one star is way to much for this place. when first walking into this filthy establishment. we were greeted by an employee who didn’t say hello or asked how were doing but instead said«are you staying or going”(very rudely). Felix his name was, and being very rude was the name of his game he continued to over charge us for free upgrades like extra Caramel for our sundays, continuing his horrible and disrespectful attitude toward us for no reason. this guy needs a serious reality check, because he thinks he’s running the White House. also there were two homeless people in the seating area who had a Bong on the table and having a nerf gun fight in the middle of the store and were not told to stop at any time. this guy need to get fires ASAP or i will never be going there again

This drive through sucks! I’m sitting here waiting in it right now. There is seriously one car ahead of me and I’ve been waiting almost 10 minutes! All I ordered was a coffee. They should tell this person to pull around, but they don’t. I should complain online, but they would just give me coupons and I never want to come back here.

This McDonald’s isn’t exactly the cleanest. It often fails when it comes to consistency. A couple weeks ago, I went in the morning and the door was propped wide open with a chair. Flies were swarming the inside of the restaurant. I’m not sure why they chose to keep the door open and it seemed like a few workers were confused themselves. Yesterday, I stopped in for breakfast again and noticed that there was a strange noise that kept repeating in the background. The BF and I ate breakfast for about twenty minutes and the entire a time, we kept hearing the sound! It was so bizarre. The food itself is like your typical McDonald’s. Not healthy for you, but a guilty pleasure you can’t seem to escape. I think it’s so strange though that it costs the same amount for one sausage mcmuffin as it does for two. The BF tried to order the meal with one sausage mcmuffin and they actually made him order the one with two. We tried to find someone who would want the second one to no avail. Overall, it’s a McDonald’s. You get what you get. Last warning… getting in and out of this location can be tough, especially if you want to go south. When you’re coming out, the easiest thing to do is head towards the 5 north on ramp, make a right turn as if you’re going to in n out, flip around in their parking lot and then head back out. There’s a light that’ll make transitioning back south a lot easier!

I use to come here everyday, but this location is the the worse and I have stopped coming to this location. 1) they are understaffed and so service can be slow. Once I waited for 15min just a large ice tea. At nights sometimes you’ll see one person taking orders for drive through and counter. They just can’t keep up. 2) Tables and floors are frequently dirty and greasy 3) They had a self serve ice tea machine, but the it broke and it never got replaced. It has been 1.5 years since it broke. I asked their manager about this and he lied to me telling me it was going to be replaced soon. 4) It’s summer 2015 and stopped AC in the dinner area. Sometimes flies swarm the dinner when they prop the door open for outside ventalation. I see they get their quarterly quality audits. During these days everything is top notch, then after the review it is back to the same. Idiotic system Someone please report my review to management. I have voted with my feet and now eat almost everyday at the Del Mar location, which is far superior. In my opinion this location is by far the worse one in SD, and I’ve been to well over a dozen in SD.

And another. Yes, another McDonalds. There are so any, but this is a one-of-kind fast-food/restaurant that is unique in its own snazzy way. Spice is the variety of life. If you’re around, go ahead and try the number one combination plate.

I purchase food for my employees quite regularly. McDonald’s Family Deal is always a very economical choice. My total disappointment started on a Monday. I went in to order two family meal deals and was told«I do not think we do that anymore» I said well I am still seeing the ads on TV ?? She asked her manager and was told that they do still offer the deal. Wednesday comes and I am told sorry we do not do that anymore. I said can I speak with a manager, she says I am a manager. How did I order it on Monday and now you say you do not sell them. Not being a very patient person, I walked out so as not to loose my temper with the so-called Manager . I drive half a mile down the street to another McDonald’s order the same two Family Meal Deals and have absolutely no issues. So I ask” Why would the other restaurant claim to not sell the meal deal anymore” She told me she did not have a reasonable explanation. Not a very Happy McDonald’s customer. For a Franchise as big as them to have such a disparity of offerings and lack of customer service, this can only show something is wrong at this location. Thumbs down for Mission Bay Dr. McD’s

Tied for my least favorite McDonalds with the PB location. Sadly these are the only two options near my house. They are rarely accommodating to slight menu changes and consistently short orders(although the latter has improved in the past year). I avoid this location by going to jack in the box or 7 – 11 in PB now(if I have time), but still come here 1 – 2 per month if lines are too long elsewhere. I try to avoid the 200 calorie sausage patties by swapping bacon on the bfast sandwiches, but there are few options. I order the .99c sag breakfast sandwich and ask to sub bacon, always mentioning I am happy to pay extra for bacon. 25% of the time they oblige, 50% of the time they refuse and 25% of the time they charge me for a dif breakfast sandwich all together, often times at triple the charge to sub a meat with VERY similar gross profit margins. Really?! Today exactly that happened and I figured it was time to review. Why is it an issue to sub bacon in for ssg on a $ 1 breakfast sandwich when a customer is willing to pay a small fee for the change? Today instead of subbing the bacon he charged me $ 3.89 for the ssg mcmuffin and just took off the egg and ssg to add the bacon. Price difference, $ 2.89 for 1 – 2 pieces of «bacon» subbed for ssg. Silly McDonalds.

Floors are filthy, restrooms are even worse and it took 15 min to make my Big Mac. They have two kids working the late shift and they were obviously overwhelmed. Get them some help and clean this place up

This place is really slow and over populated with white panhandlers. Feel very uncomfortable and at any given moment they are going to ask you for either money or your food. Tweeters every where.

Dismal. The large manager-ish woman bellowing from the front counter was quite an unpleasant experience in the morning, as were the dirty dining area and grimy soda fountains which belied the mop and bucket matron sloshing her way around. The place was empty and it was easy to understand why. If you ever fantasized about a McDonald’s run like a girls’ prison, this is it. Otherwise go to the McDonald’s on Garnet if you have the time, it will be worth it.

I can rely on fries from McD’s. But these were soggy and limp. It also took a long time to do drive-thru. Go to another location!

When you spend an entire afternoon drinking Miller High Life at your favorite local bar while watching football you enter into stimulating conversation. The topic of the day: Nugget wars. Yeah, I’ve been watching the big dogs go to war lately in the form of the nugget and here are my findings with Ronald’s world. I remember the days of a six piece nugget(not even with a combo meal) running you $ 4.50 to $ 5.00 a pop! Craving an occasional mass produced nugget I paid this price from time to time. News flash! The battle is on and the prices have plummeted… I’m there! McDonalds = $ 4.99 for a 20 piece, $ 8.99 for a 40 piece. Whhhhhhat?! So, I «indulged» and forked over the $ 4.99 for the nuggets and an additional $ 1.00 for the new grilled onion burger. The nuggets were as terrible as ever and the burger was as bad as you would expect. Long live the golden arches.

every Mickey D’s is basically the same… this one is an easy stop on the way onto the freeway. Drivethru is fast and friendly. I don’t recommend eating in the dining room unless you especially like the smell of homeless people who are talking to the empty chair in front of them. It is quite entertaining, but not a sight I enjoy explaining to my children. Of course I have told them that if they don’t read every night and do well in school, that their brains will go crazy and they will be just like these freaky people in mcdonalds! so far it is working to my advantage. seriously…i do like this mcdonalds… but a couple blocks further there is an in-n-out…your choice(i usually stop for happy meals here then go get some animal style burgers and in –n-out for myself)

This is not a review necessarily about the food, because it’s your typical McDonald’s and you basically know what to expect food wise. It’s okay in a pinch. I do like that they’ve added the fancy coffee drinks, parfaits, sundaes and healthier choices, but I wanted to comment about the service. The staff here were very nice and friendly and when I asked about picking up a couple of the toys for a friend of mine that collects them. They gave me two of them for $ 1.00! I think that they usually charge $ 1 to $ 2 a piece for the toys if you don’t buy a Happy Meal. I was only going to get the one, but she said she would sell them both to me for $ 1.00. Makes me want to come back here again! Good job. Not a very big store, but great service.

I actually liked the service here. I went through the drive thru and ordered a milkshake and mcflurry and decided to order a small fry last minute and the girl was actually really cool about it. Usually they roll their eyes about pushing a few more buttons. I would rather go to this McDonald’s over the one on Garnet.

Halle-fucking-llujah! California McDonalds FINALLY caught on to the sweet tea trend. Does anyone here realize there has been the $ 1 sweet teas at every other McDonalds in the country for YEARS? I was thrilled as crap to pop through the drive thru yesterday and see the big SWEETTEAHERE sign. So thrilled we went back again today. Sadly we chose to get a teency lunch which was brought to a quick demise by the lackluster french fries. The first orders we got were cold and the next was hot but soggy and slightly undercooked. But regardless… California, you are making great progress…
