I had an appointment and when I arrived I was barely acknowledged. I stood there awkwardly with my friend, like should we start looking at dresses, should we stand here? After about 5 – 8 minutes Jenna finally acknowledged me. She asked my style and immediately started pulling dresses without asking about my budget. I liked a dress I tried on but I didn’t love it. In the shops defense, I had just tried on a dress at another bridal shop that I LOVED, but I felt nervous committing to it before seeing what else was out there. Ultimately I walked away from the dress at The Bride’s Shop because the store doesn’t allow you to take pictures and I couldn’t remember how I looked in it or the color.

Obvious things to note: It’s a small space and you need to make reservations. The price point begins at a thousand dollars which made it tough for my best friend who is a college student and has a smaller dress budget.
She was directed to only pick gowns from the sale rack which hovered between $ 800 to low $ 1,000’s. They were all gorgeous. All designer. And once we left she stated how uncomfortable she felt during the whole experience. It was silent with a tense sort of energy. You’re not allowed to take photos. And she didn’t realize she’d need to undress in front of the store employee. I know it’s standard for a bridal shop not to allow photos but there wasn’t anything that really made it feel like a first class experience either in the service or with the environment. After this experience, my friend swore off wedding shops in favor of a website.

The staff here is SO kind! If you can get an appointment here do it. My stylist was Georgia! And she was such a sweetheart! Made me feel so comfortable! Everyone is so professional and the store is so clean and neat! Amazing experience! Recommend it to everyone!

I spent some time at The Bride’s Shop this past weekend helping a friend find her dream wedding dress. I was thoroughly impressed with the variety and selection at this «small» shop. More impressive was the individual service and attention. My bride certainly enjoyed this experience most of all that day. She felt special and focused on. The dresses were beautiful and reasonably priced compared to other things we saw that day. We left to go to other appointments, but were back before they closed! The right dress was there and the atmosphere couldn’t be matched anywhere else. Thank you Bride’s Shop for making dress shopping the best day ever!

I went to the Bride’s Shop a couple weeks ago to shop for my wedding dress. As a non-​Mormon shopping in Salt Lake, I was worried I wouldn’t find many non «temple-​ready» dresses, but the Bride’s Shop had lots of beautiful options for brides looking for strapless dresses as well. They also have lots of dresses available for under $ 1,000, if you aren’t willing to spend a fortune on a dress. The shop is very cute and nice and Taylor was so great. They had no problem with me coming in later in the day to try on my dress again before I made a final decision. I can’t wait to wear my dress! Highly recommend the Bride’s Shop to anyone shopping in the Salt Lake area.

Visiting The Bride’s Shop was truly the highlight of dress shopping for my sister. By appointment only, we were seen to promptly. Our attendant treated my sister like royalty, taking cues (even silent ones) like a true professional. She offered so many helpful suggestions, even showing her what to do with her hands in order to have the most flattering silhouette.
Dresses start around $ 1000. Though they seem to have a smaller selection than some, they can alter and customize the dress to become exactly what you want.

The manager was the nicest, most helpful – going the extra mile for us even with a low-​budget bride. It was pleasantly surprised by the number of low-​cost dresses (one as low as $ 199) and her candor. I’d definitely come back for myself or others!

What a fun shop! Jenna, who helped me, was absolutely phenomenal. She went above and beyond to make me feel like a princess and to help me find THE dress. She took the time to let me try on what seemed like every single dress in the store, while weighing the pros and cons of each dress. She managed show me how they could alter each dress I tried to be temple ready. I didn’t feel pressured to buy a more expensive dress, or to even buy at all.

Chic and sophisticated staff, beautiful variety of dresses and beautiful location. I had been here helping a friend get her dress years ago and remembered the experience as great, but now I know firsthand, that all these years later they are still fabulous!
The first time I got married, I was living in NYC and had a luxury wedding boutique, service and dress, and boy did I pay a premium for that. I was preparing myself to lower my expectations. I cannot say enough about the great selection, beautiful shop and, best of all extremely effective and charming staff! Jenna picked the best dresses for me and the first one was the one! Bravo!
Add into the story that I am eloping and need something fast! Not a problem, the seamstress was right on hand to speak about fitting the sample to me and will work quickly. Another bonus, they have a tasteful selection of costume jewelry and I am all set. I feel so happy and lucky!

My husband and I planned our wedding in only 5 short weeks! Several bridal shops wouldn’t even book an appt with me because they said they couldn’t get a dress in time. The Bride’s Shop was the 3^rd one I went to, they had the smallest selection of the 3 but by far the prettiest and most unique dresses. I remembered one of my best friends finding her dress there. My dress was also on sale! The staff was great! What I was the most impressed with was their seamstress. There was a lot of work to be done because it was several sizes too big and I needed straps added, which wasnt easy with the design and beading of the dress. BUT, she had my dress done and perfectly fitted on me within 4 days! Everywhere else told me it would be tight to get it done in time! Sharon was THE BEST!!!

Phenomenal experience. You make an appointment, and you’re the only bride there. The service is customized to your needs. The dress selection is elegant, classic, timeless. And the staff couldn’t be more pleasant.
Price-​wise it was extremely competitive. It was probably 1.5−2 times what you’d spend at say David’s Bridal, but easily a third of what you’d spend at say Alta Moda.
I found THE dress, the first one I tried on. Just for comparison I went to David’s. I was so disappointed by the experience. It felt like a cattle call of women. And many of the dresses I’d be worried about getting too close to an open flame.
Next I tried Bridal Expressions in Sandy because they also carried my dress brand. Just to see if they would have other similar options. It was awful. Teenagers running the shop. Didn’t help me pick out, carry or try on any of the dresses. A million other customers trying anything from bridal gowns to pageant gowns to dance costumes in a very small area. But the price of the dress was the same. Just came with next to no customer service!
If you want a special, competent, appropriately priced dress with top notch service… Go to The Bride’s Shop!

Absolutely heartbreaking experience
I found a $ 1300 Pronovias dress of my dreams and received a $ 600 Atelier Diagonal dress instead. It didn’t even have a Pronovias label. I brought that dress in and compared it to my dress and they werent even the same dress. I spoke with the store owner who said that because they are under new management there is nothing that they can do! My problem is yet to be resolved. I will never forget my heartbreaking experience here, this caused so many problems, I didn’t have time to purchase another dress. I saved up for so long to purchase this dream dress and was completely devastated to have a cheap china replica. I will never forget what happened to me and my wedding dress and hope that no one will have to experience this. I filed a claims with the BBB and the Brides Shop was unwilling to resolve this matter. I can’t explain how deeply hurt I felt after all this happened, how could a little boutique do something like this my memories of my dream wedding dress are forever tarnished.

The best selection of wedding gowns in Utah if you want to avoid the typical hideous Mormon wedding dress. The seamstress does simply amazing work. The owner is fabulous to work with.
