Hair by Jennie Voight

Jennie has been cutting my hair for years and she is amazing. I have thick curly hair which needs someone who knows the different type of techniques to use for that. She is one of the only one who I will let touch my hair.

Jennie is a very nice/​funny/​creative person. She always exceeds my expectations! Can’t wait till my next appt!

Hair-​cuts aren’t my thing.
As a kid, I kicked and screamed at the concept of being forced to sit still in a chair while some stranger took sharpened steel and swirled them around my head, eyes, and ears. After a few terrifying experiences, it was home-​hair cuts for me: mom with a bowl and scissors, me with the same hair doo for many years.
Now that I’ve gotten older, and braver, I can go get a hair-​cut without breaking out in a crying-​tantrum — that’s where Jennie comes in!
My first experience with Jennie was a week before my wedding. I left being ecstatic with the result! She took an idea I had and made it work fantastic for my style/​body type/​special event that was coming up. ‘
I keep coming back to Jennie because not only is she a great stylist, but because all those child-​hood fears of scissors and ears and blood go right out the window as we chit-​chat about cats, the strange things kids do (both of us work with kids), and good places to go beer/​wine/​etc tasting.
So, if you’re a guy, on the fence about walking into a «girly-​salon»… give Jennie a chance. She’ll have a beer for you (yes, there’s beer there), she’ll hear what look you’re going for, and having you walking out the door looking 10x better then when you came in.

I’ve gone to Jennie for a few years now and she never disappoints. I’m really particular on how I want my hair done and Jennie has only been so kind and patient to my needs. I will only go to her for a dye job because I don’t think anyone can work color the way this girl does it.
She is super attentive and goes above and beyond to make sure your needs are met. Seriously one of the best stylist in the Bay Area. You won’t regret it!

Jennie was my wedding day hair stylist, she used her magical powers and crafted 2 up-​dos that day. She gave me a lovely side chignon with lasting curls and structure. I also had her do my morning tea ceremony hair (difficult for some folks to get right, but hers was on point!) There is a traditional headdress that is worn and she understood it perfectly. In addition to that, I’ve been her client for over 6 years now. She «gets» asian hair, especially bangs! I recently had an ombré done for the summer that I absolutely LOVE. I cannot recommend her enough, feel free to message me if you need more feedback.
