I really enjoyed the pizza and salad. They have a great menu and the service was quick.

Pizza is usually good. Delivery is HORRIBLE! On several over the last few years, I have ordered delivery. An hour later, no pizza. I call them, and they always say«it is on its way». 20 minutes later, still no pizza. I call back, they apologize, tell me it just left, and give me a 50% discount. Somebody is not telling the truth. How hard is it to deliver a pizza? Other places do it just fine…

Very good NY style pie. I order mine with light cheese. We St. Louisans tend to overcheese a pizza. Stop in for a slice. Yes, they serve by the slice. Get on it!

Number one, there are better pizza options in the area than here. Nothing special about the pizza here. Number two, the customer service is terrible. I ordered a pizza over the phone and the guy on the other end was very short with me and rude. It took about 45 minutes for them to finish the pizza, not worth the wait. Do not bother going here until they get more decent help behind the counter and clean up their act

The pizza is very good and the closest to New York style pizza that I have found so far in Missouri(been looking for 6 months). I had the Racanelli sandwich and it was also very good. My problem is with their delivery. The first time I ordered for delivery I had to call and see where my food was after 45 minutes. They told me the driver had taken off with the pizzas on the roof and they had fallen to the ground so they would have to be remade. I had guests over and we were starving. About another 45 minutes later they showed up with pizzas marked for a different address and no apology. Rancanellis should have offered some type of discount or thrown in a free pizza… Something but we got nothing. I decided to try again and ordered tonight. It took 55 minutes, the food was lukewarm and they did not bring the dressing I requested. I am very disappointed but gave 3 stars because the food tasted pretty good.

Veggie slice was a piece of already cooked cheese pizza with raw onions, green peppers and mushrooms on top. I do not recommend, unless you like that. The garlic knots are always yummy. Not particularly clean and the rap music blaring out of the kitchen was a little weird. My husband had the pepperoni sausage calzone which he thought was good.

Food used to be good here a long time ago and the service used to be poor. Now they’re just both poor. 20 minute wait for a flavorless lukewarm sandwich drowning in sauce? Nah, I’m good.

I’m originally from New York and I will tell you if you close your eyes you think your eating a pie from your childhood. By far the best pizza in St. Louis and the owner is great.

I have been here several times and I have never been disappointed. The counter service has always been good, the quality of the pizza is great. I had picked up a Sicilian Pizza not long ago; it definitely reminded me of home(I originally am from New Jersey). Everything was just right(I almost forgot how hefty they can be, too). My wife has had the Stromboli in the past and she really likes it. Personally, I have never had a problem with any of their items. I will continue to return as I have definitely become a fan of the establishment.

Pizza and Ravioli were delivered cold… Unacceptable to pay inflated prices for food delivery that requires heating up!

We have been very disappointed after our last couple visits. Pizza was very soggy but charred, salad lettuce was brown and the soap dispenser in the bathroom was broke. Which is scary because how do the employees wash their hands!!! All of the employees were eating back by in the kitchen while preparing the food. We wont be back.

This place has the best pizza crust our family has found. I’ve never been a cheese pizza fan but the crust and sauce make the addition of just cheese the perfect finishing touch. Fabulous food!

Very over priced the pizza is light on topping and is often more charred than I care for.

Great pizza. Hands down best in st louis for new York style. Best part is the sauce. Price is too high but coupons exist on line.

This is one of my favorite pizza places in St. Louis. It is all hand made and soooo good. My husband loves the cheeseburger pizza, while I am a fan of the tomato basil. Also, Racanelli’s uses mozzarella cheese; not the shiny, salty provel cheese.

Best NY pizza in MO. The service is definitely slow. The waitstaff is fairly young which could explain that. They should train them better. In my opinion, the stromboli’s crust is too much like a calzone crust. Stormboli crust should be thinner and more flexible. Taste is good though.

Great food, slow service, waitress did not know her own menu, When they brought food they asked if we wanted plates, we said yes, they never came back, had to go back up to front to ask for plates. Food presentation was great, but carbonated ice tea? Food great Service not so great Next time I will call in for a pickup.

I love love LOVE Racanelli’s! The service isn’t amazing, but it’s adequate. The food is a good price and the atmosphere is also good. But here’s why I love the place: the food is amazing!!! The pizzas are HUGE and delicious! The salads and options for sides are also amazingly delicious! We love eating here after church and I’ve never been disappointed. When I went to college right next door, I used to pop into Racanelli’s at least once a week. You are not going to find any people that’s been than Racanelli’s!

Fuggedabadit! Friggen awful… big NY Style Empire State Building awful. St. Louis, if this is it for NY style pizza then we are in deep doo-doo, or Imo’s officially is blackballing anything non provel, and cracker thin(I love Imo’s though). Here’s a story about an over cooked/disgusting pizza, my time, a dysfunctionally run pizza business, and the biggest WTF? I have ever experienced. 6:28PM — My Kitchen Hey, Racanelli’s says they’re some good mootzarrella(speaking in NY tongue), lets give them a shot. I haven’t had a good slice of pizza since I was at Streets of NY in AZ, or NYPD Pizza… there’s some good Pizza! I figured if AZ has it, St. Louis should knock it outta da park. Minga! I couldn’t be more wrong in my entire life!!! Here’s the time line… PS, the person on the phone said it would take 45 – 60 minutes… A little long, but typical Pizza. Hey why not, I’m a wiseguy, I can handle the wait. 7:28PM, hey I guess they got busy and it’s gonna be here any minute now. I guess I’ll do some bicep curls, or something, maybe some sit ups because hey. I’m a guido at heart! 7:45 Wholly cow! These guys still aren’t here. This ain’t good. I don’t like to wait this long… Wise guy or not, this is absurd. I’ll call them to make sure there wasn’t a problem with my card, or address. 7:48PM — Phone Call — Looking out front window Pizza Kid — Thank you for calling Racanelli’s… yadda yadda yadda. Me — Yeah, it’s been an hour 15 and my pie isn’t here. What gives? Pizza Kid — Uh yeah uh, well there are no more deliveries here so your pizza is on the way. Me — Ok then tough guy, I’ll keep myself on ice for a few minutes longer.(Actually I just said thanks, and bye) Wife — WTF Snap out of it! I’m hungry you funzanoon! Me — Hey honey relax, the kid said it will be here, and I trust this kid. This is a good kid! Wife — Mi fai shchifo!(spits on the floor) 8:00 — Phone Call… Over an hour and 30 I am bright red, and ready to drive down to Racanelli’s and make the pizza myself. Pizza Girl — Hi blah blah blah Pizza St. Charles. Me — Hey Put your manager on the phone. Pizza Girl — Uh sir, yeah we don’t have one. Me — So you don’t have a boss? Everybody’s gotta boss. Pizza Girl — Uh yeah well I mean uh um, yeah uh he won’t be in until Wednesday. Me — So your boss won’t be in until Wednesday? So there is no manager, or anything working at your store?(See dysfunctional business) Pizza Girl — Well I’m a closer Me — Oh well, I feel better. Amazing! I gotta closer on the friggen phone. Fantastic. So, my pie, it’s been over an hour 30. What’s the deal? Pizza Girl — Uh well the driver had to take 3 deliveries so it should be there eventually. Me — Is my pizza gonna be cold? Pizza Girl — No Me — An hour and 30 is a very long time Pizza Girl — Did I take your order? Me — I don’t know Pizza Girl — Well the girl should have told you it was going to take an hour 30 not 45 — 1 hour. We only have one driver. Me — Ok. Bye(wait what kind of pizza place has one driver?) 8:08PM — Me, furious, brick oven style furious! Yes, on phone!!! Pizza Girl — Satans Pizza, St. Charles Me — It’s been almost 2 hours, cancel my order. Pizza Girl — Are you sure Me — Are you serious(Read her riot act and told her that Racanelli’s should be embarrassed to run their business this way) Pizza Girl — Ok I am taking it off. Me — Calling your manager on Wednesday. Pizza Girl — I’ll let him know Me —(To myself) I’m sure he or she will even give a rats ass. Long story short(Too late) the pizza arrives, and the driver who I tell to leave comes back with and offers to give me the pizza for free. Now I have a free pizza which some people would be somewhat happy about. Not me, this thing was gross. Cold, cheese was hard as a rock, and not stringy like the mootz should be. Bottom of the pizza was burnt and awful. Top of the pizza was burnt and orange… Snookie orange! I have posted photo’s for proof. PS. Racanelli’s STC… my trashcan loved it! Moral of the story. Again, if you have bad service you will get bad reviews. Do not let a customer sit there after an hour 30 for Pizza. Do not send a driver on 3 deliveries with pizza. No matter how good the warmer is, mozzarella will harden and become the consistency of fake vomit. Is being a business owner really this complicated? Service first, and average or better product = Win. Bad Service, and any quality product = Lose. Also, in my years of working in a restaurant, we always had a manager. One main guy, and two assistant managers. This was at small places, and big places as well. Bigger places had a GM… that was the only difference. Please St. Louis Metro Area business, stop disappointing. In this economy you need to earn my money, and Racanelli’s racked up a bad review, and won’t be racking it up with my money. Racanelli’s? more like RaccaNOlli’s, Hackanelli’s Yuckanelli’s, Blahkanelli’s, etc.
