Incredibly delicious food. Very complex and definitely not thrown together. I had a masala wrap, curry rice and samosas from their food truck and they didn’t disappoint. Also, the employees were very kind and seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. Highly recommend!

Work brings in food trucks. I tried this one because I didn’t want to eat my sad sad excuse for a lunch(something without grease or meat and a lot of leaves… the woes of someone trying to not get fat). I got the curried noodles as a side(really good, definitely will get it again) and one of their wraps. OMG so good! I tried a little of all of their sauces and loved all of them. I cannot wait for this place to stop by my work again. Yum. Food trucks!

This place is amazing. I really enjoyed the service and menu. Most items I wouldn’t normally get but after trying every dish served I am very amazed with the quality and taste. Definitely recommend this place.

I seem to be stuck between 4&5 stars. Why? Mainly because there were so many things to love but a few things fell short and felt out of place. What I loved: #1 — their dining model. Go for the all-you-can-eat dinner on a Friday night and you’re going to get to try about 2 – 3 bites of about a dozen different dishes. After you’ve tried them all they will bring you more of anything that you want. #2 — they are a vegetarian restaurant, not a regular restaurant with vegetarian dishes. Indian is a cuisine where I really don’t miss the meat. #3 — their energy. The owner is really enthusiastic about the food she’s producing and it echoes through the staff. #4 — sensitivity to food allergies and preferences. I really liked that they asked and then made sure not to serve me anything with the ingredient I told them I couldn’t eat. They even made one of their dishes without said ingredient and I appreciated the thought. #5&6 — my two favorite bites were the paneer wrap and the cabbage and carrot fritter with ginger garlic soy sauce. The wrap was so flavorful that you hardly realize it is built around a pretty flavorless cheese. The bread is slightly crispy and slightly chewy at the same time. The sauce was the boss and really made it a mouth full of flavor. The fritters? One amazing bite! Crispy and tangy… soooo good! What fell short: A couple of the dishes seemed like they could have been a bit better with some additional work. Chief among those was the raw vege sandwich. White bread should be replaced with something more interesting to improve this sandwich. Yes, it was about 13 bucks for dinner but it would have been nice to have felt a little less rushed. I’ll most certainly be back!

Amazing! The sit down restaurant does three courses of tiny portions of several dishes per course, and then you can ask for unlimited helpings of whatever you like best. I honestly don’t totally remember what we ate — there was a carrot salad, Indo-Chinese fried rice, a masala vegetable wrap in a roti, and a cracker with some kind of topping and tamarind based sauce. Everything we ate was excellent. The mango lassi was also great, as was the coconut mango ice cream dessert. The meal is something like $ 12 a person which I think is a total steal. The owners wait on tables and are very friendly and explain each dish as they bring it to your table. Everything is vegetarian but the dishes were well balanced so I wasn’t missing meat at all. By the time we left we were the only people there who weren’t a multi-generational Indian family, which to me affirms the quality and authenticity of the food. The place is a little hard to find. Google and Apple maps will both dump you out half a mile from the restaurant, but if you keep heading down Adie Rd you will recognize the restaurant by the large and elaborately decorated food truck parked in front.

First off, we had an incredible experience on a recent Wednesday evening sampling vegan street fare at Bombay Food Junkies storefront in St. Ann(near the airport). A few things to note: 1) Do not go expecting your typical Indian Food(Chicken Tikka Masala, Samosas and Nana, et al); 2) This is not a buffet(like those offered by many Indian restaurants); 3) While this is all you can eat — by the time you get through all 12 items you may not have a lot of room for seconds(and I don’t recommend trying to overdue it). Alright, now that the group rules are laid. The folks that run Bombay Food Junkies are great. They are very good about explaining each of the dishes. The food your getting is street food. It’s the kind of stuff you’d find if you were visiting Bombay on food carts and various restaurants. You can start by sampling Indian sodas(including a cumin flavored«Masala» soda). Coconut water(served in a coconut) is a fun option. The lime water is amazing as well. There are also mango lasses and other delightful drinks. The starter plate came with three items: Bhel(think masala meets rice crispies); Sev Puri(flavorful Indian crackers with a savory spread); and a special item — which for us was a mini nan-like bread with chutney. Next out was a chickpea salad(with tomatoes and cucumber) — a great palette cleanser. The«Manchurian» came out next — a cabbage«ball» — which had almost a meat ball consistency. This paired well with the noodles that arrived a few minutes later. There was also a serving of fried rice that was pretty darned amazing. After we had some time to process through these items the«Vada Pav» arrived. Kind of like a samosa on a bun? Then the«Pav Bhaji» a flavorful, tomato-based stew with a side of friend bread. They also served a «Chutney Sandwich» which I’m sure must’ve been good(just not memorable). The rounded out things with their wrap of the day. Which I would have had more of had I not been so stuffed by this point. We rounded out the meal with some coconut rice pudding. If you are looking for a culinary adventure, then Bombay Food Junkies is a great spot to try. Pricing was very reasonable: $ 12.99 for adults; $ 8.99 for kids. Drinks ranged from $ 2 – 5. Highly recommend.

I can’t say enough positive things about this place! I went to their food truck for earth day and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! So incredible. I got the ‘munch bowl’ and the cheesecake. Both vegan, both delicious!

Value for money: Zero, Prices are on a very higher side .2÷5 Customer service: Could have been better. Only two people managing the restaurant with 20+ customers in the dining area.1/5 Taste of the food: 3⁄5 Interiors/Cleanliness: 2⁄5 Definitely needs a make over. Overall an OK experience. This review is for their restaurant and not the food truck. Visit this place if you want to get a taste of the Mumbai street food.

Wow — BFJ is authentic and does not disappoint. The entire concept is unique for STL — sit at a table and wait for endless portions of popular Bombay food items in succession. I went twice in 2 weeks, both with a friend from Bombay, and we were impressed! The owners are incredibly passionate and invested in their small business. Service is attentive, and they take constructive criticism well. The concept of an eco-friendly brick and mortar to their food truck runs smoothly. Most importantly, the food is authentic and delicious! Try the Fresh Lime Soda or the Fresh Coconut Water(their newest addition). On Wednesdays, any drink purchase also includes some pani puri(a popular Indian street food of fried wafers, filled with cooling spiced water).

Finally, a place in St. Louis where I can get all my favorite Indian street food. Bombay Food Junkies is AMAZING! I love the concept: four courses total, each with three to four dishes, in a tapas-style menu. And at the end, you can ask for more of any dish you like. The owner serves you herself and really goes the extra mile for the customers. It’s Indian hospitality at it’s finest. Go now. You won’t regret it.

Delicious! This was different than any Indian restaurant I had ever been. You don’t order off a menu. Instead, they have three courses with about four foods each, so you get around a dozen different small servings to try. There is a list on the table of each food and a description, so even if you haven’t had this type of food before you have an idea what it is and the name of the dish. You can then ask for more of any of the dishes and when you’ve had all you want they bring dessert. It’s all you can eat for a very reasonable price and you get to try so many different foods. All the food is vegetarian, but I am not a vegetarian and still thought it was very tasty and filling. It’s a small, family run place so the service was excellent and very friendly. It almost felt like going to a friend’s house for dinner. Check the hours before you go because they are a little unusual-though we were told with this was because the family split time between the food truck and the restaurant while still trying to have quality family time so you can’t be too upset. Looking forward to eating here again soon!

I am a frequenter of the food truck when it’s near my office during the week and I must say that I plan for these lunches weeks in advance! Everything I’ve ever had here has been absolutely amazing, and that’s coming from an avid meat eater. Their quick and friendly service along with the fantastic menu option will continue to keep me coming back for more!

Really really yummy – amazing food and the owners and waiters were super kind and friendly. It’s always a great sign when the restaurant staff are excited to be serving you their food. Had the all-you-can-eat menu at their brick and mortar. Everything was fresh and super flavorful, and it was a fun dining experience, too. You get a taste of everything on the menu(we had about 12 dishes), and then you can get more of anything you want.

Like seriously the best Indian food I’ve had since living in India. Sad they don’t always have samosa chaat but they are my goto food truck at a Tower Grove Park in the summer. Love them!

This was our first Indian food after moving back to STL from Mumbai. We were really missing Vada Pav, and had seen this place in the Times of India article. While it wasn’t exactly like the street food we left behind, mostly because the pav(bun) just wasn’t the same consistency as the Portuguese inspired ones you get in Mumbai, it was all delicious, and definitely quenched our desire for the street food we left behind. If you are sick of all the cookie cutter Indian food, I highly recommend trying this.

This place is awesome! We had a party catered at home for about 50 people and the food was a hit. The food cart was parked at the garage and food came fresh right to our plates. For the appetizers we had the pani puri(made and served right in our kitchen) which were sweet and spicy and delicious, as well as the samosa pav which is a samosa sandwiched in between a soft white bun. This was just mind blowingly good — crispy and soft at the same time, with chutney on top. They also made fresh made to order masala and plain dosas, which were wayy better than I’ve had in NJ. They were thin and crisp and the potatoes were so flavorful. I just wish the sambar was a bit spicier but the smooth and creamy coconut chutney made up for it. They also served mango lassi and kulfi. Overall just so so good.

Pretty good, but I found a hair in my first sporkful of curried noodles. :(The paneer roti wrap was quite good, but I asked them to make it as spicy as they could, which still wasn’t that hot. Oh well. The mango lassi tasted good but was a bit runny, but they didn’t fill my cup(there was an inch of dead space from the top after the ice).

I supported the kick starter campaign of this food truck but didn’t get a chance to try it until recently. I love Indian food and I’m a vegetarian, so this is a perfect match for me. I ordered a masala wrap with a side of curry noodles and a mango drink. Unfortunately, I checked in after I ordered and didn’t realize that there is a check in offer. My food came out quickly. They have a couple different sauces that you can put on your wrap, and I chose a tamarind sauce. I was a little disappointed that the mango drink was a bottle and not something they made up. In fact, it was half in Spanish, haha. It was ok. The wrap was good– loved the sauce I added and the consistency of the naan. The masala was a little bit spicy for me and I paid for that later. The star of the meal was the noodles. They were delicious! I definitely would like to come back to this truck and try more offerings!
