Perfect. Just what I was looking for — Avery, you’re awesome! Tell Justin that duct tape looks good on him… Will stop in again next time I’m in SD.

Just moved here from Chicago, thought I left my neighborhood bar in chi town… this place is down and earth, friendly and great specials. A must go to…

This place is as close to Cheers as I’ll ever experience. I love hanging out here. I never would have thought I’d be endorsing a hotel bar on Hotel Circle but here I am. Let me count the ways. The drinks are really cheap, and all the food is surprisingly very good(excepting TJ dogs). There are two nice green felt pool tables(hereinafter«The Green Felt Downs»). The clientele is… eclectic. I’ve met rich European and Saudi Arabian travelers… I’ve also met some fish-eyed lowlife suckas. It’s magical!!! It’s always a good time here regardless of who or how many people show up. Avery, the Mon-Thurs Bartender, is the best bartender in San Diego. She is smart, funny, sweet, and attentive… I never have to wait around a long time for a Jameson(«Jame-O» as she calls it). Everyone enjoys Avery’s spunky sass, she is a bad ass. She deals with the crazy people who stumble in with aplomb… it’s a great thing to overhear hahaha. You really get the feeling that this isn’t some capitalistic money-grab operation so much as it’s a cool place to hang out(with cheap, strong drinks). For a period of time I did not drink any alcohol(a cleanse) and I was served lots of glasses of water with no attitude, no guff. That’s class. Go and get drinks from Avery now before she makes her big move from Jersey to Studio 54 where she’ll be makin’ the big bucks. This is a great place to pre-party before going downtown, or, a great place to meet up with friend(s) and shoot some pool. There are several luxurious and sumptuous flat-paneled TVs with various sporting events showing. I’ve even watched Cricket here(while I watched the Padres — a «double slap»). They even got cheap micro-brewed beers on tap. In many ways, this unsuspecting bar has made me a better person and pool player. I am sooooo cool now bros, come check this $#%@ out :) :) :)

Who would of thought that I would find a wonderful dive bar just off the lobby of the Mission Valley Resort on Hotel Circle? However, this happens to be a great bar. Was waiting for a friend at the bar and started off with a perfect Beefeater gin martini. Then had a world class bloody mary as they make their own mix. Awesome. Even the food was great. Had a quality cobb salad as we felt like just hanging out at the bar. Prices are great for big strong drinks. We had 7 drinks combined some of which were top shelf. Friend had a burger/fries, I had the salad and the damage was about $ 50 + tip. Bartender(Avery) had a wonderful energetic and bubbly attitude. This place looks like the mid 60s. However, in this situation it works perfectly. Will I be back? Absolutely. This is a great place for basic drinks, bar food and serious fun.
