So like many on here i found Crystals deal on groupon and i have seen the light and turned a loyal customer! The salon she works at is super cute and cool and such a good atmosphere. You can tell everyone working their genuinely likes the place!
About a week before our appointment i sent Crystal a few pictures of the cut and the color i was looking for. My hair is really dark and i want my balayage highlights light so crystal went right to work lightening my hair as much as she could! She was skilled and talented and so easy to talk to!
For this being phase 1 of my hair lightening process is looks amazing! I get so many compliments on the cut and color and can not wait to go back!

Crystal is fantastic & especially talented if you are looking to try: balayage style of coloring, extensions &/​or wanting to try something totally new (all of which I’ve done with her) & each time I have LOVED the results. My color has a ton of dimension & a naturalness to it (& I am not a natural blonde which says a lot to her skills). You know you will get the royal treatment every time you sit in her chair.

Crystal is my hair guru. I went to her for my first balayage/​ombré and she nailed it. The colors blended so well and I’ve never gotten so many complements on my «style» since. She’s absolutely amazing– I won’t go to anyone else.

I had been in search of a new stylist to highlight and cut my curly hair when I found Crystal. My former stylist, who retired, recommended her not only as a wonderful stylist, but also as a friendly and compassionate person.
I found her information online and noticed she had a Groupon available for a balayage color and hair cut. I booked an appointment and after my first visit, I was hooked. I was a bit hesitant to try balayage, since I have just always highlighted my hair and didn’t want it to look too ombré. She convinced me and I think it looks great!
This will be my third time seeing her and I always look forward to our visits, the beautiful coloring and excellent styling she does. I also love our conversations and she’s always very attentive.
She is at the Lighthouse Salon, which is in a funky neighborhood and definitely has a lot of personality. Inside the salon, it’s airy and bright, very calming too.
I would recommend her for any of your hair needs. She works with you to find a good solution to your hair preference and what she knows will look good on you.

I love this girl! Groupon brought us together 3 years ago when I moved here from NoCal and I followed Crystal on her professional journey to find her place at The Lighthouse. She is worth it! A skilled, competent and confident professional, Crystal has guided and encouraged me to try different hair styles and I always feel absolutely fabulous. I could not say a single unkind word about her. The salon is super funky and The LIghthouse is lucky to have Crystal. I am a fan.

My review is for Ms. Crystal Mendez. I’ve been going to this lovely girl for the past two plus years and honestly I refuse to go to anybody else. she knows exactly what she’s doing and always has my hair looking on point! I always get compliments on my hair style and hair color! I don’t even stress about what I want to do with it anymore because I leave it all to her. She gives me great advice with no pressure at all. Not to mention she is absolutely beautiful so why wouldn’t I take her advice! :)

I had my hair done by Crystal for the first time, today. I am new to the area and finding a new stylist is often a challenge. I am relieved to know that Crystal does an amazing job! I came across her groupon offer and decided to make an appointment.
To start off The Lighthouse Salon is a cute salon with modern country chic décor. It is very open and inviting. I was greeted at the front desk by a very friendly associate. She offered coffee, water, etc and asked me to have a seat until Crystal was ready for me. Once ready, Crystal introduced herself and we had a quick consultation to see what I wanted done. Crystal listened to what I wanted and made suggestions. She is very nice, professional, and makes you feel comfortable while getting your hair done. I got color work as well as a haircut. I am SO happy with the outcome! I even received a compliment on my way out of the salon. She did an great job delivering exactly what I asked for. I will definitely be back to see Crystal when I’m ready for my next cut or color.

Let me begin by saying. Crystal is hands down the best Hair stylist out there. I came to her with severely damaged hair. And let me tell you. After the first visit my hair was alive again. She is kind and makes you feel comfortable. Not only does she color magnificent, but the cut is phenomenal too! I highly recommend her for your next cut, color or whatever you need done to your mane. I love Crystal! I stumbled upon her from a Groupon deal 2 years ago and liked her so much, I decided to stick with her. She’s helped me develop a new style through her creativity and awareness of my needs and wants. I always feel great after seeing her. She is professional, flexible and easy to talk to. Newest cracker jack in the salon. Crystal is a tremendous addition to the salon. She’s fun, bubbly and totally professional. She and Ed make a great team and I am thrilled to see her whenever I go to the salon, or when we run into each other shopping in our neighborhood. This gal has a terrific career ahead!

Crystal is awesome! I relocated to SD in January and was having major anxiety about who was going to take care of my hair. I found Crystal and could not be happier. She has been so accommodating to my scheduling needs and my hair always looks amazing, even weeks later :) She has been really great about making recommendations when I am feeling blah and need color guidance and I have never been disappointed. I think she is really reasonably priced, especially given the level of service. Give her a try, you won’t be sorry!
