Menu prices do not reflect actual price. The prices are actually $ 1+ higher than what is listed on the menu. The prices seem to go up quite frequently. I am not sure if it is the manager, but the guy on the phone acted like $ 1+ extra that I was unaware of, was no big deal. He got an attitude about me not wanting the order for several extra dollars. I was ordering with other people so they just paid for it, but I will not be ordering from them again. Several people in my office are unhappy with all of the price changes and especially the fact that when you call in an order, they do not tell you the prices have went up at least $ 1 on all menu items. We are apparently just supposed to know that because they informed ONE person in an office of over 200 people. Horrible customer service and false advertisement of pricing. They used to be much better a few years ago, but it seems there may have been a change in staff or management… For the worse. I will be sure to spread the word.

I don’t normally write the reviews on Unilocal, but man this café is THE place for Gyro burger. I love it so much. Carne asada burrito is also definitely my favorite dish here. I love how their tortilla is very soft and smooth. Never get disappointed of the food from here…

On travel for work and joined coworkers for lunch near the test facility. Excellent food and very attentive service. I will definitely be back!

I love this place. One of the best breakfast’s in Mira Mesa. Good service, good food and reasonably priced.

Excellent food and excellent service. We stopped in for a late lunch with my 2 grandchildren who are both fussy eaters. I was pleased they found kid friendly food. The waitress brought us some of the lamb they put in their gyros so the kids could taste it and it was so tender, I ordered one for myself despite the fact that I eat meat only once or twice a year. The tables had white tablecloths — unfortunate for them since my grandson can make a mess eating anything — but I certainly appreciated the upscale look and feel.

Good food, quick service, reasonably priced. It wasn’t very busy when we went in which concerned me initially but it was very good I will visit again.

A good place for breakfast. I was here eating with my family(6 of us) for breakfast last Sunday. Everyone had a great meal at a great price. Most breakfast entrees were $ 9 to $ 10 and the portions were hearty. Good, hearty diner food! Well, most of it. My son had the bacon Belgian Waffle and it looked(and tasted) really good. I was envious! I had the sausage, eggs, hash browns, and biscuits and gravy. Whenever I try a new breakfast place I like to judge them based upon their biscuits and gravy dish as it is a time intensive dish and it says a lot about what the cooks are actually doing in the kitchen. The sausage was good but not fresh or hand made(perfect circles, not ameba shaped). The eggs were cooked perfectly and tasted great. I asked for well done crispy hash browns and I got lightly cooked hash browns. In fact, as I looked around the table, mine were the most under cooked of everybody’s. The biggest(and only true) disappointment was the biscuits and gravy. The gravy was bland tasting with no sausage chunks and no real peppery flavor. The gravy tasted like it came out of a can and was not made fresh(same as the sausage). The biscuit was good but over cooked as the bottom of the biscuit was rock hard. So Miramar Café is getting 4⁄5 stars for screwing up on the biscuits and gravy. It was a good breakfast but just avoid the biscuits and gravy. Go for the bacon Belgian waffle!

meh. Ive eaten here twice. First time I went with my husband and we had kabobs. It was overpriced and not that good. Plus the service was mediocre. And our food was wrong. We were ignored most of the meal. No refills, no checking on us. We had to flag them down to get our check. We werent going to come back. But the other day I was alone and starving, driving by there and looking on Unilocal for a breakfast place. Found it and figured id try it again. Maybe their breakfast is better than the kabobs? Meh. I had the ribeye and eggs. It was edible, but nothing amazing. And I left with an upset stomach. But the service was pretty good. Still, I think I wont be back.

Let me just start by saying, I judge all places by their ability to execute Eggs Benedict. Minus stars because the egg was very over-poached. It was completely solid and didn’t squish at all when I cut it. Sadness. They also say they deliver, but after I called, we found out they don’t deliver on Sunday. That sucks too. That being said, Hubs liked his breakfast burrito, but boy it did NOT travel well. It looked like a crime scene by the time it got home, but was still tasty. Undecided if I’ll go back.

Miramar café has the really good food, reasonable pricing, the staff are so helpful. Now their kitchen has some one special in there who makes a lot of their sauces which explains why their food has such great taste. We love the beans here too. You much try a side!

Miramar Café has always had a soft spot in my heart; I would order delivery from them way too much when I used to work in the nearby office parks and their food would always be piping hot or incredibly cool – however they were supposed to be. I don’t venture for non-meat items too often and I don’t eat bean and cheese burritos if I have to pay for it, but Miramar Café’s bean and cheese burritos are smothered in enchilada sauce, and are hands down amazing. I just moved to UTC and they didn’t even bat an eye to delivering my old standby of their side of fresh fruit(fits a large salad container) and the burrito for one. The man I talked to, whom I can only imagine is the manager I’ve seen the handful of times I’ve sat down for brunch, was very accommodating and chatted with me like we’d known each other for forever. Service was prompt, and he was very profresh. 5⁄5 I’d order from them again, and it felt good to feel welcomed back into the neighborhood.

My husband and I went to brunch here last Saturday. It was about 11am. He suggested it because he gets lunch to go during the week and said the food is good. «Okay!!! Let’s go!!!» We sat there for a good 15 minutes. Servers passed us, we smiled at the manager who was standing around.. nothing. No «be with you in a second»… nothing. So, we walked out… Bummer.

Everything on the menu is excellent. Delivery is fairly quick too. Definitely an early birds’ go to restaurant.

This is such a great place for breakfast/brunch. It can be easy to overlook the location, as it’s lost among all the industrial buildings on Miramar, but this slightly-hidden gem is definitely worth checking out. The menu has a lot of breakfast/lunch staples, like egg dishes, bacon, sandwiches and fries, but it has both Greek and Mexican twists to some entrees. For example, you can order a gyros omelette. I’m a huge fan of the chicken souvlaki, which can come with a choice of sides. Chicken souvlaki + potatoes + eggs.yum. Also worth mentioning: my boyfriend, a huge bacon-lover, claims that Miramar Café has the best bacon he’s ever had at a restaurant. So there’s that. One of the ways in which I measure how much I like a place is how they handle large groups. I’ve been here with just one other person before, but on New Year’s Day about a dozen of us shuffled over here, thankful that it was open, and we had a fine time. Service was very good and we did have the option of separate checks from the onset. The out-of-towners really enjoyed the quirks of the menu items, and the local newbies were excited to find a solid new breakfast joint. I always look forward to going to Miramar Café!

I went here for breakfast while visiting my family. Portions are huge. I got the California omelet, i can never say no to avocado. My omelet was very good, ingredients were well proportioned. My brother got the club sandwich, cut into quarters. I tried a bite of the club sandwich and it was pretty good. I will need to order the club sandwich next time since I basically at a quarter of my brother’s sandwich lol. I would recommend this place for sure.

FOOD: Ordered a corned beef hash. Good size serving for a starving girl. Came with the corned beef hash, hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, and a biscuit with honey/butter. Came in on a Saturday around 10:30am and the place was somewhat busy. At least there was no wait! PARKING: Plenty of parking and located in a shopping plaza. Maneuvering through is tricky and compact tho, so try parking on the side across from the drive thru in the front. SERVICE: The waitresses and hostesses are really welcoming and nice. Took a while for us to get our checks, but I think it’s because it’s the type of place where you go to the register and pay when you’re done.

We came here for a dinner event. The restaurant is old school — as in old school diner. Don’t expect any thrills or frills. I selected the ribeye(med rare) as my choice. Ok, I don’t know why I was expecting a thick steak. Perhaps, I’m used to them being that way. When it came out, it totally looked like a flat iron steak. What was even more disappointing was that the meat was overdone. BOO! I didn’t want to send it back or complain about it since it took long to even get the dish in the first place. Barely ate my steak. At least my veggies were crunchy… Large parking lot that shares with neighboring businesses. The café is hidden behind a MXN restaurant, but there is a sign on Miramar Road(across from the base). Note: Ask how they prepare the meat and use your judgment as to how you would like your meat prepared.

A hidden breakfast & café gem! Definitely an IHOP breakfast alternative without the long waits. Nicer and cleaner than a typical greasy spoon with reasonable prices. Great variety of breakfast/lunch/Mexican/Greek favorites on the menu. Wait staff is very friendly, attentive, efficient and helpful. Portions are larger than the chains. Coffee is always kept full. Be sure to view the specials when you enter. Parking can be tight when busy. These guys don’t stay open long, they close around 3−4pm. I’ll be coming back, oh yes.
