Had ordered from here for a year and half, since moving to Salem, at least once a week. After receiving the latest order, a far undercooked and cold chicken Parmesan calzone, I will not order here again. The quality of food has dropped recently and after calling to complain we were told ‘you complain everyday’. I guess business is doing so well that they feel the need to lose a customer. Beware before ordering and know if you complain you will not be helped, but rather be insulted. Oh and on top of that, the delivery driver showed up with no change, not a huge deal to give extra for a tip. I just don’t like tipping extra for bad food and worse service.

Its been 8 years. Time for an update. We ordered from here a few times and have been disappointed. The guys that answers the phone and takes the order sound like he is high on something. How many times he keeps asking me «You want cheese with that?» It was annoying to keep repeating myself and I had doubts that the order was going to be correct. The food is average to below. Not my favorite in Salem.

Food is normally good but service is horrible. Employees don’t know what they are doing. I waited 45 min for a salad that they couldn’t find until I demanded my $ back. I AMSODONEWITHINCOMPETENCE.

I have only been here once but I loved it. I went on a Monday for their $ 5.99 large cheese pizza special. The crust with nice buttery and crispy. The cheese was stringy and not the processed kind and the sauce tasted like it was made is the shop. I will definitely go here again.

The food is consistent and delicious! Deliveries are prompt and I find the staff to be friendly enough. If you like Greek pizza shops, Salem House is a top pick! The reason I can’t give 5 stars, the shop itself is a bit dated.

Ordered from Them last night. Greek style pan pizza, but it was good. Not stingy with the cheese at all and honestly sometimes I like a Greek pizza. Got a chicken Greek salad, the 5.99 large cheese pizza special and some chicken fingers… Chicken was kinda overcooked and the feta was a bit light on the salad but it was OK. Also would be nice if they didn’t use just iceberg in it, I like a few mixed greens in there but that’s just me… Pizza was a great deal for 6 bucks, and the fingers were fair, homemade but kinda tasteless. Try double dipping them guys and seasoning them a little more, you’ll get more yield and a bigger crunchier finger… All In all… Very satisfied.

I was born and raised in Salem and my folks used to get pizza here every Friday. It was great back then. I stopped going a long time ago because the pizza became disgusting, the greasiest in town. I tried it again recently it’s just as bad, just as greasy and I couldn’t even finish the small cheese I ordered. The only reason it gets 2 stars is the family that owns it are incredibly friendly and nice, it’s clean and prices are good, but all that doesn’t matter if you can’t eat the food. Amore Pizza on 28 is where to go for good Greek Pizza in Salem.

I went in there one night just before closing. I was on my motorcycle and was cold — so I needed a late night place to eat something and warm up. The staff was still very kind and I «NEVER» felt rushed even thought I decided to eat there and like I said it was about closing time. I ordered a steak and cheese and I loved it… While I was waiting for my food — I heard staff working on a special request pasta dish made by a customer… The guy behind the counter was very kind and willing to please his customers. I would go hear again in a heart-beat. Hopefully, the customer service is always as good.

Great greek style pizza. Just the way a pizza should be done. Crispy crust. I would love to try all the other things on the menu but the pizza alone is just so good.

This is a popular pizza & subs place in Salem, which is now under new ownership. I stopped for lunch at Salem House of Pizza over the weekend. This place is pretty popular since it was very busy with plenty of customers here and the phone could be heard ringing constantly. I ordered a Chicken BLT Sub and a cold 20 oz bottle of Canada Dry and they honored the $ 5.99 special coupon for the large sub & soda in the printed menu. The sub was all set in about 10 minutes. The sub was overstuffed with breaded chicken tenders, shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, thick strips of bacon, and mayo on a baked sub roll, but the chicken tenders and bacon were very chewy to eat, needing to break the pieces of meat apart by hand. I prefer my bacon strips on the thin side, yet still juicy. The sub was filling and did taste pretty good.

You know how some places, as soon as you taste a bite of their food, you know it came from there? Salem House of Pizza is like that. Their pizza has a really strong identity – it couldn’t come from any other place. Salem House’s pizza is a thick thin crust. Let me explain – it’s a thin crust pie, but it has some of the thickest, buttery-est thin crust I’ve ever tasted. Don’t think about it too hard or you’ll get sucked into the thin-thick crust continuum. Anyway, it’s good. It’s not quite my thing, but I can’t deny it’s tasty. And it makes this into very filling pizza. I like the sauce and toppings here, but I would definitely prefer a more traditional thin crust. Subs are good here too; solid, standard, unremarkable. I recommend getting your order for carry-out. Salem House does have seating, but it’s a traditional grimy New England pizza place. Go kick back at home with your pizza and some beers instead.

Not to be begrudge the place too much for a single visit. But when there are 4 employees and the place isn’t hoping crazy, you would think they could get a order for one single sub correct. But they didn’t. The place did look cleaner than most typical sub pizza subs. As for the sub, it was fair, I’ve had better, and I’ve had worse.

I’ve been going to this place for years and really loved it but after today I won’t be back. Ordered a small Italian with the works extra toasted for pick up. Got back to my office and they had given me the wrong sub. When I called they apologized and told me they had my sub there. I explained that I didn’t want a cold or reheated sub and asked them to remake it. When I went back I asked again if they had remade the sub and they said yes. Got back to the office sure enough they had just reheated the old sub. Giovanni’s and Romano’s are just a bit further up the road and one of them will be getting my business from now on.

The pizza is SOGOOD! And you can buy it by the slice for around $ 3… a slice is about ¼ the size of a whole pizza. The subs are great, too. The also have garden or Greek salad. This is a back to basics shop. but they do what they do very well. They have good cannolis too!
