I agree with Yvette A. As a Chicano, it is even more important to support new businesses around Chicano Park. I used to frequent this BS but after a couple visits, I soon realized that it was run as a «free for all» BS. The outcome of your cut would depend on the mood and behavior of the staff for that day. Also, even though there is a pricing chart on the wall, none of the barbers go by it unless you declare the cut you ask for. One barber would charge you $ 15, the other $ 20 for the same cut even though the chart states $ 13. There is one barber with a long slicked back hair style that is way outdated(I believe«Desperado» came out back in 1993) who somehow believes everyone wants to listen to his personal problems. Look hommie, no one wants to hear about you and your girlfriend’s apartment search issues because you have poor credit, just get to cutting! If that is not enough, the staff uses the«entertainment» center for their personal music and movie selections. Usually businesses install these kinds of amenities for the customers, not the employees. The worst part is that once customers get into the movie that they are forced to watch, some pendejo barber changes it to something else. I cannot close out without providing some advise to my misguided Chicanos barbers at FFBS, how about if you loop play«The Field of Dream», you just may learn that if you start taking your profession seriously, customers will come!

Great place and clean. We had an appointment so Ronnie took us right in. He was very patient with my 17 month old and the other guy even changed the channel to cartoons for my son to watch. Will definitely bring my son again. Make sure you made an appointment!

DONTGOIFYOUR A WALK-In!!! You walk in and the have this list they have you sign in, but whenever the barbers are done with the current customer they ponder around looking like they are lost. On top of that some barbers don’t even go by the list. I get that they have appointments but I waited 1 hour and still nothing No acknowledgement no. «Do you have«Appointment sir»? Nothing at all. all and all you pretty much need to be a friend to the barber to be acknowledge in this barber shop. Please save your time by going some place else. So sad!

I was initially so happy to find a modern barber shop in my neighborhood and was excited to support a local business. My experience started out great and I was going to Art who was truly an artist and gave me exactly what I wanted every time and was super chill to chat with as well. Sadly Art left and I have gone to see a few of the other barbers and I was not impressed. Cesar was arrogant and barely talked to me but was sure talkative with his buddies, I went home with a bunch of little cuts from the straight razor used that formed scabs. Then I saw Oscar who surprisingly was one of the managers. He never gave me what I asked for. Why did I keep going back to him? I hoped it would get better, but my last visit was by far the WORST haircut I have ever had. He cut all my hair off and gave me a crew cut, I looked like a marine. Nothing against marines but I am not a marine and did not ask him to cut off all my hair. With no fade, taper or the undercut I had asked for, no style what so ever. He barely talked to me because apparently he was fighting with his girl(no business of mine) but it affected his customer service. I have been wearing a hat ever since out of embarrassment of this horrible haircut. I called to complain and the other manager said to come to him directly, no apology, no offer for a complimentary hair-cut NOTHING! I am truly disappointed and pissed at their unprofessionalism. They need a REAL manager, the managers are all young barbers with no leadership or customer service skills. I will NEVER return here and am currently looking for a REAL barbershop with barbers that care about their craft.

It’s sad to see a business w/potential in prime space go to waste. I’ve been coming to the fade factory for a few months now. I live in the area and it is very convenient for me since they have late open hours. I decided to not go back for these reasons. 1)Barbers: there is no consistency. Some days I’ll get an amazing clip. Other days it will be horrible. Some barbers decide to charge you whatever they feel like it, even if the prices are set and posted on the wall, watch out. They can also get very loud, very quickly. Their lack of professionalism is a big turn off. Constantly on their phones, cursing every minute, and constant walking off. No place to bring kids. 2)Time: expect to wait 20 – 45 mins, maybe more on Sundays. There is no sense of urgency in this shop. It doesn’t help that many of them are busy with their own issues not related to work. I’m disappointed with this place, maybe a change in some personnel(German and couple others are good) and closer management would make a big difference. Until then, I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

When it states it opens and 9am and doesn’t. Wait 30 min and still no one there. Come back two hours later and now there’s a wait. When I originally had planned to come early so I can avoid this. So annoying!

These guys do a great job” i just wished they didn’t take so long, if they stayed off their cell phones and conversations to the person on their chair it wouldn’t take so long… some of us are on a time crunch.

Been here one time so far, and had a great experience. I went first thing in the morning and I was in and out. Way better than waiting 3 hours just for a hair cut. I will come back.

Finally found a barbershop with relaxed atmosphere, and a straight razor line up. I will be a repeat customer as long as i am in the san diego area.

Screw this spot, waited for over an hour while crew took customer after customer, without saying a word.

To be honest this is one of the best and coolest as well cheap places in town. I went for the first time and I like it. Haircut with great barbers. They can do your eyebrows for $ 5 it was a good experience and affordable.

Usually a good place for a quick hair cut however the barbers cutting Sunday were so vulgar it turned me off to the place. The two boys(five+ seven?) being cut seemed more interested in the blasting TV to notice, however even over the open air compressor in the room the R rated content and F bombs could easily be heard. Not a place to bring kids. Far cry from when the place first opened. Shame.

Best barbers in town. Angel has been cutting my hair since I’ve been in San Diego and never ceases to impress me. Clean environment. Relaxing environment. Kick back and watch the big screens or listen to music. Highly recommended. Very clean.
