Went to see Augie today. Lee(my old barber from Custom Barbershop is retiring due to personal issues). So the plummer redoing Augies new shop sent me over to Augie’s. I was excited to see the usual barbershop setting. 2 chairs, old 60s pop/rock/country music playing in the background. As usual, I get an ivy league hair cut. I watched Augie cut another gentlemen’s hair before he did mines. I was amazed by his technique and slowly felt confident that I had a new barber. What Augie does that Lee didn’t do was a close razor shave to clean up the back side hair and around my ears. I was beyond satisfied with his service. He also has another barber in the shop. She is a Korean lady that also does a great job.(she did my brothers hair) Looks like I have a new barber. $ 12 for men’s hair cut $ 11 for seniors $ 15 on Saturdays

Cool, old school, barber shop. Cuts are 12 $ a pop, cash only. It’s a a man’s barber shop. Though, I like the cultural diversity of having an asian woman working along side the old man.

I’ve also been going to this barbershop for 15+ years, and can highly recommend it. The disparaging remark from Wei is uncalled for and, frankly, quite a cheap shot. I’ve seen all sorts of folks(and workers) in this shop and they were treated fairly and respectfully.

I have been coming to Augie for my haircuts for 20+ years. This is an old-timey barber shop(minus the girlie mags). No frills. Cash only. What do you get? A great haircut. Note: haircut — not styling, «can you do this like in the magazine», etc… It’s a haircut. $ 12. Augie has a devoted and loyal following. I take my son there. I have seen grandfather/father/son all there on more than one occasion. As for the comment by Wei that the owner is racist, I have a pretty hard time swallowing that. The other barber in the shop, a lady named Kim, is Korean and has been there at least 10 years. Maybe she was out the day you went.

I think the owner is racist. He does not like asian customers. When he did, he is not friendly and did a very fast not quality haircut on my husband and boys and stare at us like if we were from another planet. It is so close to our home, but yet this hair cut place will not see us again.

I’ve been coming here for 12 years now for my quarterly haircuts. The shop isn’t fancy, and it isn’t new, and it isn’t trendy. They take cash only, and you will get a great hair cut that always looks good. You’ll even get a shave around your ears and neck with an authentic straight razor. They are open Saturdays too.
