Sombrero Mexican Food

DISAPPOINTED with customer service! Not only Did it take 10 minutes to get my food. The PORTION of the food is not worth what I paid for! MAYRA in the Drive-​thru has horrible service. Next time I’ll go to the TACO SHOP across the street!

The food is great but disappointed that my birthday burrito coupon is not valid although I printed out my coupon she did not give me my burrito. The one in charge kept all my private information and my drivers license information so she can speak to her boss. Very hurt. The food didn’t even cheer me up.

Ordered a cali burrito and it was huge. Pretty good too! $ 6.99 for a cali burrito and extra cost for sour cream and guac. Totally worth it. Would come back for the cali burrito.

The food here honestly SUCKS! the portioning is so small for the price it’s ridiculous! If your honestly trying to get your money’s worth for such better quality food go to Taco fiesta they have way BIGGER portions for a decent price sombreros food is not tasty and it’s way over priced! Service here is honestly okay all the girls do there is talk about there personal life while your waiting in the drive thru I will definitely not be back.

The cheese enchiladas were quite cheesy and reheated well. The chili relleno was also full of cheese but a little bit on the stingy side. As mentioned, the FREE hot carrots were excellent. The cashier was super and friendly and gave me a senior discount although I didn’t know they had one. The downside is that this is on 2 very busy streets making leaving the parking lot quite difficult.

I keep forgetting to check in here! This taco shop is the «shiiit»” I have had everything on the menu and the chefs really do it up here. The bean and cheese are my favs! But the cali burrito, carne fries, and tacos are amaaaazing! I am a regular!!! Trust me when I say go here! I do not know about other locations but this one is the BEST!

Got pollo asado burrito to split with husband. It was ok. We also got a fish taco and calamari taco. Not good at all. Dry and just plain

skip it! go to the taco shop across the street next to Arby’s. I literally just left here 20 minutes ago. I ran into order a machaca breakfast burrito and a water. Over $ 9– what the heck!!! The meat from the burrito was super runny and watery. The whole burrito turned sloppy and messy within two minutes– yuck!!! I’m so disappointed. What a waste of money & time!!!

$ 3.83 for a carnitas taco that had a teaspoon of carnitas in it. No bueno.

the food here is pretty consistent, fresh, good sized portions. The restaurant is clean inside with a nice salsa bar. I’ve liked everything i’ve ordered, tacos, burritos, quesadillas. All good.

I come here about 1−2x a week because it’s right next door to the hospital I work at. They have a drive thru which is great and useful when I’m on dinner break and I need to get it on the go. They have a simple selection of Mexican food which is great because other taco shops feels like they have 100+ things on the menu. What’s great is that they have a «healthy options» menu with a variety of bowls and other healthier options which shows how many calories, proteins, fat, carbs, fiber, etc. Service is slow and the employees can be rude at times. 3 stars!

Good and fast customer service. Food there is really good, one of my favorite Mexican fast food chain restaurants if not the best. Kitchen looks very clean. Free parking lot. I love there Fajitas sandwich. There Fish taco is delicious too.

Drive Thru window is FAST that is tres important for me since I am a woman on the run.
Mackin’ carne Asada fries and salsas. I am part of the Sombrero club so after a few visits you get free stuff.
Try the California Burrito it never disappoints but it is a taco shop nothing more.

I can’t believe they get away with serving up small ass burritos for $ 7 …I can understand beef prices have went up and had this been a carne asada but this was chicken… really??? I’d’ve crazy to come to this joke of a taco shop.

Ok so this is a place I avoid… Solely because I could eat Mexican food every day (maybe even more than once!). I always get a cheese quesadilla with beans inside of it. Their «verde salsa» isn’t too spicy, and has a lot of garlic. I drizzle this all over that quesadilla and have a wonderful meal. Living in San Diego for a lot of my life, I am spoiled on Mexican food so I can’t really give sombreros more than three stars. Oh and also, their spicy carrots are some of the best I have ever had!!!

Really good fast food type Mexican food. When visiting the Kaiser facility in the area, this is one of my stops.

Nice little to-​go, drive-​through or eat in Mexican food joint. Clean and comfortable. Served in plastic, but the menudo is very good at a reasonable price. Like I said, there’s nothing really special about ambiance here, with the possible exception of the colorful chile table tops. Otherwise it’s the very authentic food that’s got four stars for me!

Parking here really isn’t that great. I try to avoid it when possible. However, the dining room is worth the hassle. Always clean and offers plenty of seating. They have a wide variety of drinks including ‘Bang!’ and various soft drink options.
There is a salsa bar with hot carrots, radishes, green, and red salsas. They have some of the best carne asada fries and nachos around. I am a huge fan of the carne asada dinner plate and beef tacos! It’s making me hungry again just writing this review about them.

Borderline pathetic. Bad service, which is to be expected at a taco shop. No biggie there. The quality of food is average at best, again that’s ok too. But, oh my god, I have never seen a smaller carne asada burrito in my life.
I have seen street tacos with more filling than this thing had. It was laughable really.

It’s so hard to resist not going here five times a week. Since I have lived in the area we have gone here it least 20 times over the last year. Customer service is always good and the food is always fantastic.
I try to eat other items off the menu but the Chicken Special Burrito is unbelievably delicious. I went to another Sombrero at a different location and it wasn’t as good as this location. Whatever they are doing here, please continue. I will warn you the drive thru is always packed.
Kudos to the management, please keep doing what you’re doing because this place is a top-​notch Mexican fast food restaurant.
