Nails For Her & Hair Salon

It’s VERY hard to find a manicurist who can get the «narrow square» (coffin) shape down. Lisa did an amazing job! I have always loved this place no matter who did my nails but I’m even more happy that I found Lisa! Can’t wait to keep on coming back to her for when I want to treat myself :)

So disappointed in my nails I showed them a picture of what I wanted (white nails with a bright gold tip) and I ended up with a manicure that looks like a five year old did it. There is still gel nail polish under my fingernails and on the tops on my fingers. I asked my manicurist to just paint over the cheap looking sparkly copper color she used with white because I hated the result of the «gold» tip she did so much. She told me she wouldn’t because she was done. ??? I’m so unhappy, and will not be returning to this place again. Such bad service.

don’t bother going without an appointment. salon was empty and they wouldn’t do a full set on me.

I’ve been coming here since I moved to North county nearly 3 years ago. I always enjoy my time in this salon. The ladies are really sweet and it’s very clean. I’ve never made an apt (walk in) and usually my wait isn’t longer than 20 min, however have been there on really busy days where the people in front of me waited for 45min. Beth has been doing my nails (gel) the last few times I’ve been in. She does a great job. Usually for pedicures I get the classic, but this time I decided to try the next step up. It was quite indulgent with sugar scrubs and an invigorating mask on my legs. Turns out I’m allergic to one of the sugars or lotions but that’s my fault for not asking as I have a known cocobutter allergy. Beth remembered I had surgery just before my last visit and on this visit she made sure to ask. That’s really sweet.

I came to get my pedicure and gel, they charged me $ 45.00 which is a ridiculous price (Kathy was the nail tech). It is my first time there and will be the last. They need to keep in mind, you over charge your first time customer, you will lose alot of business.
Customer service is very poor, Kathy is not a nice nail tech and over charged for the service.
DO NOT Come to this nail salon, the owner is such a rude person, if you complain about her service, she will private message you and arguing with such a poor customer service.
Please STOP making excuses for your poor and unprofessional service! i do not have time to attack your technician WHY would i do that? SUCH A POOR CUSTOMER Service

Nails For Her is by far the best nail place in the area. I have converted my friends and my Mom (who is VERY particular) to come here, because they do such a great job. This shop is one that I feel totally comfortable going without an appointment, since all the women do such a great job.
The owner Tina is a hair stylist as well, and there is a small salon and waxing area in the back — super convenient. The shop may be slightly more pricey than surrounding options, but I don’t worry about walking out with a toe infection! They are fastidious about cleaning and the shop sparkles.
Try them out!

I absolutely love this place!!! I’ve been coming here for a really long time with my mom! For the past 6 months I’ve been going to Kathy who is AMAZING. I only normally get acrylics and her designs are always perfect! She does pedis and manis too! If you are looking for a clean and nice salon to get your nails done at this is the place to come! Don’t forget to ask for Kathy you won’t regret it:)

Shellac natural nails!. I love this place. Always clean and friendly with amazing pricing! I came in here after work with a last minute appointment and Tina was able to accommodate me with a shellac manicure and pedicure. Thank you Nails for her!

My first visit here was nowhere close to 5 stars. My manicurist at the time did a really bad job with my gel manicure and she was really rough with my nails. So I thought about trying the place out again but with a different manicurist. So I did and I had Kathy. Kathy is such a sweet and chill person! Now I would definitely come back and will be back for Kathy. She is very easy to talk to and she did a great job with my gel manicure.

Beth did a wonderful job on my daughters nails. We usually drive all the way to Clairemont but this place is just as good

I came here today for the first time. Lynn did my nails even though I had an appointment with Paul. I came in about 45 minutes early, so I didnt mind getting started right away with someone else.
I like that she greeted me right away. We sat down and she got started. She kept bringing up a manicure when I already said a few times that I strictly wanted a gel color change.
It seemed like things were taking forever. It was definitely the longest color change I’ve ever had. I came in a little after 1230 and didn’t leave until about 145pm. I could credit this to her wanting to just do a nice job but Im not used to a gel color change taking this long and I was eager to get to Unilocal Fit.
Lynn was very nice though, and talkative. I woulds get my nails done by her again if I was in the area and had plenty of time.

This was a trusted nail salon before, but I would give it zero stars now, if possible. The latest visit my nail technician sliced my finger open from under the nail all the way to the corner and under the crease! She then tried to explain that my skin was too soft — funny, since I’ve been getting manis/​pedis for 15 years and, aside from occasional nicks, have never had my finger sliced open.
The rest of the service was terrible after because it was so painful, even when not being touched. I showed her the slice that ranged half a centimeter from one end of my pinky to under the corner and into the crease of the other end. The slice was also deep, not like the occasional paper-​cut nicks you might get from a salon, but bleeding actively!
Imagine my fury when at the end they still charged me full price for the mani/​pedi! I told them this is not the way to run a business and that, although the pedicure was fine, some compensation should be offered for slicing fingers open, at least half price for the mani if not complimentary! The lady shook her head and just said,“Sorry, $ 70.“
Don’t ever go here if those are the business ethics they keep, and please don’t bring your young daughters!

Happy with my nails. Beth did it perfectly! $ 30 for full set it’s worth it! 4 stars because they could not do the nails that I originally wanted so we went to my second option. Black french tip.

I’ve been here a few times before and have always been satisfied with the cleanliness and friendliness of all the people that work here.
Today Tina helped me with a wash and style. I came in the morning to see if there was anything available at the time or sometime during the day. Tina said she didn’t have anything available until 1 so that’s when I returned. She did a great job on my hair and was really friendly throughout the whole experience.

Couldn’t be happier with my nails. Z did a fantastic job! I asked for a gel manicure, French with black glitter tips and this is exactly what I got. $ 30 and less then an hour. I will be back!

Beth is WONDERFUL! She is very meticulous and takes pride in her work. She spent a little longer than technicians usually take but she made sure each nail was perfectly filed and cleaned.
I got a shellac and she soaked my nails in acetone, which apparently makes the polish hold. This has never been done for me before but my nails still look great two weeks later, chip and crack free! She even went back and repainted a whole nail after it was dry to get rid of a scratch.
I am a little bummed that they raised their prices to $ 30 for a shellac without saying anything :(

Okay I’m so upset. My husband had to calm me down. So this is going to be long!
This morning I called and spoke with Tina to see if Jenny (my preferred nail amazing lady) was available to do a gel manicure. She said yes what time could I get here I told her I can be there In 1 minute. (I was so excited!)
I get in and they asked if I was the one that called and I said yes a gel ymanicure with Jenny. Some other lady (she seemed very nice) sat me down at Jenny’s table and started to get set up and started soaking my nails. Now mind you before I even sit down with this lady I ask «this is going to be with jenny right?» The lady says yes.
As time goes in Jenny sees me and walks to her table and asks what color I’m getting with a smile. I tell her I’m not sure. Then I ask her «your doing my nails right?» She says Noo :(I’m like wait I asked for you she said she has an appointment. At this point I’m getting really nervous because I don’t really trust too many people with my nails hence the reason why I ask for Jenny.
After everything is said and done I say okay let’s see. After she is done with my nails I look at them and let’s just say they are horribly! I really have a hard time giving this place a bad review but my nails and cuticles look horrible. They look really dry and sloppy. Even after I mentioned a piece of my sparkly nail was sloppy. I mentioned it to them so she can file the excess gel and she didn’t even or chose not to notice how horrible it looked. I don’t even know if I should go back to get it fixed because now my nails are so thin. I don’t want them to become worse. :-(
