We stopped by to grab breakfast and it was fairly busy after we arrived. I got the lox bagel on everything & my bf got egg & cheese on sundried tomato. My bagel was toasted with plenty of cream cheese and capers and a good amount of smoked salmon for $ 6.50.

Love to come here in the morning… fresh toasted bagels, hmmmm, yum. This place is located at the corner of a small plaza, at one end of an intersection next to Avis car rental. Most people come-and-go to get bagels while there’s still some seating area inside of the store. I love how they have various choices, get a bit cream cheese to spread it on your warm toasted bagels, you will start the day with peace.

My daughter and I have lived in Rancho Bernardo for 14 years and we have made this place our frequent morning destination. I am originally from New York City and I can quite honestly say that the bagels made here come very close to the original. I highly recommend the lox and bagel combo. However, order it on a toasted plain or everything bagel for the full NY experience. It isn’t the same if eaten on other types of bagels. The price might be high but the quality of the product justifies the price. This shop is a local hangout on the weekends for RBer’s. It’s a great place to grab some breakfast and coffee. They added an espresso machine a year or two back so you don’t need to go to Starbuck’s for a latte.

Best I’ve had in the west in comparison to a true NY bagel!

I don’t really fancy myself a bagel connoisseur, but this place seemed pretty ok. They have a pretty good and standard selection of bagels. I got a blueberry bagel with cream cheese and an everything with cream cheese on the side. The blueberry had a nice blue color, but I couldn’t really tell you it was blueberry if I were blindfolded. But it was a decent breakfast. Just under $ 6 for the two, so make your judgment if that’s a good price or not. I came in around 7am, and it was a little surprisingly not busy. It did take some time to get my items, and somehow, a couple people who came in after me were bagel’d before I was. I didn’t require much, but the service was great otherwise.

This is my third time here and every time it’s packed because of popularity but they don’t make you wait at all. I love how quickly they work and the breakfast sandwiches are good portions. Great selections of coffees too. Definitely my new close to home coffee and bagel spot.

I love bagels, they are my vice. That being said, I’m always on the hunt for the next great bagel shop so I can stop by before work and give myself a treat! I especially love lox sandwich type bagels, and I read the reviews saying that the NY bagel here is pretty good. So I came in one morning and ordered it, and my bagel sandwich came out to be $ 7.51. So already my standards are hella high because $ 7.51 is insane for a bagel sandwich. Upon opening the contents, I see that the bagel is really, nothing special. It was a yummy breakfast yes, and quite hearty(I ate it for breakfast and lunch) but the taste or quantity doesn’t justify the price. The cheese bagel that I ordered was a bit too dry and hard, lacking the nice fresh chewy texture of an amazing bagel. I hate to say it but this is a place that I won’t be coming back to. Hopefully I can find somewhere else close by that does yummy breakfast bagels!

Excellent authentic bagels, that reminded me of real, East Coast offerings. They have that perfect tough, chewy crust that few can imitate. I had already had lunch, but picked up a dozen to take home, and everyone was happy. There could have been more salmon in the lox/cream cheese spread.

I drifted in here for lunch after seeing this place touted in one of the alternative weeklies, encouraged that it didn’t seem to be part of a large chain. The parking lot of this small strip center is a little tough to navigate and the restaurant could use some updating. Since I grew up here in SoCal I don’t pretend to be a bagel expert but my salmon sandwich on an onion bagel was pretty easy to get down. If you’re nearby, sure, check it out but I wouldn’t go too far out of my way.

Came in here to grab a quick breakfast before our visit to Sea World. My friend had a breakfast burrito, which was made with three eggs and was HUGE. They toast the tortilla for you and serve it with salsa on the side. They have a large variety of bagels, asiago, cranberry, jalapeño cheese, you name it, they have it. They also have breakfast bagels with egg omelette and turkey or they can make you a lunch bagel with turkey and veggies. The service wasn’t very quick, but they make any adjustments that you want, which is great :)

Great location, great prices, family friendly and fast service. Bagels are average but the service and friendly staff is the top notch and can’t be beat. They are helpful and offer suggestions as well. Great for breakfast and you can get a dozen with a freezer bag to take home.

Lox and smoked salmon are one of my vices and served on homemade bagels make it even better! I stopped in for breakfast at this little New York Bagel shop and ordered me the New York Salmon on a toasted honey oat bagel for around $ 7 with a cup of Seattle’s Best coffee. They served it as a sandwich and not opened faced. The bagel was very well made, had great flavor, and a super chewy texture. I liked that the bagel came with flakes of oats on top. The smoked salmon and cream cheese were abundant and delicious. The smoked salmon was of good quality and had a mild smoky flavor followed by a small amount of brine. The salmon was rich and had a great soft and silky texture. The cream cheese was, well creamy and quite tasty indeed. A great way to start my day. The Seattle Best was good. It had a mild edgy bitterness, but for the moist part if was robust and smooth. Service was very good at the ordering and paying counter. They make an array of bagel sandwiches and offer bagels at bulk levels. They also mix and make their own cream cheeses with a variety of flavors. Great Bagels…

Very tasty bagels, decent price and great staff. Parking not a problem early in the morning.

We come here at least twice a month. Great bagels, super friendly staff– always friendly – regardless of day of week or time of day. Why make a big deal about that? It’s sad that customer service is almost a thing of the past so it DOES stand out. My younger kiddo loves the chocolate chip bagels and my older kiddo loves the cheese & jalapeño. I like that they are always fresh!

Big bagels. Nice and warm too! Fast, friendly service. Good selection of bagel flavors and cream cheese spreads. Folks at work ate these up pronto! (not the case with other brands of bagels) Our new go-to for bagels!

This place was not good at all. The bagels were ok but only because I was starving. The cream cheese was flavorless Even when we had chive and jalapeño cream cheese. The omelet bagel was ok. They microwave the eggs which still tastes ok but $ 2 extra to add two pieces of bacon to my husbands bagel is a bit silly. The fridge in the front rattles and is so loud it’s hard to hear when your eating and talking to your table guests. It’s a bit run down in there and needs some special attention.

Needed to grab quick breakfast before our adventure trip and randomly found this place. Good thing they are open early in the morning. They have a good number of bagel sandwiches, but their sign does not indicate other meats or toppings that you can add on to it. I chose the omelette sandwich and added sausage and cream cheese to it. I noticed that they only microwave their eggs. But the omelette wasn’t that bad, it was nice that it had veggies evenly distributed throughout the omelette. I also chose the garlic bagel which was pretty good. There were real pieces of dried up or fried garlic all over it which gave it a slight crunch. It was unfortunate that we did not have any toothpicks to hold our sandwiches together because they kept falling apart with every bite. Overall the sandwiches were standard. Not very flavorful. But good enough. They don’t have that much variety of bagels either.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, but the parking lot has been a deterrent for me. I decided to grab my staff some breakfast one morning as a treat and figured this would be the time to give this place a shot. We had just had a flood in the office and had no use of our kitchen, so I thought this might put a smile on the face of my employees. I ordered a bagel box, which came with 13 bagels and 2 cream cheese. As the guy who was helping me packed up my bagels I happened to mention that I had no access to my kitchen knives, etc. He not only offered me extra napkins, and knives, but he threw plates in the bag for me as well. He also offered to grab all the bagels and slice them for me. I know it may seem like that was his job, but I really appreciated the effort. He was really kind and service oriented. I appreciate that about places that I frequent, and this will now be one of those places! Oh and the bagels were fantastic but the cherry on top was the honey walnut cream cheese… don’t leave without it!!!

I love bagels so I got a bundle(13) of bagels with 2 cream cheese tubs. I like how they have a wide variety of bagel and cream cheese choices. I got cinnamon raisin, blueberry, everything, onion, Asiago Parmesan, and jalapeño. I picked the honey walnut and light veggie cream cheese. I also got a Reuben sandwich. I know… carb overload! Right when I got home, I toasted the blueberry bagel and had it with the honey walnut cream cheese. It was very good! The bagel had good flavor and a good chew to it. The honey walnut cream cheese was smooth and at the sweetness level that I like. My boyfriend had the Reuben sandwich and he really liked it! He said the ingredients were very fresh. He also liked that there was a lot of meat and the crispy bacon was a nice surprise. The service was friendly and fast. I will definitely be coming back!

This spot didn’t inspire me very much. I LOVE egg and bagel sammy’s and while they did the job they didn’t do it in such a way that I will be coming back on the regular. Egg and cheese bagel $ 3.55(w/tax). The egg was microwaved which seems to be in fashion right now. It tasted really fake. the bagel itself was good but not toasted which made me sad. the cheese wasn’t ample. Like most places they will butter your bagel without asking. Service was OK. I dunno, usually I like to give some story about the places I go or involve Camilla the Unilocaling Hen. However even she was so underwhelmed by this place that she closed her eyes and fluffed up her feathers to sleep.
