One of my favorite places to visit when I’m back home in STL! Used to always go before a Cards game, now I make sure I go when I’m visiting. Great cheesy bread, along with everything else!

I really want to give this place more stars. I’ve eaten here every time I come to STL, so I’ve given it 3 chances. Each time I visit it is at a different time during the day and as the saying goes«same crap different toilet.» My biggest complaint is not about the food as sub-par TGI Fridays style food is OK with me. It’s mostly the service, I’ve said a few times over«you can train staff to take orders, run food and mix drinks, but you will never teach someone how to have a personality.» I’ve always received service from a different person and I’ve never had a wonderful experience with any of them. They’ve been rude, they’ve been short and passive, they’ve been almost as non-existent as the guest count inside the restaurant. I punish myself by continuing to try, but like I said I enjoy the atmosphere of the place and the sub-par food. I also recommend the fried raviolis, they are really what keeps me coming back.

We are tourist from Colorado and wanted to taste the local fried ravioli that is suppose to be a must eat! in St louis. The waitress was helpful and patience with my wife and I. I was also surprised they offer Coffee Stout on tap, which was tasty. Also the location is perfect next to the museum. As for parking, we decided to park in a garage and walked to the restaurant which we did not mind and gave us an opportunity to tour the city. I would definitely go back to that location whenever in town.

Breakfast– service slow… tv radio and customer chat is overwhelming in the dark uninviting environment. Eggs were good. Hashbrowns cooked with garlic butter. Garlic was burned. Sour dough toast only toasted on one side. If you have lots of time and like garlic its your kind a place.

Staying in St. Louis for the next week for Urbana, so checking out the food options nearby. A few steps from Hyatt and Hilton at the Ballpark hotel, so its not too far. Food and portions were quite good, affordable prices(the price you’d expect for a diner, ~$ 10 – 20). Got the Italian sausage pasta and cheese lasagna with four friends and split it, so the bill in the end came up for around 24 $ and we were all adequately satisfied. Service was a bit slow/spotty in getting our bills in the end, but understandable, as the place was busy. Would recommend!

Excellent service from our very friendly waitress. Steak was superb. Kids meals were $ 5. Close to the Arch. Atmosphere was that of a 60 year old downtown corner restaurant. Cool fish tank and cozy on a cold night.

Interesting food here. Nachos are like none I’ve ever seen, and not all that great. The root beer float was good, but c’mon how hard is that to get right? TVs were so loud we couldn’t even talk to each other.

Not good Our service was very bad We received the wrong food and then by the time our pizza came out it was cold. 3 out of the 4 guys at the table were over 240lbs and less than half the pizza was eaten. That is when you know it’s bad.

My wife and I stopped in for a quick bite on an overnight stay in St Louis during a long road trip. Didn’t want a full meal, and the toasted raviolis in other reviews sounded intriguing. Ordered the toasted ravioli and the asiago cheese dip. Both were outstanding. Obviously NOT the frozen/reheated apps that so many places peddle. Great service, and a casual bar & grill atmosphere made for a comfortable and enjoyable respite for these weary travelers.

We were directed here by a park service person in the old courthouse. We wanted a nice lunch for a reasonable price. Wow! The people were instantly accepting and wonderful. Our daughter uses a wheel chair and the hostess asked her where she wanted to sit! Most people ignore a person using a chair. The hostess made a point of saying goodbye to our daughter and using her name an hour later. The food was awesome. We had toasted ravioli as an appetizer and then one had it for lunch. We were delighted to have this St Louis specialty and everyone enjoyed it. The appetizer serving was more than enough for lunch! The soup of the day was cream of broccoli and it was outstanding! This was a lovely place to eat and reasonably priced. I recommend it to the tourist who wants a good meal while touring near the arch.

Im shocked they have such low rating! I was more that impressed when we stopped here for lunch while spending the day in the city. There was a parking garage near by and we didn’t mind the block and half walk. The staff was great. The hostess made some small talk while she seated us. Our waiter was right on time showing up after we settled into our seats. Very friendly and fast service. I had the baked cannelloni, yummy is all I have to say. We recently have tried three bad Italian places in row so this was such a relief. Bread came with our meal and we had a salad too. Everything was great and we will defiantly be back.

I don’t understand all the hype with this place. I tried their«famous» toasted ravioli and was left completely unimpressed. It just wasn’t good! It tasted very oily and lacked stuffing. Then we ordered a pizza and that was ok. Maybe people come to this place because of the cheap prices because it’s certainly not due to quality food.

Nice sports bar feel to this place. Here on business and needed to grab dinner by myself. Friendly and inviting staff. Cheap beer and wine too. Steaks all under $ 30. I had a porterhouse steak, which came with a salad and 1 side, $ 26. Price point is low. Salad was blah, steak overlooked a bit and fake butter for my potato. I’ll know how to order better the next time. Happy hour prices are very low. ENJOY!

Food was delicious. Had food from here on Labour day. The fish and shrimps were cooked exceptionally well. YUMMY!!! There is one small concern though, they were short on staff so it took around 40 – 55 minutes for the food to be served. Nevertheless we thoroughly enjoyed our food!

We thought we would get lucky coming here due to it being within walking distance of Busch Stadium and on the outside, it looks like a place that has been here forever, thus giving us the impression that we could get a good meal before a Cardinals game. If I don’t miss my mark by much, I’d say out of town guests who are clueless, are what keep this place afloat. Cons: — The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. — The food we ordered was mediocre at best. It seemed that most of the food our table ordered had been sitting under a warmer prior to being brought out, to the point that one of the 2 chicken parm sandwiches we ordered was cold and the bread was a complete soggy mess. — Stingy portion of red sauce on the pasta and the red sauce tasted great. — Dining room was dirty and clearly lacks attention to detail in cleaning up food that has been dropped on the floor and even in the wall vents. — The sweet tea comes from the fountain, which our waitress was kind enough to let us know prior to taking our order, but it was more like sweetened water. Pros: — Location(5 minute walk from Busch Stadium) — Our waitress was a doll and very nice and helpful. — The pizza looks amazing and is made with provel cheese, we wish we had gotten that instead. If you’re going to go… I’d try the pizza! If we are ever looking for a meal before a Cards game again, we may go again and try the pizza.

Wow! Inexpensive and the most delicious food at this price! Seriously, top restaurant service and food at reasonable prices. I had the chicken pesto which pasta and steak came highly recommended by the waiter, Max. He was very alert to our needs. One recommendation that I have is for the restaurant is to serve a bread roll or something similar for pasta dishes.

I walk in and get seated, order, and not five minutes later am brought my main course. Chicken Parm«on a bed of pasta» which was far from that. Not only was I baffled that a chicken was cooked in less than five minutes, but the waitress that brought it out to me told me that it was fresh… The only good thing I have to say is that Tom, my waiter, is the only reason this place gets any kind of decent review even though it’s a one star. As soon as he saw my plate, he scooped it up and told me that I wasn’t going to eat that knowing that they sent me a plate within five minutes of ordering. So thank you Calecos for hiring a great waiter who cares about his clients. As far as food goes, I’ll never set foot in one again nor will I allow anybody I care about to do so either.

We were starving after the game. I think people forget about this place since BPV. We got a table right away. This is going to be so mean, but our server looked like he was a homeless person that walk in off of the street and they hired him. His shirt was dirty and it had holes in it. He told us that he had broken his foot and his balance was a little off, so he could carry a tray. The food was good, we all just had sandwiches.

Be prepared for a LONG read of the menu, but they have it all! Pizza is decent and portions are great. I’m taking away one star for service, only because it’s hit or miss on the times I’ve been there.(please don’t let my beer get empty when you’re clearly not busy) I’ll be back because it’s that kind of place. TIP: For some strange reason, it draws a shady late night crowd… but so does the rest of the block.

Three stars only because they can handle a giant crowd competently and expeditiously. My coworkers and I stopped in on an hour-long lunch break on a Saturday; apparently the Cardinals also had a big game starting within the hour. The hostess quickly assessed the groupings, sat the separate parties, and our waitress promptly and smilingly appeared to take orders. Food was pretty average — giant portions and lots of cheese melted on everything. It’s not the most vegetarian-friendly place(my options were either a cheese pizza or a salad). I went with the Greek salad — veggies were crisp, no brown lettuce, but nothing really outstanding either. They brought yeast rolls before the meal that were so good, you just know they are taking up your entire daily allocation of bad-for-you goodness. I wouldn’t hesitate to go here again, but I also might not go out of my way to return.
