Amazing brunches with fabulous cocktails. A little on the pricey side but you pay for the atmosphere and hipster food. Fun place to take the girls after a Saturday night out!

Just walked up and you’re closed. You’re still set to close at 10pm, and I walked in at 9:30pm to find your staff argue with me with how slow you were outside of your establishment and why you needed to close early. It’s a Spurs night! People don’t move for the second half and your staff should of left some folks to anticipate that. Regardless of the business side, I wanted food and got attitude. Won’t come back!

There were many things I love about Bite! The restaurant is small and very cute. It’s décor is kind of misogynist though. The paper place mats had what appeared to be sexist ads from the 50’s. In the men’s restroom there is a picture of a naked woman and a TV playing the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. I don’t care much for that stuff, but otherwise it was super cute. The waiter was friendly and helpful! We liked him a lot. We ordered the duck leg, and something else that I don’t remember now(it was about a month ago). The duck was delicious. The second best duck I have had in San Antonio. The desserts were not the best ever, but they were good. Overall a very nice experience, I will come again and recommend you try it.

Wow this place was really good and in a hip part of town, SouthTown. I enjoyed the Mexican Shrimp cocktail, Lobster rolls and lamb cigar apps. For dinner, I had the special, Chicken cordon bleu… all was great, can’t wait to go back.

I’ve given this place a couple of chances. I like the food but for some reason they always mess up our orders and we get an unpleasant server. I like their Egg Benedict. My last visit I asked for a Salmon Benedict but got ham. Which I guess our server didn’t know the difference. I still ate it because honestly sending food back and having to wait even more wasn’t going to be worth it. Our server was clearly busy with the restaurant being 70% empty and telling his Friday night story to another server. I like their décor it’s interesting and like how you could sit outside on a nice day… If the servers were as attentive as the bussers I would be writing a completely different review. I’m glad I always carry a water bowl in my purse because he literally never refilled it. I really do like their Bloody Mary and their mimosas.

Fun, creative, and consistently delicious food. Service is always friendly and personable too. I prefer going to brunch over dinner because: –prices –outdoor seating is perfect for chilling with friends, reading, people watching the quickly evolving neighborhood –brunch specials are amazing and unique(see deep fried deviled eggs and the crab, crawfish, and avocado benedict) To make it perfect, I wish the dinner portions were larger and the cocktails more consistent. Sometimes the cocktails just don’t taste balanced. However, ordering the Bite mimosa is a must. Fun fact: Peep the scented/colored toilet paper in the bathroom while singing along with Adele.

Pros: Atmosphere, drinks were good, I love the presentation of the drinks & the snacks on their made good, tasty appetizers Cons: Small food selection, very small portions, overpriced, service was not impressive We went for brunch, their omelet was a little less than 15. I got their waffle, the portion was super small & it wasn’t very tasty… My husband got the French toast, it was meh nothing special at all. Then our friend’s daughter got a grilled cheese, she didn’t like it. For us three, our food with one mimosa, & one Bloody Mary was $ 70! If I went back it would most likely be for a drink then I’ll have food elsewhere … The lunch and dinner looked more appetizing but I would not recommend the breakfast at all

Read about this tiny place with 7 tables, and had to come! We liked it so much for dinner, that we came back the next day for brunch. The ambiance is super fun! Even the restrooms are funky with toilet paper in bright colors LOL!!! Service is excellent and the kitchen staff is very eager to please. For appetizers before dinner, we had the Crab Cake special, the Lamb Cigar, and the Lobster Spring Roll. Those were spectacular! For dinner I had Paella, my husband the Pork Butt Confit, and our son had the Tenderloin special. OMG!!! It couldn’t get any better, but then we had dessert. Churro a and a Brownie. Whaaaat!!! Honestly, creative and u unforgettable. To the point we came back for brunch the next morning. The French Toast is chewy and delicious, the Spanish Frittata in the small cast iron skillet, is to die for. The Bite Burger is HUGE! We had it with the funkiest Bloody Mary and Mimosa ever! We highly recommend this place!

Food: Our appetizers were really good. Lamb cigars(similar to egg rolls), crostini, and wontons were all very tasty. The spinach frittata was bland, the crab cakes comes with 2 crab cakes and are a bit small for the price, Beef Tenderloin Churrasco was very good and tender, and the waffles were good. Service: Carl is the manager and was our server and he does a good job. He is not super bubbly and I think people take him the wrong way because he’s not over the top friendly or smiley but he’s a nice man and does his job well. We had a very large group and I dont know if they liked that or not, there were many times our group felt like we were annoying/bothering their staff because they don’t really smile at anything or anybody, but overall we still had a good time. Atmosphere: Space is small, I think it only holds about 35 guests at a time. There are some outdoor tables available too. There is a small bar area and the décor is retro and colorful. Street parking only. No booster seats or high chairs available and no kid menu.

I’ve been to Bite several times and every time it’s been an awesome experience! The food is delicious and the service is great! I love everything on their menu! The crispy wonton goat cheese raviolis are amazing! I have to say, their Bananas Flambees is delicious! The presentation is awesome and you can definitely taste the alcohol(its not too strong). If you’re in Southtown and wondering«where should I go eat» I would recommend Bite. I haven’t had a chance to check out their brunch, I’ve heard great things, especially the build your own Bloody Mary bar :)

Delicious! For me this restaurant definitely lived up to the other positive reviews. I went here for dinner on Friday with a group of friends for Restaurant Week. The restaurant is small and can only sit 20 maybe 25 people max, so I would definitely recommend making a reservation. Servers were constantly circulating and I felt like the pace of the meal was very good. Having never had rabbit before, I was excited to try the rabbit fingers and frites appetizer. Honestly I thought the rabbit meat was chewy but I enjoyed the frites very much. Others at my table and I agreed that the rabbit fingers needed some sort of sauce with it. My boyfriend had the steamed artichoke with lemon basil aioli and mixed green salad, and said it was okay. The star of the meal for me was the grilled hangar steak with vegetables. It was perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned! I would definitely order this again. For dessert I tried the nutella cannoli(yum!) and my boyfriend had the strawberry gelato(also very good). Overall our meal was great. My only complaint would be that they added a 20% gratuity without letting us know up front for our group of six. Knowing this, I would still like to return for brunch or happy hour.

Smack in the middle of San Antonio’s cool Southtown district, we found this gem of a drink. Bite prides themselves on offering quality eats and cocktails, and their bloody mary is a damn work of art! Judging by the photos posted by other Unilocalers, it seems the garnish varies depending on what’s available but this was definitely the first bloody we’ve ever had to include a Cheeto and a Funyon. Stoner food aside, the drink was delicious.

Atmosphere is fantastic, music is great and food is delicious. I have been traveling around San Antonio trying brunch places and this one makes the top of the list so far. Prices are great and the dressing on the mimosas are original and fun!

Lobster salad(whole lobster tail) Serrano Ham and it was perfection. Steak Biscuit with Frites(real Frites) perfection. The service PERFECTION, the staff goes above and beyond. Very reasonable on prices with the quality of food and service. Love that they serve Brunch Sat. and Sunday and I highly recommend reservations. Pay attention to what is on the chalk board. We went to this swanky little place for Brunch on a Sunday. Normally you would think«eggs are eggs, breakfast is breakfast. Nothing special about Brunch» but NO! My husband and I both ordered specials not on the brunch menu, a sandwich and pan seared salmon. That breakfast sandwich was one of the best things to ever enter my mouth! Steak so tender it melted, bread(with the crust cut off) smeared in a delicious butter and herb sauce, bacon, fluffy eggs, tomato — it was to DIE for! My husbands salmon with roasted veggies and I think Polenta(sorry I dont remember…) he said was absolutely divine! The mimosa was fun($ 8.00). Came with some goofy snacks on it, a mini doughnut, a black raspberry, a sucker in the straw, a cookie(that was stale), fruit loops and I think a cinnamon gummy(I didnt eat it). This tiny little, somewhat crowded, place it so fun and bright. Make sure you check out the bathrooms also: p The only reason I didnt give a full five stars was service. Though the gentleman was nice, we had one guy for the food and another for the drinks(at least I think, thats all the second guy asked about). The first guy spent all his time talking to the«valued customers», as he referred to them, next to us, making us wait for a pretty excessive amount of time after we were done eating to be able to ask for our bill. He even brought the chef out to meet them, visited their table 3 different times asking if they needed anything else, all the while ignoring us, just sitting there, with empty plates.

Mmmm bite! I like I like, first visit today and I think you’ve gained a customer for a long while. Arrived a, little before 12 and was greeted immediately by whom I presume is the manager in a warm, friendly manner as if I was a lifetime patron. House music/electronic filled the air and the somewhat eclectic ambiance of the place that is no particular style of its own but rather a vast assortment of different tastes. But enough about the décor, my gf and I proceeded to look at the brunch and normal menu as well as their daily specials which all sounded amazing. Saw several items leaving the kitchen that looked super delish as well as the crazy drinks coming from the bar, but no alcohol for this morning. We settled on an asparagus tomato omlette and a spanish chorizo frittata. And also a cup of coffee. While we waited the brought out an amuse bouche of bacon wrapped brussel sprouts which were good, hard to have something not good when bacon is involved. After scarfing it down, and enjoying the coffee our food arrived, the omlette was delicious, moist, not overcooked and well seasoned. My frittata was amazing, the spanish chorizo was nicely salty, the hollandaise was nicely made, and the cheese was melted which to me as a big deal. All in all a fabulous meal, with no complaints from me. Only positives today, thank you Bite. Yours truly, A future regular

Bite restaurant gives you a bite, but not much more. Went here with the wife on a hot date, and we left a bit hungry. Portions here are small, but what the plates lacked in size they made up for with respectable flavor. We ordered the duck and salmon entrees with spinach risotto, the goat cheese ravioli as an appetizer, and I tried a clementine wheat brew. The entrees themselves were tasty, my one criticism of the risotto being its texture: globby versus pasty(the wife does not agree). The goat cheese ravioli seemed a waste of money, and my beer was warm but nonetheless a regional goody that I never tried while living near Boston. We left hungry(I repeat) and dropped about $ 60 but you know what? We will go back. This seems like a place worth revisiting. The pyromaniac inside of me wants to pay $ 8 for that flambé dessert, just to see the banana go aflame.

Place keep coming up in Unilocal as I was nearby for work while in San Antonio. Got this Andy Warhol bistro vibe to it. Friendly servicer and bartender. Had a working lunch in a Wednesday night. Even temp music, comfortably lit for ambiance/work and the food was yum! Had the salmon with spinach risotto. The salmon just melted. For dessert had the churro with vanilla ice cream. Yum but I’m spoiled by Churros in LA. See pic

Sensory explosion! Omg this place is my new favorite restaurant! Love the food, love the waiters, love the owner, cotton candy, a Girl Scout Samoa, marshmallows and lifesavers in my mimosa, pickled okra on my Bloody mary, and french toast appetizer was the bomb. Can’t wait for main meal. Oh and even the toilet paper pops with color. No detail left undone. Wow!

Seriously cannot say enough good things about this place! Right when you walk in the place is adorable! Themed from the seventies with a few up grades and some sex appeal, the over all atmosphere comes off very modern! The bartender and the server that helped us were so knowledgeable and friendly! They recommended the duck, and let me tell you it was amazing! Melt in your mouth kind of amazing! Angels came down from heaven to sing to my taste buds kind of amazing. AMAZING! We also had a bottle of wine! They have a pretty decent selection and their cocktails looked good too! I’ll have to try those next time! If you haven’t tried this place you definitely should!
