Food here is actually decent but it’s so damn smoky you’ll walk out with a killer headache. The other guy said probably a deal breaker. I’ll say definitely. I like the place but I can’t go there because of the smell.

I love coming here for trivia night and ladies night. Cheap drinks and for bar food it’s above average. The wings are pretty great and the blue cheese dressing is some of the best. All though it’s a smoking establishment I come early enough and leave early so I avoid a large smoke screen. Still like to see it non smoking.

I’ve been coming here for a while, and I really like the entire concept. Good food, competitive drink prices, good service, and a local pub feel. It deserves 6 stars!

Binfords has always had great food, but the place is really slipping. I don’t think they’ve made one improvement to anything in the entire bar since it opened. I know the bathroom has the same old signs and advertisiments that have been there, and been vandalized, for years. The place is so unbelievably smoky that you can’t even enjoy your food anymore. I had to immediately wash my clothes after a few hours of watching football. The crowd seems to be getting older and«rougher» all the time. The place needs a face lift and at the least some ventilation. It’s turning into a gross, smoky dive.

The wife and I made a stop in here last week for the first time. We were out looking for a decent meal, and thanks to Unilocal reviews, Binford’s got the green light. I’m new to the Unilocal world, but I made myself one promise coming in and I am about to break that promise. I want to give places a fair shot, make a few visits, and then give my impression. However, this experience taught me a good lesson, first impressions are a big deal. So I am revising my promise. I will do a first impression review, but I will commit to returning regardless of my first experience, because one bad night shouldn’t kill a restaurant. Overall, I think Binford’s is set up to be a great place to eat. There is outdoor seating, live entertainment on the weekends, and honestly the bar has a nice feel to it. The food was actually pretty good as well. Unilocal reviews suggested the salads were pretty good, so I ordered one up, along with some queso nachos and a burger. I cannot comment on the salad, because we never received it. It did, however, find its way onto my ticket, which is huge for me. I can forgive the salad, because I confused the waitress regarding the meal. Apparently you can substitute side salad for the fries, and the waitress assumed when I ordered the salad, that this was my intention. I tried to correct her on this, telling her I still wanted the fries. When the salad didn’t come out, I assumed she had gotten confused and I put it off to my own error. «Next time,» I said to myself. Seeing the salad plainly on my ticket when it came disappointed me. The second peeve of mine was receiving my queso nachos at the same time my wife received her entrée.(and no salad!) When the server started to walk away, she asked if we needed anything else, and I informed her I had a burger and a salad that was supposed to be coming. She left, and another server returned with the burger, but no salad. As far as the rest of the experience, the food I did get was very good. The AmberBock was cold and delicious. The servers were nice, if not in each others way. One took our order, another brought out the food, another checked on us, all before the first returned with our ticket. It seemed to me they were too eager to help each other out, and they were not in synch, which probably led to the rest of the problems. I am a nice guy, I got the salad removed from the ticket, I left my tip, albeit smaller than may usual 20−25%, and I walked out feeling like I would give this place a second chance. This review isn’t even meant to be a bad omen to future first timers. I prefer to let it serve more as a fair warning that there may be some server issues, but the food is good. The people are all friendly. I actually enjoyed my meal despite the hiccups. Three stars thanks to shaky service issues, and a promise to return to allow for redemption. There’s room for improvement here, so hopefully the next visit brings me back to the review box on their Unilocal profile!

Friendly, personable wait staff, food served piping hot and delicious. Great menu and awesome specials. Definitely plan on becoming a regular. Smoker and biker friendly, so, less likely to be overrun by the«tragically uptight».

I’m not a Bar and Grill expert but my recent(and first visit) experience at Binfords impressed me. A group I am with wanted to go there for a live band entertainment and dancing. As a co-leader, I decided to give Binfords a heads up that there may be 25 of us coming and if we could somewhat reserve an area for us. I did not expect such a warm reception on the phone from Alice and the rest of the staff. A friendly, professional voice from a Bar and Grill? From a Bar and Grill in St Peters? Not only were there tables reserved and marked appropriately, the staff were the best I’ve encountered! Friendly. Attentive. Smart. From a B&G in St Peters? Well, the food must be mediocre. Not! The food rivals Appleby’s or Ruby Tuesday! It wasn’t until I needed to use the restroom and walked past the other part of the establish that I noticed some patrons smoking. But I did not smell or detected cigarette smoke? Their ventilation was that good. I got home and did not smell 2nd hand smoke on my clothes. From a bar in St Peters, Missouri? I grew up in California. My expectations for a Bar and Grill in St Charles County may be below par. But, Binfords, I commend you for having an overall classy establishment! Now I understand why the group wanted to go there so much that evening.

I want to start this review with telling you that I am pretty much addicted to good food. That being said, Saint Peters is not the easiest place to find good food in(unless we are talking about Jack in the Box tacos…) However, to my surprise, this is my favorite place to eat in the area(I grew up here and came back all through out college and whenever I visit, this is my first and only real choice of a place to eat). The food is just good. The salad is worth ordering! And you probably want to split it between two people. The pizza is good and definitely true to STL style pizza. The appetizers are all good and the staff is very nice. This was the one place I had to go to before I moved out of Missouri. The only downside is that they only serve STL beers and I just love KC Boulevard… but I will drink a shocktop if that means that I can have some quick good food!

Pros: Cheap drinks w/nightly drink specials(Wed/Thurs ladies drink ½ off), full grill menu, plenty of bar stools, arcade/bar games, lots of TVs throughout restaurant Cons: Bar attracts loads of cigarette smokers(non-smokers beware), slow/inpersonal service, food was average(I had boneless chicken wings and the pizza… both of which were below par for area bar/grills), small outdoor patio that overlooks major road. Overall: A disappointing bar/grill in the area. Many other options to choose from that offer better food, better service, and at least sections reserved for those that don’t smoke.
