Very good bagel shop, but if I were in a hurry, I would be skeptical about going here. I know it’s a small buisness, but I have to wait a while. I love their bagels, really good! I’m not a fan of the smoothies, but I’m a picky eater. I think this a nice bagel shop but could sometimes be a little loud. The employees are super respectful and are very busy but get it done as fast as they can! I like this bagel shop a lot! Oh, and they do serve coffee:)

Had the breakfast bagel sandwich. the bagel(Everything bagel) was the best, fluffy, just the right amount of softness and easy to chew, tasty! The eggs, etc. not the best. Would definitely come back for the bagel!

Best NYC style bagels around ! seriously you won’t find bagels like this many places out of NYC. I also Like they have random sweets, coffee cake, and such, — they also make fresh OJ to order, this is great ! My go to is a bagel sandwich with ham And cheese.

Came here just for the acai bowl! Our order came out pretty quickly. The bowl was quite tasty; the texture was a little different from the usual acai bowls that I get but it was still really good. It was somewhat icy. I usually don’t like bananas but always forget to ask them to take it out. However, the bananas in this bowl was actually not bad! It wasn’t too soft/gooey. Everything was really tasty! Definitely want to come back for more!

Came here once to order a container jug of coffee with creamer, cups, straws and order one bagel. Got my container jug of coffee, bag of whatever and left. Upon driving 35 minutes back to my work. I realized my bagel wasn’t in the bag. When I called, the woman gave me attitude and told me that«I didn’t get the bagel myself» so I left it there. This is a 8 month late review but I realized I still paid for a bagel and cream cheese I didn’t ever get.

I really like that they are a small, non corporate neighborhood place, but the wait times are just too long. The first time I came I waited over 20 minutes for a golden scramble. One bagel! After taking a break, I decided to give it another try. I waited 15 minutes for the same order this time. This will be my last visit. I don’t have time to wait 15 to 20 minutes for my breakfast, which is just okay to begin with. Also, when I got home, I realized my order was wrong. Annoying!

Nice because its close to me, but the lack of efficiency makes it a drag. I love the idea of a golden scramble, but the eggs come out cold, or bagel is bad or whatever. Plus, it takes forever for just a bagel.

Typical bagel shop. Great for a quick stop & go, even with a long line my order came out in a reasonable amount of time(5−10min). A friend and I each got the Golden Bagel sandwich, one on Garlic and one on Jalapeño Cheese. Fresh cuts of lettuce and tomato, thick amounts of ham, turkey, and some crispy bacon. I especially liked the Jalapeño Cheese bagel. Spicy, soft, and complemented the spread. The Garlic bagel, not so much. Dense and it didn’t complement the softness of the rest of the sandwich. I’ll stop by here again if I’m ever in PQ to try their smoothies.

Went back after a short hiatus because a bagel sounded good. Receipt says 2 whole wheat bagels and got home to find 2 blueberry bagels. Seriously!!! I don’t care how good they are, finding a new place. This is ridiculous.

I was in a rush and needed a smoothie quick! It was my first time at Golden Bagel and I ordered a 16 oz. Mega Mango Smoothie($ 3.95 — Orange and pineapple juice, mangos and strawberries) and a blueberry scone($ 1.95). NOTE: There is a $ 0.50 charge on orders less than $ 5.00 when using a card. The smoothie was AMAZING and refreshing!!! Tangy, just the way I like mine. I want another just thinking about it. The blueberry scone was average — would be delicious if toasted. I am excited to return and try more items!

Date of visit: 9÷12÷2015 Golden Bagel is a PQ staple, but every time we go, I get more and more irritated with the lack of efficiency by the staff making the bagels. Yes, I understand that bagels are super popular on Saturday mornings, but that is absolutely no excuse for a 30 minute wait for two bagels. Do not come here Saturday morning or else you’re in for a long wait. It’s been a while between our visit because last time we came here(early in the morning) we also had another long wait, so I don’t know why it’s so inefficient. In my opinion their bagels are only slightly better than Einstein’s, but at least Einstein can get customers in and out way faster than 30 minutes. Anyway, it’s a shame that Golden Bagel has the bagel monopoly in PQ since their turnaround time is so terrible. I will admit that their food is pretty good though, so all my visits together probably even out to 3 stars. The owner is really friendly and greets all of his regulars while they wait in line.

Have to say I was not that impressed. First time coming here. The spread that they put was so thick that it took away from the taste of the bagel. The service was slow and it was not that busy. I waited a good 20 minutes for two sandwiches. For a place that was not busy I was shocked it took so long. I was able to get my SB, which had a line and still waited another 10 minutes for my sandwiches

The only bagel place in PQ has become a staple of the community. For a long time these were the only bagels I ever knew existed, and they definitely do solid bagels Naturally the bagels will be fresher in the morning, and sometimes some flavors run out but you can always find something. The golden scramble is a delicious bagel creation and their smoothies aren’t bad either!

No bagel place can even come close to comparing with the taste of the bagels at Golden Bagel. Not only are their bagels amazingly delicious, but also their spreads and cream cheeses are so wonderfully flavorful. They have sandwiches and various pizzas; all equally delicious. They also have delicious acai bowls(with a generous amount of fruit and granola!) and smoothies. The reason why I’m giving four stars versus five stars is because of service. Like other reviews stated, customer service is hit or miss. Also, it can take upwards of 10 – 15 minutes just for a bagel!(Not even during busy times of day). Sandwiches and other dishes might take even longer! Regardless, the bagels and food are good enough to wait for. After tasting Golden Bagel, you won’t ever want store bought bagels again.

Decent acai bowls I came here after work to grab some acai bowls for me and my mom for the first time and when I got home I must say it is good! The only thing I didn’t like was the fruit wasn’t that fresh. Compared to other acai bowls I have had, the fruit could have been better. I even found a rotten blueberry… The bagels are really yummy! Soft and fresh. I would def come here for the bagels! Customer service is ok. When I walked in no one greeted me and the cashier gal didn’t seem too happy. Maybe she had a bad day? This probably won’t be my go to place for acai bowls but def my go to for morning bagels!

«Don’t judge a book by it’s cover» is a quote I’ve heard many times, but something I haven’t implemented into my lifestyle. I’m normally one to judge food based on the interior of the store, before I’ve even tried anything. This bagel store may not have the best interior or vibe, however their bagels are amazing. Think of the bagels you get from Panera bread. Now imagine that and make it ten times better. Their bagels are warm, fresh, rich, and flavorful. I ordered a toasted blueberry bagel with butter and another toasted everything bagel with cream cheese. I was extremely satisfied with both combinations and finished both bagels within seconds. I would definitely recommend a visit here one morning. And if Starbucks coffee is the only coffee you get, just walk right next door. It’s the perfect location.

First time! Was looking to grab brunch at the Café 56 but it’s been awhile since ive been in the area and didn’t know this location had closed. So, my fiancée’ and I stopped by the Golden Bagel. By far one of the best bagels and bagels sandwiches ive ever had. Their bagels are not the typical chewy hard ones you get at your local store. These bagels are fresh, soft, and taste amazing. They also even have a smoothie and juice maker. When in the area i’ll be sure to come back and try other items.

This is my all time favorite bagel shop in San Diego! The service is great & their bagels are so delicious & flavorful. My favorite is their Everything bagel & what I love most about it is that the outside is crunchy & the inside is soft. Also, I love their Salmon bagel sandwich. Whatever you decide to get, get it toasted! In addition, their smoothies are great! I love their Pinabanana Guava, Orange Blitz, & Acai Energy smoothies

My all time favorite quick breakfast place near my house! Great customer service too. I come at least once a week, and would recommend to anyone looking for a great smoothie or bagel sandwich. They also have acai bowls and they’re amazing! My girlfriend and I typically share one and a golden bagel. Perfect light meal for 2. PQ is so lucky to have this place. With a Starbucks around the corner too, they have lots of nice outdoor seating to kickoff your morning. If Starbucks wifi is slow, Golden Bagel’s is great!

Just one of those small bagel shops that has quick and easy snacks to be picked up! What they offer: Bagels, Bagel Sandwiches, Focaccia Sandwiches, Signature Sandwiches, Wraps, Salads, Soups, Acai Bowls and Smoothies. FOOD: Tuna Salad Melt $ 7.95 Special recipe albacore tuna, light mayo, tomato & mozarella cheese with a pickle on the side. — I wouldn’t be able to tell you what was exactly in their tuna salad, but it is defnitely unique and tastes mighty healthy. Seems to be pieces of celery like veggies mixed with tuna and some sort of grain. They serve large portions of tuna on top of each side of the bagel so i literally eat one side at a time instead of putting them together as a sandwich. Everything seems to taste so well together. Great for breakfast or lunch! Reuben Melt $ 7.95 Corned Beef, Sauerkraut, and Cheese — This is a simple sandwich. Corned beef and cheese goes well together, but not so sure about the sauerkraut. The sauerkraut is quite sour, but this is the boyfriends favorite sandwich. Acai Smoothie(Large) $ 4.99 — This smoothie is soooo damn good that I might prefer this over Jamba Juice, and i LOVE jamba juice. It tastes so perfect and knowing that acai berries are a superfood makes it even better to drink. I definitely need to come back and get the Acai bowls as well which sell for $ 6 each. Bagels : REGULARS Plain Everything Onion Poppyseed Sesame Pumpernickel Honey Wheat Sun-Dried Tomato Jalapeño Salt Spinach Garlic Italian Herb w/Rosemary Sourdough SWEETS Blueberry Cranberry-Orange Cinnamon Raisin Chocolate Chip Apple Cinnamon Banana Walnut CHEESES Asiago Jalapeño-Cheese Three Cheese Pizza SERVICE: The workers here could use more of a smile or two but they take our orders quickly. Unfortunately it takes nearly forever for them to make our sandwiches. Yes they are made fresh and on the spot but it shouldn’t take nearly 30 minutes for two sandwiches. Especially when there were probably about 5 groups of people who came in after us and all got their orders first. Overall this place has some good items, but i just wish they had more bagel flavors because most of the time, they dont have all the bagels displayed as shown on their website(which i listed above).
