Cenaduria de Candyland

This is a fantastic place. Food is really authentic. If you have never had lamb, try it here and you will never experience like this place. Good, good!

Cenaduria de Candyland is a straightforward tienda selling candy, soft drinks, phone cards, and some Mexican specialties including pan dulce, chamolladas (chamoyadas) and piñatas.
Owner Alfredo is a kind and helpful man with the enthusiasm of a Mexican Huell Howser. He bought the place seven years ago, and has built a steady neighborhood business relying solely on word of mouth referrals.
As the name suggests, La Cenaduria is also a place to find a meal. Through the week, its tiny kitchen provides «xxxlocos» (you name it), and on Saturday and Sunday mornings, the menu broadens to include antijitos and lamb dishes. The menu for weekend service is branded differently, using the name, «La Autentica Barbacoa de Borrego.»
Terrible parking and only six small tables. Share with close friends or come alone.
