Iron Fist Brewing

Iron fist is my new favorite bar/​brewery. Great atmosphere, great service and great owner. I feel like I’m drinking at home with a bunch of friends. Strongly recommend and I only go on Unilocal if they deserve the praise or negativity, see my posts. Macarena is the best!

Great addition to the newly gentrified area near Chicano park. Parking is super easy and these beers are heavy and delicious, just as I like em. Prices are standard brewery and they tend to have more porters than other breweries in San Diego. I’ve only been here in the evening during the winter (winter…ha!) but I could see this place would be really fun when it warms up and they open the large garage door/​wall.

Went here on a whim recently. I’ve tried the location in Vista and I wasn’t impressed. Their beers were overly sweet and syrup-​py like. But wanted to give their San Diego spot a try. It’s a lot better and of course I stayed away from the ones I’ve already tried.
I would tell you the beers I had to be helpful but I can’t so I am sorry for that. I tried at least 6. Two of them I do remember is that one had lime and the other tasted like crème brûlée. They were good.
Real friendly staff here too.

New brewery in Barrio Logan, 1^st visit. Large selection of beers, with names playing off the resistance theme. They let you try before buying, which is always appreciated because who wants to be stuck with a pint of something they don’t enjoy? Had the hired hand, easy to drink saison with smooth finish. Also offer growlers for sale\refill. Kind of cold, industrial feel so a little loud but fits the theme. No food for sale but do allow you to bring it in. Good mix, definitely recommend checking it out

Watch out for a «douchbag» calling himself the «Chairman» of the BLA (Possible homeless guy).
He goes there alot. He trask talks about how he can rase your taxes if you don’t pay him enough «respect». Let the 5’2″ douchbag go… ask the bartender to call the cops and enjoy yourself once he is gone.

Love this spot. Good beer and a good view. Plenty food places near and staff is laid back. Come get fisted!

Nice view, great beer, awesome owners. I recommend asking for a taste of any beer you’re curious about… there’s usually a large selection to choose from!

Nice looking place, laid back and comfortable. Decent selection of beer, and I like that they incorporated the neighborhood into the name of a beer.
I would have rated it higher, but the service needs improvement. You have too much competition to leave customers standing at the bar waiting to order on a slow night.

By far, my favorite brewery in San Diego county. The beers are amazing, the owners are awesome, and the regulars are really nice and I always have a great time here. The Barrio Logan location is really great. It’s my go to place when I pickup friends or family from the airport. It will also be a great place to hit before a Padres game.
They do not serve food but there are many options close by. Mishmash is opening soon next door and they will share a patio.

Alright beer but didn’t know what beer was which because the server didn’t know what she gave us. Me and my friend had different beers which clearly looked different and she was saying they were the same. Hard to say which beers are good when the server didn’t even know what was what.

Great beer in a great space with a cool view of Coronado bridge. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We love how Barrio Logan is transforming and plan to visit this place often!

The same great beer that iron fist consistently has. It has great outdoor seating with nice shade & lights at night. It’s big clean & easily accessible.

New brewery in town. They have a great variety to fit everyone’s taste bud!!! It’s a trick to get there with the aid of GPS, but it was worth it once you get there!
And their growler is pretty sick looking!!!

It’s koo… Gotta come down! Good Belgium suds! Great views of Coronado Bridge. No kitchen but sometimes they have guest chef’s and you can bring food from restaurants (la central has great cheesy pizza & they’ll deliver). Dog friendly, have tv’s for sports. We’ll be back fo sure!

I LOVE Beer! No I’m not an alcoholic I just love beer enough to enjoy drinking it and it’s presence so with that being said I was excited that this place opened up since it’s conveniently located where my babysitter is. I have already been here a couple of times and I enjoy the service and the beer. So many unique acne different flavors of beer. I’ve had the spice of life and renegade blonde. Recommend both. I tasted a few more but I can remember the names sadly. I will be back. Oh and the place is calm and relaxing. Beautiful patio area to chill and pet friendly! Check it out, you will enjoy. :)

20 or so beers on tap on any given night and unlike most places, it doesn’t consist of like 9 IPA’s (thank Gee-​sus). Wide variety of specialty beers and a 4-​beer flight only sets you back $ 7 aaaaaaand they allow you to get specialty brews in that flight.
Nice, open setting. Comfortable. We sat outside and reveled in the fact that while we sat there adding completely unnecessary calories to our diets, a bunch of goons from the CrossFit place next door ran laps around the shopping center and flipped tires. You know what you can’t get a buzz off of? A tire.

This is a god send! I live a block away and have been waiting for something like this to open up in this neighborhood. Iron Fist is an amazing local brewery up in North County, they never disappoint! I’m excited to see how this place does, I’ll definitely be stopping in very frequently.

My husband and I had gone to the Iron Fist in Vista, and that was too far away. We loved the place, but the distance was daunting because we live much more south. So when we heard by our good friends that they were opening one right in our neighborhood, we were thrilled! I love this place because it’s clean, owners are nice, and the beer is inexpensive and sooooo darn good!!!
You need to try Roots of Wrath, Raisin a Fist, Marshall Law, and Velvet Glove– Vanilla. Those are so delicious, although I tried other beers that were just too strong for me. Beware though! The beers have very high alcohol levels.
They also have a private room in the back. So far they have a nice wood table and few chairs. I think they plan on putting in some lounge couches.

So this place just opened 2 days ago. I have never been to their other location but I decided to give them a try since they’re down south now. They have a lot of good choices of beers on tap and A LOT of the beers have high ABV %. The flights are reasonably priced, 4 4oz tasters for $ 7. I tried 2 of the ones that had coffee in the decription and they were both really good, I think one might have been called velvet vanilla? I then decided to get a 10 oz and that was $ 5, and a 4oz would have been $ 3. so just go for the 10oz.
They have a food truck outside selling organic food and Iron fist has a one sided, one page menu to show the options you can get from the truck. Personally, nothing on there appealed to me. I think they should have more small appz to offer likr mayhe some loaded fries or chips, but ehhh thats not Iron Fist’s call so I won’t let that play into this 4 star rating.
So the place itself looks okay with lots of little 4 people high tops and outside seating, BUT it needs fans (there’s none on the top or any portable ones around) or AC. I went in with yesterday’s weather, it was about 93, and holy moly it was freaking hot! That’s the only reason I left after my one beer. I couldn’t stand it. I had to keep using their menu to fan myself. it was really uncomfortable. So this is the only reason I’m taking a star off. I might return for a second try once summer is over :)
