Good drinks and quality customer service! Love the atmosphere — great place to do hw or just hang out. My personal favorite would have to be the strawberry matcha smoothie. Definitely recommend anything w/matcha or even by itself!

Their Thai tea with boba was very good definitely better than some I’ve tried before. I also bought a couple ounces of the coconut truffle tea, which smelled freaking awesome. They also tell you the temp and duration of your steep for your particular tea. Fast and friendly. Will return to curb my tea cravings.

I moved to San Diego from Washington state. I loved having tea with my friends and family there. So I was very excited and happy to see that there are some tea places down here. The prices are a LOT higher then what I have had in Washington state but I’m willing to pay the prices. I love Enligh tea and was very excited to see that they had all sorts of different kinds of teas. From Earl Grey to Oolongs to Thai Iced Tea.

The owner personally made me my drink today! Ordered an Avocado Matcha(Japanese Green Tea) Smoothie and he even hooked it up fruit jellies on the house!!! Such a delicious drink and the Spring Rolls were huge!!! Just made my day and now I feel enlightened :)

A pleasant surprise tucked away in the Mission Valley mall! I’m a boba and tea lover. I’ve had boba tea all across California and have been generally disappointed with what San Diego has to offer. Tonight I finally found something worth drinking! The rooibos smoothie with boba is excellent here! Highly recommend

EnlighTea sells tasty tea. Hot tea, iced tea, loose teas, latte teas, and other associated offerings. Some of their teas are unique, although many are the standard fare. This business replaces an older one that served pretty lousy tea and coffee. So it’s a big improvement by any standard. When they first opened, EnlighTea offered a Unilocal deal of $ 20 worth of merchandise for $ 10. We use this tonight with no problem. I think the deal was actually too good, because the cashier indicated that that was an old deal that they no longer offered. But it worked like a charm for us! The beauty of this place is that you can grab a quick and refreshing beverage while shopping in the mall. It won’t be the standard Starbucks…

Just bought the Unilocal deal, and the woman at the counter refused it.

ENLIGHTEACAFE, what can I say? Meet one of the managers of the place, and he was a TOTAL sweetheart. Definitely reeled us in with samples(WHODOESNTLOVESAMPLES!) but ended up leaving with a drink. My boyfriend and I got a green tea smoothie with boba(might I add, the best boba i’ve had.) and it was delish! It wasnt you’re typical green tea powder with ice cream and ice and so on and so forth. The flavor stayed rich throughout. You know how with slushies or fake smoothies at the end of the drink you’re ended up with lots and lots of syrup type stuff or just ice, and nothing but ice… DEFINITELY was NOT like that. Slurped it till the end: D I’m not a big fan of trying new things, but im glad i tried out enlightea. Now that they have boba, it should be a hit! Thank you enlightea café for enlightening me ! :P(cheesy… i know… teehee)

Easy 5 stars. I was wondering about in the Food Court tonight, and then, as I was walking out, I stumbled across this magnificent little café. How awesome it was! What made it catch my attention was not actually me going there intentionally — I was grabbed by seeing that 2 or 3 other people were heading into it, because the staff was offering samples! and being super friendly and open about it, too. The samples tonight: Taro Fruit, Chai Tea, and Green Tea.(There may have even been another one, too, but I forget.) I followed these customers in, and asked if I could have 2 samples. They instantly said yes, and gave me both my desired ones — Taro & Chai. They were so eager, and even asked if I wanted to try something else too! As I was in the process of sampling, I was stunned before I even gulped both samples down — these people know how to make gorgeous tea! After wavering between which of the 2 I wanted to buy(it was such a hard decision, cuz they were so good!) I chose to buy a Taro smoothie.(next time, buying the Chai, for sure!) Since it was late at night and towards closing, it happened to be a little quiet in this specific time. Their staff of 3(at that current time) was SO kind to me. … in fact, one of them happened to be the President &CEO!(note: I only found this out at the end of the conversation, as that’s how humble he is.) I asked him if I could chat with him, as I was enjoyably slurping down my Taro. He spent so much of his time with me as I was drinking my cup. And this is at 8:45 pm on a weeknight. He generously shared so much in detail about the philosophy behind what they do, and what makes them different. I was so convinced of everything that I learned about EnlighTea being distinctive.(not only by what I learned, but especially by how my cup of Taro tasted.) They are so pure, fresh, original, and they offer an unusually humongous variety(in total, they have 100+ different combinations of tea beverages!). and they offer both hot and cold. unlike your average tea shop, they WANT to be flexible to the customer.(For instance tonight I could have customized my Taro but I chose not to.) This is what I call luxury. I love their vision. And their spirit. From my experience tonight, my sincere hope is that they will someday in the near future be competing with Starbucks. I would not be be surprised if this happened. Best of luck until I come to you again, which will be very soon, EnlighTea!

White tea, green tea, black tea, rooibus tea! EnlighTea is alrighty with me, because now I have tons of choices for my tea drinks right in the mission valley food court! They have agave or honey to sweeten my tea. They offer almond milk, soy milk, 2% milk and nonfat milk. And they have BOBA! They also have organic coffee, but tea is the real star. EnlighTea makes all their hot and cold tea drinks from fresh brewed tea and NOT from Powders! I’m impressed. They also have taro that’s not from a powder. I enjoyed my cold tea with boba, rooibus tea, taro and agave and 2% milk. Be aware that when you add ingredients it can add to the price. Our total bill came to around $ 8 for our 2 tea drinks. Mine was more expensive than my husband’s because I added more ingredients. Until now, coffee drinkers have plenty of gourmet choices, but tea drinkers were out of luck. Now along comes EnlighTea which makes drinking tea ultra cool as well as gourmet and full of antioxidants! They also sell a nice variety of good quality loose tea leaves.

I finally stopped by this place after walking past so many times in the food court. I wanted to try something new so I asked what Rooibos tea was and the owner/employee recommended I try the Rooibos tea smoothie with almond milk and vanilla sweetener. HECKYEAH! Since I’m lactose intolerant this was perfect for me. When the drink was ready I got out of my chair to get it, but she went out of her way to serve it to me… what awesome service! Not to mention the tea was spot-on delicious! They also sell loose leaf tea that you can take home and looked reasonably priced to me. Most importantly their prices are reasonable as well, not like Starbucks where you’re paying almost $ 5 for a drink. I’m definitely coming back here for my tea fix!

I was so happy to see that a tea shop moved into the old Coffee Bean booth in the Mission Valley food court. I often enjoy a coffee or tea when shopping and ever since the Coffee Bean closed, Mission Valley mall lacked that. Actually, this natural tea shop is a both out-of-place and welcome addition to the otherwise tacky food court. It kind of makes one corner of the food court into a Zen getaway. I enjoy the variety of different teas they serve, and wasn’t sure what to order. Finally, I settled on an ice-blended rooibos with skim milk. When they asked what I wanted it sweetened with, I was about to say«Splenda», when they offered me several natural options, so I chose vanilla powder. Service is slightly slow, as they take time to make these drinks, and it seemed to be a popular spot that evening. I hope that with some growth, they are able to have a bit more staff working during busy times. Anyway, next time I’m shopping at Mission Valley mall, I will stop by to sample another type of tea!

I am a big tea drinker. Hot tea, unsweetened — all natural. Specifically Oolong. They have an awesome selection of loose leaf teas there that you can order to drink there, to go, or even purchase tea for your home(plus tea accessories and candles). I usually get my tea shipped from SF but now that this company has opened up in San Diego — I just can just roll over to their shop in the Mission Valley Mall food court and get what I need right there. Prices are good, very cool staff, chill atmosphere. Check it out — tell ‘em Pernicious Attire sent you!
