Thank you for giving me my birthday present a free cup of coffee then a few days later I go to use it and they took it away. Rather not get one at all then to have you take it back. Carrie that works there is one of the besti have seen working at a Starbucks!

So bummed. Worst vanilla latte I have ever had. Terrible double bacon cheddar sandwich as well. Sweet ladies working, 10 on customer service but everything I had was gross… So now I’m short 15 buck between everything we got between my husband and I. His coffee is awful as well.

What can you say about Starbucks? They’re all very similar and the baristas are well-trained to follow a script and focus on creating a good experience for the customer. …but there are some things that can make or break your experience. This Starbucks is always bustling when I come in whether it’s earlier in the morning or later in the evening. There is a pocket of time in the mid-morning or mid-afternoon where you will not have to wait in a line. I used to come in here and there last year and more recently spent several days at this location to cool off and get work done. Because this place has limited indoor seating(the outdoor seating is great and I love it, except for on days when it’s pouring rain or nearly 100 degrees!) and is not always the cleanest, I originally wanted to give it 3 stars. However, I had a great experience and thought I could bump it up a star. I’d give it a 4.5. One day, I had a lot of work to get done due to not having internet at home that week. I listened to the baristas and got a general idea of how they served their customers. They were so awesome. They were friendly, respectful, and helpful behind the counter. One of the baristas incorrectly made my drink the first time, but they gladly chucked it and made another. No complaints. The second time, my drink was not very hot likely because they added soy milk creamer which made it lukewarm. I asked if there was anyway they could heat it up. They said no and offered to steam ¼ cup of milk to make it warmer. I said, sure! There was no hint of anger or frustration. A for attitude! The team does a great job of working together. A happy team that works hard, makes for a happy customer. I hope you experience the same.

I happened in on this Starbucks on the first day they were showcasing their new chocolate chip and raspberry scone. The scone is mostly chocolate chip but with a modest layer of raspberry preserve inside. I ordered it with a grande Pike’s Peak with no room. The Pike’s was better than usual. I usually have a little trouble with bitterness with this brand, but this time it was alright, and smoother than usual with good flavor. I ate the scone at room temperature and was pretty good. The scone had a nice chocolate chip flavor that reminded me, well of a chocolate chip cookie. The vanilla icing on top was good and the density of the scone was on the easier side: meaning it was not as dense as most I have had. A good scone nevertheless. This Starbucks is a very busy one. They offer a decent size patio outside and average seating inside. I came in about mid morning and it was very busy, however I was impressed how quickly the staff kept things moving along.

I love this Starbucks! Very friendly staff. They always go out of their way for you! I also love that they are really fast with my drink and very efficient. I’m usually out within 5 minutes, and that’s with a line!

Hands down one of the best locations I’ve been to. Plenty of parking? Yes. Friendly baristas? Definitely. Lots of room to sit? Yep. They also made my obnoxiously particular order perfectly(venti iced coffee, unsweetened with 2 add-shots & a light splash of soy. *phew*) Will definitely be back any time I’m in the area.

Clean, nice area to come and sit, just crowded. I like the convenience of using the phone to pay and getting the points, good seeing point.

This is my neighborhood starbucks and i have always received great service. This morning stood out though. Im highly lactose intolerant and when i ordered my coffee the barista asked if i had a dairy allergy. She went out of her way to make sure my coffee was made in freshly sanitized containers that would have no trace of dairy in them. I appreciated her attention to detail coffee was perfect. Thanks Starbucks for being on your game today!

Great customer service, friendly baristas, and pleasant atmosphere! I usually order a venti grean tea frap or a caramel frap, and I always leave satisfied. The area is clean, the décor is nice, and there are spaces to sit both outside and inside. Yes, they do take credit cards. I intend to come here much more often :)

The baristas here are the most lovely folks, and they are one of the reasons why I’m a regular here. :)

This Starbucks is larger than most so has better planning of seating. A big plus when by yourself and trying to do work. Plus they got GREAT air conditioning. I only say that because on this particular day, my fellow San Diegan Unilocalers can sympathize — it ain’t always 72 degrees here. I feel moist(urgh).

Nice Starbucks with great atmosphere. Okay customer service from the staff except they always seem pissed off. They don’t write names like other Starbucks so its hard to know when you get your drink. the food and drinks are like any other Starbucks. Nothing Special.

This location is the best for customer service. The staff is friendly, caring, and remembers my name and my order. Once they slightly got my order wrong and immediately fixed it, apologized, and offered me a free extra espresso shot. Best service ever. Not good for studying.

A couple of the baristas there are really warm and friendly. They interact well with the customers and the regulars stop and have a short conversation with them. Great place to study, although sometimes hard to find a table. Fortunately, there are tables outside and even more tables closer to the fountain/theater. Haven’t ordered many complicated drinks there so I can’t say how well they make the drinks. The music is at a good level, but I get easily distracted with music, so I usually put on my earphones to muffle the sound. sometimes I don’t even play my own music. What trickery! After it being so hot lately, it’s nice to be inside an air conditioned room for a bit, but it does get pretty cold once your body’s been acclimated! I can only study there for a couple hours before my goosebumps force me to go home. Just remember to bring a light jacket. I’ve tried quite a few Starbucks locations in my time and I have to say this one ranks pretty high in terms of the friendly atmosphere and study areas.

Nicely remodeled, music is low, which I love, friendly staff. Line moves quickly if there is one.

I love how this Starbucks is close to home and to the theaters. I grew up in the Clairemont community and would just hang around at «the square.» I haven’t been to this locations in years! One morning, I decided to check it out since I was in the neighborhood. I love meeting new Starbucks employees, because they are so fun to talk to and they wake you up in the morning with their in enthusiasm and smiles. Corny as this sounds, but I’m a grump in the morning and I don’t want that same vibe from someone trying to wake me up. So it’s nice to have some interaction with someone you see in the morning. The location is clean, plenty of chairs, and customer service was spot on! I take this location for granted sometimes, I didn’t realize how open the area was, so it’s probably a great spot to study or get away from home to have a coffee or tea.

Went here because my friend lives across the street and she just so happened to mention this yummy drink flavor: salted caramel mocha which I got as an blended drink… Amazing! I also decided to order a salted caramel cake pop on the recommendation of one of the staff members there… so #delish! I’d definitely go back for the service, the sweets, and the Starbucks beverages!

Friendly service. Smaller store with big outside seating area shared with other restaurants next to the movie theatres. Not much indoor seating but it’s okay. Never had any problems here over the years. I was surprised they have breakfast sandwiches since they are a smaller store. 20-min parking right in front is helpful, but I go to the drive Thru location on Clairemont Dr. & Balboa more often.
