First off this was my first time at a hair salon, let me tell you it was an eye opening experience. I called in and got an appointment a few a hours later. I was going in to get my hair dyed for the first time, going from a brown to a platinum blond. Upon arrival I was immediately greeted and offered water. I showed up about 20 min early and started the process 5 min after i showed up. Marciel Murphy took care of me and did an all around excellent job. She understood what i wanted done and did great completing it. She also has a friendly personality and an overall cool style. Will definitely be back. Thank You!!!

So my boyfriend got his hair dyed from brown to platinum blonde (a color not easily achieved) and Maricel did an awesome job. She was also super cool and made the long dyeing process much more enjoyable. Can easily speak for both me and my boyfriend that we will be back here for future hair needs!

Rebecca is the bomb.
I think she’s the only stylist in SD that I trust with my hair! I used to have very, very long hair, but sometime after my sister’s wedding last August, I thought it would be nice to chop everything off. Rebecca asked for what I wanted and listened to everything I said (the key one being «please don’t touch my bangs»). In the end, she recommended that I get a nice long bob — nothing too short, but also nothing too long.
It was perfect! Not only did it make me look more mature (which I struggle with because, yanno, baby face), but it was everything I had been looking for. I’ve kept my hair that length since then, but I know that if I ever want to change my hair up, Rebecca will know exactly what compliments and flatters my face the most.

Amazing salon! Very sweet girls that work there. They really pay attention to detail and take care of you! My favorite girls are Rebecca and Tish! Go to them always to get my haircut! Very clean and kept top notch! Would definitely recommend going!

Nicole at East of Eden has done my hair, my sister’s hair, and my mom’s hair for years. She has worked my hair from dark brown/​red back to nearly it’s natural blonde shade over the past year and is absolutely amazing at natural highlights and cutting your hair to suit your face perfectly. It’s hurts to put even one star. I walked in the salon, both hair dressers looked at me, turned around to their clients and continue to do what ever what they were doing … No Hi or «how can we help you»? So I spend about 10 min In Front of empty reception desk n left … Wow!

Tish is very talented and has been doing my hair for years! She always does an amazing job coloring my platinum blonde hair. I don’t let anyone else touch my hair but her!

Rebecca Gurule is AH-​MAY-​ZING!!! She is so wonderful. I went in a few days ago wanting to chop my hair from long to shoulder length, do a root touch up and baylage. I was nervous. But Becca listened and made awesome recommendations. The color turned out perfect!!! PERFECT! And the cut was exactly what I wanted. I couldn’t be happier. I also went to Becca once before for a cut and baylage and again it was perfect! I trust her with my hair and would recommend her 150% to any of my family or friends.

I highly recommend Nicole Mason, stylist at East of Eden Salon. I have been to see her 3 times now and she always does an excellent job. She listens to my concerns, gives me practical advice and always with a smile. It is obvious she loves what she does. I have curly hair and I’m just not used to giving it any attention but as I age it is getting more and more frizzy. She gave me an excellent cut the first time which made such a difference! I was amazed! Now she has been coaching me on better styling and product choices, something my previous hairdresser never did. I am so delighted to find her. But let me warn you, her expertise is not a secret, I recommend calling 2 – 3 weeks before you want an appointment.

Becca is a keeper! She does great coloring and cuts and LISTENS. I highly recommend her. I tried FIVE salons before I found her and she was worth the wait!

So great, loved the service. Rebecca was really sweet and conscious of how it feels to get your hair cut when it’s so long and you only want a certain amount off. She did a fantastic job.

I’ve been to see April twice now for what I consider an edgier type of cut and color. She took a few photos and threw together a great cut with all the elements I wanted.
Best part of the style is the color, I’ve never had anyone do such a great job with color like April does. She spends time to be sure that my color is integrated well and looks good as it starts to «grow out». Would absolutely recommend someone with fine hair and an alternative look to see April at. With summer approaching I was looking for a stylist to help me get the mermaid hair I always dreamed of, and April Dawn did just that! We had a consultation to discuss using Hot Head Hair Extensions to give me the length I wanted. I couldn’t believe the quality of the hair and highly recommend this brand. My hair is multi-​dimensional blonde shades and I was a bit worried at first at the extensions blending in and matching perfectly. April picked the perfect shades however and put my fears at ease. She touched up my current highlights before applying the extensions and the color turned out great. The process was only 45 minutes to put in the extensions and April explained in great detail how to take care of them to maximize how long they would last (we will reapply them a total of three times and each time they last about 10 weeks).
I am so excited about my new hair and couldn’t have asked for a better stylist to work with! My hair was shoulder length and now it is past my mid-​back area. I have already received so many compliments– my hair looks gorgeous and just in time for summer. April also gave me great styling tips for my new long hair since I am not the best at styling.
