Sonora Market and Taqueria

Great food! I have been going here for the past 5 years and it is still one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the bay area. Excellent Tacos, Burritos, Enchiladas, Salsa’s etc.

We were surprised and delighted by this little taqueria in a strip mall. The food was excellent! Fresh ingredients. Tasty beef and chicken tacos. Yummy vegetarian burrito. Fire roasted salsa is authentic. We keep coming back!

Finally found a decent taco and burrito in the North Bay! Sure it took a lot of trial and error, but now I’ve got my place to go when I’m craving *real* Mexican food. While the ambiance might not be anything to write home about, the food will quickly make you forget all of the open space and lack of design.

My son and I really enjoyed our dinner. He comes here quite often being so close to his High School and I tried it for the first time. The cook came out and asked if everything was good. «Muy Bueno! And I am stuffed! Hugh portion!

Tried the salsa and it was watery it would not stick to the chip. The Camaron soup a complete disappointment tasted like a ceviche where they added can tomato juice. There are better palces in the neighborhood though.

Eat here from time to time. Its usually empty inside but then again, i always order to go. What i really love is their taste of their steak (carne asada), its juicy and full of flavor. Most authentic places in marin just do the usual marinating and some even serve it dry. I love it here, stadf is always friendly ready to help and serve.

The food is a 5 star rating — very tasty, fresh, authentic, and great portions. Service, prices and beer selection are also 5 stars. Must lower the overall to 4 stars because the place is a dive inside and has very little character and makes you wonder why you are there. This store was Cook’s Hardware when I was a kid and the place looks more like a hardware store than a restaurant. But other than that, the food is awesome!!!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I mean seriously, this place is so great. Not only do I feel great about supporting a local family business and genuinely nice people… I love supporting great mexican food! The place is a very casual taqueria with some indoor and outdoor seating and I have great memories hanging out at this place all throughout high school with friends. Now lets talk about the food… from nachos to burritos to chimichangas… good god this place is good! Homestyle mexican food at its best! I’m a vegetarian and they have always been awesome at getting my order right. not once have I had meat accidentally put in my food (which is rare and amazing). My mom cannot have dairy and they have always been really careful and accommodating about no cheese or sour cream in her food. I definitely recommend giving this place a try if you’re in the area and you want some killer food!

My nachos were delicious, I haven’t been here in a while but I can say it’s always amazing, horchata’s are also TO DIE FOR, better then la hacienda… But anyways always a yummy Mexican restaurant right around the corner from my house. Side note it’s good to know they keep the place clean even if it is a small pick up and go restaurant.

One of my favorite local places to stop in for a quick Mexican meal. It is nothing fancy but they have delicious food, I have never had any issues with them, they are reasonably priced, yummy salsas, and I love the family that owns it.

Very good service. Place is simple. The tacos are very good and the whole beans were great. As for the red hot sauce a little to hot for me. Very good Mexican food.

Friendly service, great food local neighborhood feel. Great enchiladas and burritos. Love the horchatas too, although occasionally they are out.

This is my family’s go to spot for take out. We love the burritos, tostada salad, and fajitas. Very affordable and fast service.

Terra Linda’s hidden Mexican food gem. Even though it may look small and not necessarily like an inviting restaurant, this place is amazing. I’ve been coming here for many years and I am constantly reminded why I come back. I always get a super burrito with steak or chicken and they’re amazing. The prices are very low for fairly large burritos that come with chips and salsa. They also have other great options on the menu. The only reason I would give it 4 and not 5 stars is because of the layout/​appearance. Other than that there is nothing to complain about! Definitely worth it to check this place out!

This place is so chill. I have been coming here for 4 years and love it! A nice family runs it! The food is super good! Their prices are good. When the weather is nice, we just sit outside:) When I get take out, it’s quick and they have never made a mistake!

One of the most depressing restaurant I have ever been in.
With all the mexican food around, I’d pass on this one, much better food and atmosphere elsewhere.
We live in the area and I am not sure the owners really care about their establishment or the neighborhood or improving the wonderful space they have. Truly a waste.

Stale chips to go with a sub par burrito.
Tortillas and chicken were low quality (globs of fat and gristle). Spices were pretty sub par (bland mostly). Service was good and people were nice, it’s just too bad they are running a restaurant

We got food to go.
I got tamales and the boyfriend got enchiladas.
We do not like to waste food but after a few bites both of us had to throw the rest of it away. We just couldn’t eat it. So horrible.
My tamale was like a bone-​dry, tasteless rock.
Coming here was a big mistake. Lesson learned.

Creamy refried beans and delicious tostada. Consistently good food and friendly service keep me coming back.
