The service is very good and the drinks too. I like coming here but unfortunately I’m gonna find another coffee shop to frequent because of the trashy people that hang around. I’ve been here many times and there’s usually someone doing drugs in the bathroom and then they just sit there doing weird shit, not buying anything. A lot of homeless loiter here too. They don’t make me as uncomfortable but its just an overall bad crowd in this area. Definitely won’t come back here alone.

Great place to put a nonprofit poster and get a good cup of coffee! And if it is for an arts organization, Discount Dance is right next store and will let you post your poster with them too!

This place made me miss my local neighborhood Starbucks where the barista actually greet you with a smile and are happy to have your business! The cashier and barista were unfriendly and put off by difficult order of extra chai pumps… Bathroom was out of toilet paper and looked messy. When I informed him he didn’t exactly act quickly to get in there and replace any… Thumbs down. From out of town and wouldn’t return to this Starbucks anytime soon

Customer service, especially by Ryan, Amber, and Darrell is amazing. The restaurant is clean and they always make sure the drinks are correct. They also make sure that the lines move quickly.

Amber is the nicest Barista I have ever interacted with. She wasn’t only nice to me she was nice to every customer.

I like this Starbucks as far as parking and food goes but it’s so loud in here – I don’t mean the music, I mean the employees. They scrape the chairs loudly when they sweep and just make a lot of jarring noise when they’re making drinks. I mention it only because I’ve never noticed this at other Starbucks. Otherwise, it’s one of my preferred locations.

This is definitely the best Starbucks within a 4-mile radius of our home, where there are 6 other Starbucks stores. My wife and I go there not only to get special coffee drinks and food, but most of all because of the people who work there! Most of these people used to work at another nearby Starbucks – where we first got to know them, like Amber, and appreciate their quality of service – but when they were transferred here, just after this one was remodeled and enlarged, we followed them. They always treat us and everyone else as though we’re the most important people to come into the store today. I highly recommend the Starbucks located at Baltimore and El Cajon in La Mesa, to anyone who expects and deserves to be treated as their favorite customer.

This Starbucks is the best location in San Diego. Customer service is awesome and everyone working there is helpful and friendly. The barista Amber is amazing and she is helpful when trying to choose a new beverage or simply indecisive on what to order. It’s not a drive thru and it gets really busy but it’s worth the wait.

This location always has fast service, is convenient, and clean. It’s open later than most in the area so I go here to study a lot.

They really like to take their sweet ass time here. Friendly work staff just a little slow. Wouldn’t go here if I was in a hurry.

Marissa the girl at the register was very rude. She did not ask for my name or if i would like a receipt. I waited and finally had to ask the barista twice for my drink because there was no way to know when it was ready. Fortunately the barista and another employee saved the day and brought me my drink with an apology. I saw she did the same thing to at least another customer.

If I could give them 0 stars for my visit today I would. I’m beyond disgusted in how these employees performed today. Well 2 in particular. Leslie wow she had the worst«friendly face» on ever. Not a smile no eye contact. Even attitude with her co workers. I really hope she wasn’t manager. And Ryan wasn’t too pleasant either when I told him my drink with light ice had WAYTOOMUCH ice. When Leslie gave us our corrected drink. I kid you not it was ¾ full probably due to the lack of ice and it tasted watery for being a berry refresher. I’ve been to this location a couple times and service was fine. It’s so true what they say about having 1 bad experience will make you never want to return. Sometimes these people working are alot of these customers first morning experience and the fact that they aren’t friendly they shouldn’t be working here. Starbucks is known for quick and friendly baristas not bitter ladies like Leslie who seems to hate her job and everyone she comes into contact with. I’ll never ever return to this location!

Ordered my usual coffee flavored sugar milk drink at 130 degrees. Got it at 180 instead, will update how it was next week when it cools down and I can drink it.

Location appears to be closed at the moment. Permanently or just for renovation? Uncertain.

I’ve been to this location a few times and I feel like it can be a hit or miss with the customer service. I’ve gone there and had fantastic customer service and other times lack luster customer service. It didn’t really matter what time during the day becsuse they have a mixture of service throughout the day. You can either have those that you know genunanly are good at what they do and care, or you can get those that you know just want to get out and go home. The store is kept organized and they always seem to have what I’m there to get. The parking is shared with other businesses and when it’s busy it’s better to just park further and walk. The baked goods have been great every time I’ve been there. The drinks have been made well and taste amazing. A good Starbucks to go to when you need to get in and out.

This is one of my favorite Starbucks in the east county. While it does not have a drive through it is a larger Starbucks with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Much of the staff has worked here for YEARS… and even though I only am in La Mesa a few times a year, a couple of them actually know me by name(impressive!) It is a pretty busy Starbucks in the mornings and the line can be long, and service a bit laggish at times. They always make my drink right.

I probably won’t come back to this Starbucks location but it’s not because of the service or drinks but mainly because of the area. The area is somewhere I can tell people mainly go for a fast pick me up or a quick bite to eat. It’s next to a noisy main street and located in an odd strip mall. A lot of homeless people hang around and was the only thing that really made me uncomfortable. Homeless people don’t bother me normally but the ones in this area does, and a lot of thugs were also near the area. Moving onto service. The two people who working here didn’t seem happy. They weren’t at all rude or disrespectful but for some reason it seemed like that had no energy, they were drained. The Starbucks wasn’t packed with customers so I’m not sure what was wrong. Only reason why I’m surprised is because both of them seemed that way. We get to the food. The nonfat Carmel macchiato was excellent and the bananas they had were huge and delicious. My friend got a pesto turkey sandwich which was pretty good seeing as they keep it in a bag and have it sit in the cooler. When you give it to them to purchase they place it in the oven to warm up. Would rather have a fresh made sandwich but regardless the one bite my friend let me try tasted pretty good. If I ever really need to come here for coffee I will but probably not again. The homeless people and zombie like personalities from the workers made me feel like I was in the beginning of a zombie movie.

I usually go to this Starbucks because I worked right next to it and most of the baristas are AWESOME like Ryan, Emily, and Minnie. But JENNIFER is the bitchiest barista I have ever met. I ordered an iced tea and I forgot to ask for three tall waters for my coworkers. When the iced tea was finished, I asked Jennifer for three waters. She gave me the most sarcastic remark. Her response was«LIKE, TWELVEWATERS?!» in the most disgusting way. What was her problem? The manager needs to give her customer service training. Or some chocolate. And some Midol. Mind you, this was at 5 in the afternoon on a Saturday. It was not busy and there was no line.

This is what a Starbucks should be: Swift, friendly service. Baristas behind the bar giggling and having a great time. A stocked container with fresh eats. A space full of customers — reading, writing, studying, meeting — with a few sets leftover still. A great outdoor seating space right in the shade. Fine job here!
