After visiting a relative at the hospital across the street, I met up with a friend here for a quick dinner. We both thought the phở was good — standard, solid bowl of phở. My friend is Vietnamese so that says something. Strong 3 star rating for food.
The service was good. There was only one lady there, and she had a great attitude. She even offered to add broth to my phở ga, when she saw I was drinking more soup than eating noodles.
The fourth star is for the bathroom, which was unexpectedly nice for a phở restaurant, if not somewhat upscale. Apparently this place used to be a lounge?
We were the only customers there during my quick dinner. That’s too bad. Food is okay and the lady is quite nice. Maybe people are scared off by the prior bad Unilocal reviews…

Read this … the Phở has no taste unless you like to kill it with housin and sarachi. Vermicelli was old and not even edible… I complained and the person in charged just say thanks for letting him know and nothing was done to fix it. The worse part is customer service. I dont expect good customer service at a VN restaurants but when the staff agrue with the customer that is a NO NO.
I will never come here again!!!

Phở ga has no taste.
Charging $ 1 for little pot of hot tea, more like hot water with color. 2nd pot, another $ 1.
Also charged for water.
Advertised for 20% off, but bill still came out to the same price as no discount.
Not a happy customer, never will I return.

I’m not sure if this place is actually a restaurant or what? Their beef phở does not have any herb flavors or seasoning in the broth. Their chicken phở is salty and came out lukewarm. Their eggrolls were made of some questionable wrapper and the insides were inedible. Plus, it was served with some funky sweet and sour that tasted like ketchup and had a similar consistency. Where is the dressed fish sauce?
On top of that, no one speaks English so when my chicken phở dry came out in a giant bowl of soup, I couldn’t explain what it was I really wanted. *sad face
I hope they get better cooks in the kitchen cuz I had high hopes for this place, since it is literally around the corner from our place. I’ll be next door at Nam Tien until then…
