How this place has over a four star rating is beyond comprehension. The tables, décor, chairs, etc … all worn out and obviously not in anyone’s mind to keep up the places appearance. So, there are some dives out there that don’t have a wow ambiance, but can turn out really good food. That is what I was expecting after we walked in. My wife, who is from South America and only been in the U. S for two years, was urging me to get up and leave … yes, worse than a 3rd world country is the feeling I am trying to convey. I convinced her to give it a try just so we’d know. I mean, there was a place on Culebra called Taco Nazo, and that gave off a similar impression, but had freaking awesome food and wonderful service. So, that being said, after approximately 10 – 15 minute wait, we finally got someones attention and ordered the Cheese Dip appetizer, and that is exactly what it says on the menu, but the waitress could simply not understand what I was saying, even while pointing at it on the menu. When it arrived, I laughed out loud. That is the cheese«sauce» you buy in a large can at Sams Club. For concession stands at high school foot ball games, I get it … but a restaurant serving this should have their license pulled. We ordered two of the Carne Asada Mini Tacos, the Texas plate, and a single Carne Asada«Mexicana» taco, to compare what that means to regular. The meat in all of the tacos was pathetic. Stale, tiny, burnt chunks of unrecognizable dark crumbles. It had no flavor at all except burnt oil from the grill. I think these are on par for the worst mini tacos I have ever had, and I have had many. The«Mexicana» version was just as bland. They simply added some onion, bell pepper, and tomato to the horrible meat. No seasoning of any type could be detected. On the Texas Plate, it had some carne guisada, two cheese enchiladas, rice and beans. The enchiladas were probably the only thing that were even close to being decent, but even then they don’t hold a candle to some of the other mexican restaurants nearby. The carne guisada meat was not so disappointing, but the sauce lacked any real flavor point. There was some hint of salt, tomatoes, and pepper flakes, but that a good carne guisada sauce does not make alone. And that was the theme on just about everything there. Cheapest low quality ingredients + No flavor to mask that deficiency. The service was pathetic as the food. I did get some good exercise swatting flies off of the food. But even with the work out, I feel my wallet was worked over the most. I am sure I was over charged since the above food plus two ice teas(never refilled) was over $ 40 without tip. The ticket was all chicken scratch and I had a feeling that someone who can under stand Cheese Dip, the first item on their own menu, was going to be able to have a meaningful discussion on the break down of the charges. So, we just paid, and left without bringing it up.

This places is delicious! They have some of the best Mexican food and their breakfast is the best meal of the day! Me and my boyfriend are regulars here. The staff is friendly and they are all quick to attend you. The portion they serve is more than enough. Tortillas are made fresh, orange juice is made fresh and this restaurant def has an authentic Mexican feel to it. It looks like a little hole in the wall restaurant but you won’t be disappointed!

This place has some delicious tacos. They fill them up completely unlike other places that barely stuff there tacos. The Orange juice is made fresh in house every morning, tastes delicious with the pulp. Our waitress coco is friendly, came back often to check on us and made our visit enjoyable.

We were looking for some local flavor and we were not disappointed. My beef fajita burrito was really good. My husband had beef enchilada and he really enjoyed them. Glad we came!

I returned to El Rodeo 3 for breakfast this past weekend… meh! My migas were bland and boring(did y’all hire a honky cook?!). The coffee was like smudge. I left disappointed and sad. Maybe stick to breakfast tacos? Otherwise, I’m only hitting this joint for lunch from now on… there are plenty of other breakfast taco offerings in SA. Service was still good!

The Micheladas are amazing! I would have to say I am an expert on Micheladas, I drink them and I make them. The key ingredient in this drink is LIME. Jalisco’s does it right! Don’t believe me?! Try one the next time you drop in.

I have been in search of great — but cheap — Mexican food since moving to San Antonio and have had a surprisingly difficult time finding it — after visiting taqueria after taqueria, the mediocre food was all starting to taste the same. Then I found this place. The restaurant is visible from 410 and completely nondescript; we went in entirely on a whim and were blown away by the food. The service was adequate and the food arrived quickly. The meat in every dish that we ordered was particularly delicious: tender, flavorful, and worth much more than the very reasonable prices. The serving size was generous and allowed for ample leftovers for the next day. I’m thrilled to have found this place(though my waistline might not feel the same way).

Extremely delicious resturant! I have had their Barbacoa taco’s, fajita taco’s, Nachos, Posole and much more! Tons of flavor and always friendly service. My husband and I eat here at least once a week! Between the 2 of us we spend less than $ 15 for 4 taco’s and 2 drinks. Tacos are stuffed and plates are huge! Come hungry and you will leave happy.
