Gyro was ok, but too greasy even the rice was greasy. Has potential if they cut back a bit on the grease.

Great affordable Greek food. I like that they hand carved the gyros. The gyros plate is very affordable and is filled with plenty of delicious gyros, rice, and salad.

The Greek food is the best I’ve had in San Diego. They don’t use pre-processed gyro meat like another Greek restaurant that I reviewed. So far i’ve had the gyro and the kebab and both were great. They also have beer! Expect counter service but still a nice atmosphere. If it’s nice weather it’s nice to sit outside too. This place is just minutes to the airport in case you are going somewhere or meeting someone.

We were craving a little Greek and decided to give this place a try since we were nearby and there wasn’t much of a wait. Small place with a few indoor and patio seating. We’re all about cleanliness, but as soon as we walked in, all we could smell was chemicals/cleaning supplies… we couldn’t stand it, so we opted to eat outside. Service was quick. The menu seemed overpriced, especially for lunch. We ordered the Gyro Sandwich with Fries and the Chicken Kabob & Gyro Special. The Special came with 4 – 5 pieces of chicken, 2 – 3 very thin slices of gyro meat, a side of rice, 4 triangles of pita bread, and a scoop of humus. We thought we were going to get a lot more food and almost ordered just the Special to share amongst the two of us. The Special is definitely not enough for two people. The gyro meat, hummus, and rice were good. The chicken was moist. The fries were average. The portions were a good size for one person. Not too filling. For some people, it might not be enough food. The taste was OK, not very flavorful, more on the bland side. Nothing great, but good enough. The tzatziki sauce was a bit on the watery side. We wouldn’t crave the food from here, but it was good enough for us to go back if we happen to be in the area and needed something quick to eat.

Amazing spanakopita. Fresh pita bread. I stopped in here for a quick bite and I wasn’t disappointed.

Friendly counter service and lunch came quickly. I had the falafel sandwich and my husband the gyro. The pita was warm, veggies fresh and the falafel was fall-apart freshly made, best I’ve had in awhile. Tahini had great texture. Husband thought the gyro meat was great too. We’ll be back!

The owner is friendly and you can tell that he takes great pride in his food! The gyro meat is a mixture of lamb and beef and it’s one of the best and most flavorful I’ve ever had including my meals in Athens Greece! It’s lean & light, perfectly spiced, perfectly cooked, and loaded with flavor! The hummus is homemade, creamy and tasty. I’d recommend this place to anyone who appreciates a good gyro!

Small/quiet Greek Café in Liberty Station. I come her about 2 times a month as my office is right down the street. The restaurant is clean and small. The service has always been friendly and the food is great. I really wouldn’t change anything but the portions. They are small, which in a way is good when you aren’t real hungry, but I can see where it would cause disappointment for some.

Conveniently located to our house & affordable, quick, semi healthy dinners. You order at the counter(the fella working there was helpful and very polite). Since it was Wednesday, we ordered the gyros plate which was on special and consisted of a large portion of gyros, pita bread, Greek salad and rice. A hearty, flavorful meal! The gyros was juicy and tasty which complimented perfectly with their homemade tzatziki sauce(best I’ve had). The Greek salad www also very good consisting of lettuce tomato cucumber onion olives feta and dressing. We’ll be back next Wednesday!

Close to our house, so the location is good, just a short walk. The food was decent, though there wasn’t the typical overflowing of meat you would see on a gyro from just about anywhere else. My wife had the shrimp and veggies combo, which was ok, the shrimp was good but the veggies were a little undercooked. Not a bad place, but for a café style lunch it was pretty pricey

Clean facility. Quick service. Food delivered with in minutes. Very tasty! Seating for about 24 inside and maybe 8 outside. ***if you’re looking for something spicy hot to put on your meal, try the red sauce in the Greek Salsa Bar located next to the soda machine. The chicken kabobs were seasoned just right. Not too much to where you can’t taste the chicken. The gyro was inhaled within seconds. The tzatziki sauce was a bit runny for my preference. I lived in Greece for quite some time in the 90s and got spoiled by the real deal on a daily basis. Other than that… FANTASTIC place to grab a a bite or a whole platter.

Lemme tell you, this is the best Greek food I have eaten in San Diego(16 years here, originally from back East)…and I love REAL Greek food. We started with a hummus platter. They grill the pita so it gets a warm, crisped outside. The hummus is made in house, creamy, flavorful, delicious… comes with some sliced cucumbers and tomatoes. Flat-out some awesome hummus. For drinks we had the house-made iced tea, and I had a glass of Greek white vaguely tasting like retsina… it was very nice. She had the chicken skewer plate and I had the lamb/souvlaki combo plate. The meats were all tender, and the souvlaki had a nice char on it came with onions/peppers cooked to perfection. Her plate came with white(basmati, I think) rice and mine came with yellow rice which had a bit of spice to it. The only thing I didn’t love was the tzaziki, it was a bit thin for my taste, prefer it thick… flavor was great though. Attention to details and food quality are top notch, the restaurant was immaculately clean… please understand, there is almost no ambiance to speak of… there was a TV on with Guy Fieri’s Big Bite, ffs… but the food is unbelievably good

I got a groupon for this place and I have to say that I like it! It is a little expensive for fast food but most Greek food is around $ 10-$ 15 a plate; so, I guess it’s pretty standard pricing. The groupon helped though! We ordered the Kabob Sampler which is normally $ 40. It came with a lot of kabobs, 2 types of rice, and a salad. I really liked the chicken and shrimp kabobs– they were really juicy! The girl at the register worked really hard because she was the cashier, waitress, and clean-up all in one. Props to her! She was also really, really nice. People should tip her more often. We came on a night where it was a full house and that poor girl had to do everything by herself! Anyway, I’d come back!

A few points here for worker quickness and friendliness, but overall not what I’d consider a contender for favorite Greek joint in the area. We ordered lunchtime gyro plates(for less than $ 10) which definitely scored for the price and lovely outdoor seating. But where Harbor could use some help is the actual meat of the plates, and that’s literally. The gyro was one of the slimmest I’ve seen as far as amount of meat onboard. And the overall taste wasn’t exactly blowing me away. It wasn’t a bad meal by any means, but in the future I see myself driving a few extra miles to get a more substantial gyro for the price. You have to understand, if I’m going to taste and smell like gyro meat for the rest of the day, I want more bang for my buck. I don’t want to feel like I ate mostly pita.

There are a lot of choices on the menu so I was a bit overwhelmed with choosing my meal since it was my first time there. They do have pictures of their menu item which helped. I ordered the chicken kebob sandwich, which was prepared brought out very quickly. pita bread was nice and flakey, chicken was not dry at all and flavor was pretty good. twas a nice light meal. i especially liked their little ‘Greek salsa bar’, which had pickled carrots, various peppers and hot sauce. Pay with cash and they give you a nice 5% discount on weekdays. Active duty military get 10% off as well.
