Not sure what happened to the cracker barrel I knew and loved. Just my two year old and me, didn’t think I’d be waiting 45 minutes for our shared plate. At first glance, I remember the portions being a bit larger. My food was cold but the plate warm. It seemed half microwaved. When it was brought out the wait staff told me, «We have a new cook and he’s not that good, I’m sorry for the wait.» Wow, lowered expectations. This food was dry and not fresh at all. Only a few bites in and candles were being blown out, floors swept, and an uneasy feeling that I was not welcomed here. Almost as though they wanted to close; but still and hour and a half before 10pm. I guess my advice would be to avoid the late shift.

Sunday chicken is THEBEST! We go late to avoid the church crowds. Our servers are usually very attentive and friendly no matter who we get. I’ve made great friends with some of the staff here who we see regularly! The store has lots of charm as well. Really can’t get enough of Cracker Barrel.

Always a favorite for breakfast. I visit during dinner time and have breakfast. The hash brown casserole is a cheesy clump of delicious heaven and usually has to be ordered as an extra side to Mommas French Toast Breakfast. The staff is always super friendly and accomidating. It can be a little expensive and the wait at times can be a little much, but the food and experience has always been worth it.

First time my family has been here. Love the general store, and they’re magic with hash browns and grits! The blue cheese is as phenomenal as I remember!

Food is great. Price is about the same as ihop or Denny’s but quality is about 100% better. The compliant is the service. I’ve had waiter problems but the manager will always make it right.

All I wanted was just a loaf of bread but their process is inefficient. You have to get a waitress to ring it up for you. But you can’t pay while you wait. They make you wait in line after your bread comes. Very inefficient process. There should be scan bars on a piece of paper so you can pay while you are waiting. That would avoid waiting twice!

I gave it three stars because the food really wasn’t that good and wasn’t hot. The biscuit and corn bread before the meal was the best part! We had ok service but there were at least 4 other tables that had to wait for over 5 – 10 minutes before their server greeted them but others would come by and say oh I’ll get your server. Instead they should at least get their drinks. The place was clean but service and food could get a lot better! Enjoy!

Terrible experience at the register on my way out. The cashier Mota super rude and incompetent. I’ll expand my review later. The food is good and my waiter was excellent, but if I have to put up with attitude and incompetency at the time of paying my check? No thank you! There are are better places to eat.

The food is decent it really is but for my taste it is BLAND(the meat). This is coming from someone who survives on Indian, Mexican, Japanese, Turkish, Korean, authentic Chinese food. When I go I only get the veggie platter and it does the trick. Also you MUST go and get the candy sticks 8 for a $ 1. I love the clove, cinnamon and horehound! Their little store is probably the main reason I go there once every few years.

If I could rate no stars, I would. Three tables sat after Us And left before us. We didn’t have a server for the first 15 minutes. Drinks were much later. 43 minutes into sitting there, food was finally brought to us(all that wait for two pieces of fried chicken). The chicken was over cooked and batter was soaked. And finally a check was brought to us from apparently our server whom we had never seen. We were told to take our time to finish our meal… The worst part is I left hungry and had to go somewhere else to get more food. Very sad day at the Cracker Barrel!!! :(

This was by far the worst service I have ever received. Waited 5 minutes to be acknowledged while waiting to be seated. Didn’t get a server for 15 minutes. Food was horrible and cold. Waited 20 minutes just for silverware.

Fantastic meal. Both my dining companion & I had the halibut. Cooked perfectly. We had 6 different sides between the two of us and with one minor exception(carrots were a bit soft) each was great. Good meal. Good price. Worth doing again.

So Sister Aloha is in town and she’s got a hankering for fried okra. It’s 10 p.m. What to do? Run down to Cracker Barrel… that’s what we did. Here’s the good… the hostess seated us immediately, remember these guys serve breakfast the entire time they’re open. Jr ordered accordingly, scrambled eggs, turkey bacon(I know, kids?) and fruit parfait… everything prepared appropriately and served promptly. I opted for my standard beans & greens. I’m a farm girl… what can I say? Both flavor packed! Sista girl ordered a veggie plate – fried okra, mashed potatoes, butter beans(aka limas), and greens… we’re both farm girls. We sopped it all up with biscuits and corn muffins then washed it down with iced tea. We apologized to our server as we were the very last table and keeping him late… he was incredibly gracious and replied he was more than pleased to serve us. Win! Now the bad, the restaurant was a hovel. Every table was dirty. I counted 11 tables dirty in the dining room. I know it was the end of the evening, but damn. It’s tough to enjoy a meal when filth is all around you. Food was good, service was great, appearance was a fail. It’s Cracker Barrel, folks, not a box of chocolates… so you know exactly what you’re gonna get.

Had a gift card that our late father-in-law gave to us that went unused. Decided to have dinner. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server offered suggestions, but after seeing RIBS, I knew what I wanted. Wife decided on the ribeye. Ribs came out succulent, tender and fall-off-the-bone delicious. Wife’s ribeye was good, although a *bit* overcooked(she requested medium-rare…got more toward medium well). The buttermilk biscuits were heavenly… fluffy, light and dripping with buttery goodness. Sides: salad, potato were all excellently done. We dol like the CB at IH-10/Huebner, but were in the area of 410⁄151. We will return to this one.

I have never been here and left unhappy. Yes it’s carb over load, prob not good if you want 6 pack abs. But try the pancakes. They’re delicious! Amazing comfort food, I know it’s not a mom and pop shop but totally worth it. The staff is always so friendly and attentive. I recommend the Mac and cheese, the meatload, and chicken and dumplings.

So this was my first time here and I always had a hesitation about eating here because the type of food just doesn’t appeal to me but the gf said I should try it. First, once we were seated, it took ten minutes to for our waitress, Dora, to address us and take drink orders. Luckily we spent that time going through the menu and we ordered our food right after the drinks. Second, the drinks went empty, the waitress walked by three times with the pitcher of tea and never refilled them. Third, They brought out my plate and my gf’s was coming out shortly. Minutes later they say that they had mistakenly put it on the wrong table and went to the back to «heat it up». Couple mins later that come back and if that wasn’t enough, it was not even the right plate. She ordered a Chicken Fried Steak and they brought her a Chicken Fried Chicken. Overall, this was my first & last time coming here. Do not recommend. Also, Dora was my server and really shouldn’t be working here based on how slow and incompetent she is. I ended up not leaving a tip for her as she truly didn’t deserve it.

Waited 30 minutes to get a table, then another 30 to get my plate of biscuits and gravy. The plate was merely ok, it was decent but certainly not worth an hour’s wait. I got bacon with my plate when I had ordered sausage but I just let it go, I wasn’t about to send it back and wait another half hour. The folks at the table next to us were complaining they had sat down before us and were still not served and it was true. Basically this place is chaos, you’ll wait forever for merely average food. Yes it’s busy but seriously, how can it take 30 minutes to bring out biscuits and gravy? I don’t really get why people love this place, very unlikely I will return. Food was not awful but not worth the hassle.

Came here Sunday afternoon and of course it was busy. My boyfriend and I waited about 30 minutes which we didn’t mind to much because we like browsing the gift shop. Our waitress was nice and very talkative, as well as a few other waitresses. However, i wish she would have been honest with me about what I ordered. I usually always order breakfast no matter the time of day because it’s usually so good but I had decided to try something new. I got grilled chicken with green chills. I’m not really sure the name of it. Then I got mashed potatoes, green beans, and mac and cheese. When my plate came out it was literally like a plate full of grease. I’ve gotten those side dishes before and I’ve never even seen those greasy until I ordered with this chicken. I couldnt even eat half because I felt so sick. My boyfriend enjoyed his chicken fried steak though. I’ll probably give this location another shot but will never ever ever ever order that chicken ever again. Just stick to breakfast.

When you’re in the mood for old-timey comfort food, you can’t go wrong with Cracker Barrel. The servers are always friendly, and there’s something on the menu for everybody. And you can load up with old-fashioned stick candy on your way out. This particular location offers the same consistent quality as any other location, but getting in and out is a little tricky. I don’t think you can get to it directly from the highway – only from inside the Westover Marketplace shopping center. But it’s worth negotiating the roads. Check ‘em out!
