This is a wonderful shop! We stopped in to sample wine and were pleasantly surprised by the amazing food. The wine selection was impeccable as well. The perfect end to our Valentine’s Day weekend. We will be back soon!

Had a wonderful experience here! The customer service is OUTSTANDING. Not to sure what to get for gifts and the owner came to our rescue, worked with our budget, and made beautiful arrangements for us. The staff took care of us and while we waited for our things to be wrapped, we enjoyed a glass of wine and some food. Equally delicious and we devoured our albacore spread. Be sure to stop by for all your gifting needs for others or yourself.

First time in and really impressed. The wine selection is top and the few beers that they do have were obviously chosen with great care. The olive oil and balsamic that they have around the shop to try and buy are incredible with very reasonable price tags. So if you’ve only got 10 min and are looking to pick up something anyone would love this is your shop. Do yourself a favor though and come for the afternoon… Trade stories, have a bite and drink some small batch wine. Just don’t leave without checking out the many olive oils and balsamic vinegars!!!

I got the pineapple vinegar and the jalapeño olive oil. I love them both.

I just had the most wonderful experience tasting olive oil! I couldn’t decide which to buy, luckily they had a sample pack. They also ship out of state so I’m looking forward to refills in the future! There’s also a cute wine bar and beautiful items made from olive trees.

My wife and I love We Olive & Wine Bar. We drop in at least every other week for lunch and wine. We enjoy the wide selection of olive oil and Kim the owner is quite knowledgeable and very helpful.

The staff members were absolutely wonderful! So friendly and helpful. The olive oils and vinegars they offer are SOOO good! You can taste all of the different ones they sell and they’ll even offer to pair a couple oils and vinegars together for you to give you an example of how to use them as dressings or marinades. I ended up buying a jalapeño olive oil, a basil olive oil, a strawberry white vinegar, and a fig balsamic vinegar. I can mix and match them and they make amazing salad dressings! The wine bar is also great! Their selection is the perfect size — plenty of options, but not so many that you feel overwhelmed. Really interesting wines, too! Things I haven’t had other places. They offer half glasses, glasses, and bottles. I tasted quite a few wines and ended up doing a couple half glasses and buying a couple bottles I loved. It was all delicious! I love this place! Can’t wait to go back!

People need to try the food here too. They have a great little menu which we ordered from. Everything tasted fantastic! We also had a great wine flight with our meal. They have good beers and some good happy hour deals.

What an adorable place. Love the ambiance. It has a wonderful patio out front and dining inside. So much packed into this place. The olive oil is top quality, some of the best I’ve ever had. Jordan was very knowledgable and helped me find the perfect pairing of olive and balsamic flavorings. They have delicious salads, cheese platters, olives, wine, and so much more. Be sure to check this place out.

Great location(center of town), great Olive Oil, vinegar, cheese plate, wine — everything! The Owner, and our hostess, Kim, knows her stuff! I have a hard time recommending this place any higher! It’s a small, intimate, casual and fun place!

I’m writing about the wine bar portion of this business: The variety of the wines offered are wonderful. The service is above par. The prices on the wine are okay. However, the seating area leaves much to be desired. There’s no aisle way to be had. When patrons and staff are squeezing themselves through the only aisle and you’re having to hold your glass over someone else’s head to get another pour on the tasting flight, there’s a problem with the seating layout. They’ve crammed too many seats into too small of an area such that the back of the barstools are literally about 12″ away from the back of the chairs at the adjoining tables when all the chairs are occupied. They need to eliminate some of the seating(specifically the high round table) in order to make the wine bar area more comfortable.

We had a small group gathering at We Olive on Tuesday evening and got to taste stuff from the the bites portion of the menu. the peppadews were amazing. I own CK Catering /Culinary Kid Catering and will be incorporating these into my appetizer offering. I purchased the Balsamic and some Jalapeño Olive oil what a great way to spice up some fresh greens. The service and hospitality were just what you would expect from a quaint little place in the middle of old town San Juan Capistrano, top notch. Kim greeted our group as if we were family and we had just met for the first time. We will be going back often. Thank you

San Juan Cap has a new darling in town, but the old darling needn’t worry. Thankfully there’s plenty of room for both. The old darling is the renowned Mission, which brings a luxurious and deeply felt sense of history to SJC. The Mission is a hit with tourists like me and my lovely Signora, not to mention all the schoolchildren arriving on an interminable stream of yellow buses. But you can’t eat the Mission(not legally), or pour it over fresh homemade pasta, it won’t give you craft beer or amazing wine(excluding communion), or humus or gourmet cheese. That’s where We Olive excels, and mightily so! The We Olive logo says relax, enjoy the«Olive Oil Experience» as it says on the front door. And what a thoughtful Experience it is. The outside is charming, but inside it’s gorgeous. Lush soft tones, a warm urban vibe, and exposed brick walls that blend industry with contemporary. All around the shop are bottles of exotic olive oil, and it’s fun to tour the Olive World just by reading labels. We Olive also has olive oil available in stainless steel casks, for those who like the take-home gallon size, I presume. Sitting at the end of We Olive’s long, clean bar, I had a glass of La Vigne, a 2012 Merlot from Paso Robles. Stunning. My lovely Signora never tried Riesling, so for her I requested Santa Lucia Highlands 2014. Equally stunning, only more so; we bought a bottle to take home and worship. Likely we will not return to the Mission – been there done that, but We Olive is worth many return trips. A great little gem indeed! 5 *****

What a great little gem in San Juan Capistrano! I stumbled across this place randomly and figured I would drop in and have a look at their craft beers. They have some great beers available that I haven’t heard of before, so I figured I would try a couple of them. Both were awesome! As far as food, I started with a cheese plate and then got a flat bread. The cheese plate was really good, good variety and great flavors! The flat bread was great as well. Definitely recommend dropping in this place for a nice intimate experience. Matthew, the bartender, did a great job explaining the offerings and variety of wine and options that were available. Will definitely be back!

As long as you don’t get into an olive oil debate by the stunning California-Barbie owner in her beautiful shop(she respectfully retreated from a battle with a client — smart move because old fart that I am, I would’ve walked out), this is an Olive Oil haven. I am obsessed with the stuff, in particular when drizzled over greek yogurt and greeted with local honey, crushed pistachios and chopped fruit for bfast… Or piled high on a yogurt dip for crudite’s during a nice wine afternoon. I finish ALL my grilled, poached, baked fish, chicken with the green gold. And what about a beautiful bistecca a la fiorentina? But I digress. The shop carries a range of flavored oils(not my favorite), some local delicate mannered bottles, and some gorgeous headier varietals she won me over with. It was too early for wine tasting — which having EVOO and Wine Tasting in the same shop was BRILLIANT… Although I confess, Im hard to please with Cali wines(although I have found some gems along my travels!) Shop is worth the stop. Jams, spreads, the«Cali life» in jars, beautiful olive wood items. The owner is simply beautiful, and she shows her passion in this very tasteful(all PUNSINTENDED) and welcoming, beautiful shop!

Just what San JuanCapistrano needed! Friendly service, and great tasting olive oils. This was my go to spot for the busy holidays and the feedback i have gotten from everyone I gave these to as gifts have been rave worthy. My favorites have been the peach infused olive oil and the pineapple, along with habanero. Love that you can refill your own decanters here and pay by the ounce. I love to cook and having this here in my backyard is great. I got a few great recipes to try from the owners, now if they could just make a little cookbook? Highy recommend this place.

What a great addition to San Juan Capistrano. I am very impressed with the great new spots that have gone in over the last few years and We Olive certainly has added a fun new location to add to this list. I have been to the one in SOCO and enjoyed it but I really liked this location even mores. It’s much bigger and darling. I stopped in after getting my hair done next door and had a blast sampling all the yummy olive oils, vinegars, dips and sauces. The owners were both working and very helpful. I appreciated that they weren’t pushing products and genuinely interested in what I might like. The décor is very cute and the wine bar looks fabulous. I am looking forward to going back soon and trying that too. I bought several items and have been enjoying them all. I put a couple of the dips I bought out on NYE and my friends really liked them. You can find several must haves for your kitchen as well as great gifts!
