There Peruvian Tamales were amazing! However, if you go… YOUMUST! MUST! MUST! Buy a chicharron sandwich. Also, the staff is so sweet and welcoming. I would definitely come again from Sacramento.

I wanted a garden party that show cased Peruvian food. Alas I don’t cook and a good thing too! Carla made most the food and it was outstanding! The Anticuchos were oh so tender and tasty. Empandas were the best I ever had and the 3 sauces were perfect. People raved over the Ceviche. For desert we had the classic Alfajores. Yum! I highly recommend her cooking. Alas we forgot to take pictures of the spread of food.

Both of our sandwiches were very good, piled very high with their respective meats. My sandwich was the chicharron, a pork and sweet potato sandwich with pickled red onions. My friend had the house baked ham sandwich that was also very good. The owner was very friendly and explained to us the cultural history of the sandwiches.

Well well well what could I say about Chokoh Mishki-Café but oh my deliciousness?!! As I write this review I’m sitting here enjoying Peruvian Tamales with my hubby. It’s the very first time I’ve ever had one and most definitely not the last!!! I love how Carla tops them with a homemade green chile sauce and pickled red onions, the flavors harmoniously explode in your mouth! I told her that I could easily spread those onion on the bread and be happy! Love the nice company and service she and her husband offer customers as well. Nothing better than finding a home away from home in the town of San Rafael! Can’t travel to Peru right now so this is the next best thing!!! I certainly will come back soon and certainly wish them the best in their endeavors as business owners of a sweet and yummy Peruvian Café! PS I hear their Pan con Chicharron is awesome will try soon!!!

This place exceeded all my expectations! Not only was the service exceptional and welcoming, the«pan con chicharron» materialized as a delectable and sizable sandwich that will make your mouth water before eating and having you come back for more.

Relleno was fantastic. This place is a diamond in the rough. The experience was a bit confusing: two shops in one.

This place is great. Every morning I get my coffee here just the way I like it. At lunch time I am back for the pork sandwich. It is so good with pickled onions sweet potatoes. It comes with this green hot sauce that is amazing. I recently have been buying the sauce by the bottle and putting it on everything. You must try the pork sandwich and the green hot sauce!

This is my favorite place to get coffee or tea in the morning. There is always a fun crowd of neighborhood people as well as out-of-town visitors who go there for breakfast, snacks or coffee,

Excellent, out of the ordinary, delicious food. And a terrific place to grab a cup of joe or capp on the run early in the morning. Check it out!

Hot and way cool, that’s what I say. If you’re looking for authentic and delicious go here. Great taste combination, ambiance and the chef/owners are more than friendly and accommodating. Surprise a friend and take them for a real treat! Dr. Joyce Block, seeker of new tastes.

pan de chicharron!!! one of the best sandwiches ever!!! it’s pieces of fried pig with roasted(?) sweet potatoes, thinly sliced red onions, mayo, and this crackalicious jalapeño sauce. ask for extra sauce! we got the empanadas too. tasty little thing with the exception of the olive surprise. I hate olives. it still doesn’t take away from the flaky and meaty goodness. this is a little coffe stand inside Sonora market and they have limited hours. so be sure to wake up early and get your calories on!
