I used this location for delivery a couple days ago and the person on the phone was absolutely horrible. Distracted. Rude. My delivery rider was awesome and I tipped him well. I just called back and cannot believe how absolutely rude the young lady was on the phone.(I actually hung up on her) I felt like I was bothering her! Good thing she doesn’t work for me, she would be UNEMPLOYED! Sorry JJ you just lost me as a customer. I have 2 friends with 6 franchises and will make sure to comment to them when I get back to Illinois.

Waited an hour and a half for a three sandwich delivery on a Monday, two weeks ago. They failed to follow up regarding the long wait, or offer any type of discount. I’m typically pleased with their delivery service, but that was the first and last time I’ll utilize that location.

Jimmy Johns as a business concept is awesome. Delicious, simple food fast. You won’t find any of that with this location. I ordered my simple, off-the-menu sandwich with one alteration, no tomatoes, at 1:45pm and didn’t even see the delivery guy until an HOUR later. This might be understandable if I lived far away or somewhere that was hard to get to, but I live literally 4 blocks down the street near Bailey’s Range. I could have gone into Bailey’s and eaten an entire delicious meal with good service in the time it took them to bring me my food. I actually recommend that as an option instead. When I called the store after 30+ minutes of waiting for«freaky fast» delivery, the woman who answered the phone blatantly LIED to me, and stated that«we’ve been calling you» to let me know that the driver was somehow nearby? I had been carrying my phone with me since I ordered to make sure I’d hear it, and I hadn’t received a SINGLE phone call since I placed my order; I mentioned this to her, and she played it off saying that my sandwich was«out for delivery» and I would have it soon. It took another 20+ minutes before I saw the delivery guy, whom I waited for in our lobby. When I finally did get my food, the guy apologized for the delay, but offered nothing else. There was no receipt attached to the bag, and it looked like it had been dropped on the ground and stepped on. To top everything off, they got my order wrong, and the toppings on the sandwich weren’t right. Sure, they didn’t put any tomatoes on there, like I asked, but it was also missing onions, oregano, and Italian vinaigrette. So I’m left with a skimpy portion of meat and cheese, dressed with limp, sad, lettuce. This location is obviously VERY understaffed, if it takes them more than an hour to delivery a sandwich down the street, and it is clear that the staff they do have are poorly trained, especially to the point where they condone lying to customers about the status of their delivery order. Save your money and go to one of the other sandwich places nearby, or what a few blocks over to Sauce on the Side, or even any of the restaurants on Wash Ave. This place isn’t worth your time or your frustration.

This location is slow! If you’re going to take more than an hour to deliver my sandwich, don’t charge me so much for delivery. My office is literally a few blocks away. EDIT: 75 minutes later!!! Hell no. And when I called they didn’t even apologize or offer anything for free. Never again JJs. I think your owner murders lions, anyway.

This is just a fast, fresh and frickin’ delicious submarine sandwich. Not every review can be a literary masterpiece.

I’m addicted to the #4 Turkey Tom. I have never walked into this location, but have had delivery dozens of times. The delivery guys are always super prompt and courteous. I’ve had moments where they’ve had my order to me in under 10 minutes of placing it online. The one time I experienced where they were running behind, the manager called me to update me and make sure I still was interested in waiting. That’s great service! I only wish regular mustard was available on the sandwiches and not as a packet on the side, but that is the deal with all the locations apparently.

I wish I would of read the reviews before coming here… i read some after the fact with them having high prices and reducing their portions. anyways, I was just stopping in for a quick bite for my little nephew. he was starving, we were downtown and it seemed like every ‘fast food’ like place was already closed. jimmy johns was still open(didn’t know they closed at 8, went in at 7:45). i ordered the turkey sandwich and i was floored on what they put on the sandwich… it was just turkey, no lettuce, mayo, nothing but just 3 slices of thin turkey with the bread for 5 $. I could of went to culinara and got something quick for that amount. i gave it 2 stars because the store was super clean inside. oh and that smell that everyone complains about… it’s the cleaning supplies they use. unfortunately, it’s something they can’t control or they could… but at least you know it’s cleaned inside.

Very disappointed. I was on hold for 10 minutes for a delivery and then I waited a half hour before my sub was actually delivered(with the location only .8 miles away). I’ve never had such an awful experience with jimmy johns before

They just raised their prices $ 1.10 per sub and cut their drivers pay in half. As you can see in the photo, they have significantly reduced their portions on the tuna sandwich. The only unique thing about this restaurant was the sprouts which they got rid of. Snarfs down the road offers a much superior and more delicious product for less.

Subs are really good, but overpriced and small portions for what you’re paying. Have to leave the bread in to be close to full from a turkey tom sub. My biggest gripe about this place is definitely the markup for delivery. It’s almost $ 2 per sub higher to get ‘freaky fast’ delivery. Not a bad deal if you’re getting one or two subs, but our office consistently orders 20+ subs for lunch and learns. Now that we know it’s marked up per sub, we’re going to start going with another option. When you’re paying $ 30 – 40 extra to have delivery, plus a tip, it’s kind of ridiculous. Do what every other delivery company does and charge a delivery charge($ 2 – 3) instead of raising the price per sandwich. This practice is incredibly deceiving to the customer, and they have lost our corporate business. Not to mention, nowhere on their online ordering site do they mention the pricing is higher for delivery than in store.

Great place to grab a quick sandwich during my lunch break. Employees are very friendly and since I go in about once a week I guess I have become a regular and they know my sandwich before I even order! Like the commercials say, it’s «freaky fast»

I’ve normally had good experiences at Jimmy John’s but this location had shockingly poor customer service. Typically, Jimmy John’s does have«freaky fast» deliver but this location took close to an hour to deliver a sandwich a few blocks away. When he arrived, he realized he forgot to bring the soda that was ordered. He said he would be right back with it and offered another bag of chips or something for the inconvenience. I was surprised, and said how about a cookie, as I had already ordered a bag of chips. He said sure thing and that he would be right back. He returned about 30 minutes later(somehow it takes that long to grab a soda from a few blocks away) with the soda and another bag of chips saying that he was told the cookie was too expensive to give away for free. The cost of a bag of chips is $ 1.29 The cost of a cookie is $ 1.50 Normally something like this wouldn’t bother me, and I wasn’t even going to eat the cookie, I was going to give it to a coworker, but the excuse they gave just really rubbed me the wrong way. I work at a hotel where I refer several people to nearby places to eat every day. I can say that I will never refer a customer to this Jimmy John’s location due to their lack of common sense and poor service. I should have read the other comments on here as I see poor service is a trend at this location.

I have never been so mad at a store before in my life. I ordered JJ’s last night. I live on pine and 9th, FOUR streets down. I ordered online at 6:45pm, on a Wednesday, no sporting events or anything going on. By 7:30 I called and asked where my food was. They told me they only had one driver and he had 8 other deliveries, and had had 8 before that. Okay, I mean I was probably on the way to those other deliveries, but whatever I will wait. ANOTHERHOURLATER, at 8:30, I called AGAIN. They answered, «Jimmy John’s, we’re closed». I asked where my sandwich was since I live four streets away and it had taken 2 hours. He informed me «He came and knocked on your door but you didn’t answer so he brought it back». I explained for one, he did not even call me to let me know he was there, and for two there is no possible way he knocked on my door. You have to have a fab to even get in the front door to my building, and another to get on the elevator, and he sure as hell didn’t come to my door as I was there ALLNIGHTWAITING. The man then rudely replied«Well what do you want for him to redeliver it? I’ll send him out even though we’re CLOSED.» IFYOUWOULDHAVEDELIVEREDITTHEFIRSTTIMETHISWOULDNOTHAVEBEENANISSUE. The kicker is, they gave me a sandwich they made 2 hours before, which by this time was starting to get stale on top and the whole bottom was soggy. The man finally delivered it and said I was here earlier. I said well you didn’t call and obviously since I just had to open the door for you, you didn’t come in. He said nothing. I PAIDFORTHIS. Didn’t even get it free after 2 hours wait. I would have said just forget it, but as you know most things downtown had closed by this time and I was forced to eat this disgusting sandwich. I will be contacting a manager today.

This place has it down to a science when it comes to customer service. You will not wait longer than 8 min to get your sandwich, at noon during the busiest part of lunch, and with 5 people in front of you at the same time. Yep that is right. There is a lot of hustle and bustle but they know how to serve the customers. I cant comment on the type of sandwiches because they taste the same no matter which Jimmy J’s you go to BUT they were not sloppy, lacking ingredients or rushed looking at the speed that they are made. So If you want a quick lunch and I mean really quick lunch then Jimmy John’s is your best bet!

Because I eat here almost every other day, I figured a review is in order. I heart JJ’s — they have the best bread and super fast service. Even though I always get the same thing, the menu is pretty robust. Perfect for a quick in-and-out lunch!

It’s my favorite sandwich maker on earth. yes a high claim but if you’ve been waiting for years to come to this side of the country for a #4– turkey tom and a big juicy n crunchy pickle then you know what I’m talking about. I was in town right after Xmas for the famous Urbana09, and ordered my long awaited sandwich to go. The moment I’ve been waiting for is up on me as I walk in the cold back to the exhibit hall I was working, I unwrap the sandwich for that incredible dreamy first bite but… YIKES. the sandwich was not a #4… it was something else… with stuff in it(onions) that would be a disgrace for exhibitors as they talk to students for hours… sigh. Such a sad lead-down. Not sure when the next time will be that I get to eat a Jimmy Johns. Alas, JJ workers, a royal mistake was made that couldn’t be taken back.
