I ordered the club sandwich. The meat was good, the bacon was crispy, the veggies were fresh and the bread tasted good. I wish it would have been toasted just a little more. The potato salad I ordered as my side was not worth it-too mustardy and not enough other flavors. The rest of the menu looked good so maybe I’ll try something else next time.

My boyfriend got a deal through his work for $ 50 worth of food from Motor City Deli for significantly less. We weren’t sure how the two of us could possibly order enough food to add up to $ 50 but we decided that we were up for leftovers. We ordered a vegetarian Chicago deep dish, a pesto New York pizza and two calzones: a chicken pesto for me and vegetarian for him. We also ordered a garlic cheese bread, which I was very excited to try, but they forgot to make with our to-go order. Calzones: The calzones were huge. I cut my calzone into three pieces and was stuffed each time. Granted, I’m a light eater but I think that even a heavier eater could make it into two meals. I don’t even want to know how many calories are in a calzone! There was a lot of mozzarella and I really enjoyed the first few bites but then the heaviness of the meal began to set in. I’d recommend sharing this with a friend and maybe ordering a salad or something lighter to split too. Pesto Pizza: This was just okay to me. Maybe I’m not a big fan of New York pizza but it was just so thin and flimsy. I would have preferred the chicken variety for some substance and maybe some tomatoes but since my boyfriend is a vegetarian, we went meatless. Vegetarian Deep Dish: I didn’t try this pizza but my boyfriend seemed to enjoy it quite a bit. He even said he thought it was better than the deep dish that we had at Regents Pizzeria in La Jolla, which surprised me because I thought that deep dish was amazing. I see that Motor City has quite the extensive menu aside from pizza and calzones so I wouldn’t be opposed to trying something else in the future but I, personally, have had better pizzas.

I’m wary of places that offer a oddball variety of food. Asian/Cajun fusion with a touch of Italian never really hits the mark. That being said, Motor City Deli nailed it. Granted, they don’t do Asian/Cajun fusion, but they do offer traditional deli sandwiches, Middle Eastern favs, pizza and some BBQ dishes. We found them on either Groupon or and decided to hit them up one day after work. The Hubs had a Gyro Plate and I had a Reuben. The Hubs said that his gyros were awesome! They gave us a large plate full of gyro meat, veggies, pita, hummus and rice. It was more than enough for The Hubs(who isn’t a dainty eater) and our girls. My Reuben was really good… full of good pastrami, kraut, cheese and sauce. My only beef(ha. ha… get it? Beef?) with the sandwich was that the bread wasn’t as toasted as I like, but that’s just a personal preference. Next time, I’ll ask them to toast it a little more. The guy behind the counter was really nice and we received our food promptly. We’ll definitely be back. I can’t wait to try the pizza!

I barely have any complaints but this place has taken the cake on that. I ordered 3 sandwiches(comes with sides which were all wrong) and a side of fries for delivery(which ended up being bland and soggy). It took over 80 minutes to get the food. Most of the items were wrong. There’s no point in customizing your order(changing the breads as they have option to online through ) as that was ignored on one of the sandwhiches. The tri tip sandwich was supposed to come with horse raddish and au jus sauce which didn’t make it to us either.

I placed the order online around 11:00 and scheduled the delivery for 12:00. When I looked at the confirmation I realized I accidently selected the order for pick-up. I immediately called the deli, gave them my order number, and they assured me that they had my order as delivery. At 12:25 I still had no food so I called the deli again and they told me the driver wasn’t back from a previous delivery, but my food was ready and it would be out to me shortly. At 1:00 the deli driver called me and said that my order was for pick-up and that is why he didn’t deliver it, but he will bring over my order now. The food was finally delivered at 1:17 barely warm, with soggy bread and they didn’t bring my side of potato salad. I thought I had found a new place close to my work that delivered, but I will not be ordering from them again.

I was excited to try this place because I saw that they had Kabob’s. I got there and I had no idea where to order. There were two groups of people on opposite sides and I also was a little over whelmed with the menu because they have a lot of things. I finally decided on chicken shawarma because their chicken kabob’s are made from ground chicken. As I was waiting for the employee to finish up with one of the groups, I over heard one of the customers order chicken shawarma and the employee said it was going to take 20 min. I waited for 10 min and I still wasn’t being helped or acknowledge, so I left. I ended up going to the place next door. Way better choice and even as busy as they were I was helped quickly.

Office is in the area, so I decided to give this place a shot… BADDECISION!!! Phoned in my order and was told to give them 15 minutes as they were really busy. Arrived there 20 minutes later. Half the tables were empty and they hadn’t even started on my sandwich. Waited another 10 minutes for the sandwich to be made. Tri-tip panini — Terrible. Tough and fatty meat topped with provolone on soggy sour dough. To say the side of potato salad was bland, would be too nice. Took one bite of potato salad, ate half the sandwich and tossed the rest. Never again!

Great pizza! They sale by the slice and even cook it when ordered!!!, wich makes the pizza fresh! Not like other places that have the pizza already cooked, they also have a broad menu to chose from.

I’ve ordered here three times and the first time I was pretty satisfied. I have the Turkey Bacon and Avocado sandwich, which was good. The second time, the sandwich was all fallen apart and messy, the fries were super soggy. This last time, I was very upset. It took two hours to get my food and when it did come — it was missing the extra topping I had paid extra for and there was a hair on it. They offered me 50% off for the next time but I don’t even think that is enough to fix it. I pretty much got my lunch an hour before I get off wok(after 3pm).

One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had for a good price and good service. I would highly recommend.

Ordered here twice. Rather, I’ve attempted to order from here twice. The first time, the food was good enough although it took over an hour for my sandwich and salad to be delivered… less than 2 miles away… on a Sunday afternoon. Today was the second time. I attempted to place a phone delivery and was hung up on. The worker told me she was busy and asked what I wanted to order. Based on what I was ordering(too much food? not enough? she didnt specify), she told me that she would not be delivering my order(even though it exceeded their minimum delivery requirements), and rudely hung up on me. Sima’s Grill and Wich Addiction are better options with exponentially better customer service.

Nope. Not good enough. Didn’t like the bbq chicken pizza I ordered. Chicken wings? Not bad. Only because I loved the hot sauce. And it was really really hot. We took a coupon with us so got the chicken wings for free :) Order served on time. Guy behind counter was very welcoming. Might try Mediterranean food next time or those sandwiches, but pizzas is a defiant no no.

Must go immediately! The food is so delicious. They started making pizza and I think it’s the best combination! The sandwiches are fresh and it has an amazing taste to it. The pizza is awesome, I’m not a big fan of pizza but these people know how to make pizza! I highly recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. The staff is so friendly and the food is amazing. Coming back for sure! Thanks guys!

So today was my first time going here. Im sort of a sandwich connoisseur and the sandwich was pleasant to the taste yes, but halfway through I opened it up to rearrange some items and found a dead bug inside. I was thoroughly disgusted. I called and was offered a free sandwich. But were there other bugs in the oath half I’d already eaten? Ugh, I don’t like gross surprises. Not sure if I would recommend this place.

I came yesterday for the first time around 10. They just opened. I asked the girl for a couple slices of pizza. She said it’d be 5 – 6 minute wait. I said no problem since I have an hour break. I get my food 20 minutes later. Not cool –_– She could’ve told me it would take a little longer or updated me while I was waiting. The guy who ran me up didn’t even apologize for the long wait. $ 4.99 plus tax for 2 slices. Cheap but so not worth it. Pizza wasn’t good but I still ate most of it since I was hungry. Nasty store bought dough. Fake tasting cheese. I wanted to like this place since it’s by my work but I’m gonna skip this from now on. Oh & I saw the girl refilling the pepperchinis a with her bare hands. Gross. Total fail.

The sandwiches are ridiculously delicious. The half and have special with tri tip and pastrami is amazing. I add sauerkraut, mushrooms, onions and provolone. They also have an amazing Reuben and Beef Brisket sandwich. Everything is fresh and yummy.

I love their tuna salad sandwiches! I also love that I can choose if I want thick or thin bread because, if you’ve read my other reviews you already know, I’m not a fan of bread. I can’t stand thick slices of bread that take up more room in my mouth than the good stuff that’s inside that bread. My sandwich here is the tuna on the thin marbled rye, with a side of potato salad. It’s less than $ 7 for all that and I’m full for hours. I never have to wait and service is always friendly. I’m not a big BBQ person, especially not for lunch, but I fully plan to bring my husband back here for dinner so we can try their infamous BBQ. In the meantime, don’t get between me and my tuna salad sandwich on marbled rye! Update: I don’t think I’ll come here anymore. I came in today and stood at the counter waiting for someone — anyone — to acknowledge me but there were no employees to be found. There were other customers inside, but no one to help me. I stood there for five minutes before giving up and leaving. I understand needing to leave the front unmanned, but at least put a bell or something. I have limited time for lunch so that really set me back. I can’t risk that happening again so I doubt I’ll come back. Oh well.

Thank you, thank you and thank you, Motor City. East coast deli style right here on Miramar Rd. Made me feel like I was back in a Boston deli. Best sandwich I had in probably 10 years +. Boars Head on the window — check, pastrami — check, corned beef — check, tri tip — check. Everything you need. Got the corned beef sandwich on rye. These guys are professionals and know how to do it right. Perfect balance, ratio and presentation. They put the love in care in to these sandwiches. They have the usual sides but they got mashed potatoes and gravy too that’s tastes just like Mom’s cooking. Respectable beer selection as well. Specials looked very tempting, but if a deli has corned beef, that’s what I test them on first. This place is a winner. All they need is a large sliced kosher pickle on the side and this place is bullet proof. Can’t recommend enough. Major score.

Found a new lunch spot close to work! I was just talking to the bff about hoping to find some hidden gems nearby, but thanks to Unilocal it wasn’t too hard. I guess we looked lost when we looked at the menu b/c the owner could tell it was our first time. He then proceeded to give us samples of EVERY single meat they had: tri-tip, brisket, pulled pork, panini chicken, pastrami, etc. We ended up deciding on the brisket on a french roll and pastrami on rye. The pastrami was even better with mustard, grilled veggies, and swiss on it :) The dining area is pretty unique with a lot of antiques and definitely pays a tribute to veterans + military. We will be back!
