I have been going to Dr. Toy since 1996. As a another review stated the staff are very friendly, they know you by name and remember you. I never have felt like a number as the service is personal and friendly. I have never felt better cared for at my eye doctor as Dr. Toy will personally call to follow up to make sure that everything is good. One insurance company mandates the use of the lab owned by the INSURANCE company. The doctors staff is so meticulous in reviewing glasses before they leave the office they found poor quality the lab work and returned the glasses! They did this three times until the lab finally got it right and my glasses were perfect. Each time the office called and apolgized for the delay so I was aware of where my prescription was. I was extremely impressed of the detail and customer service(a lesson the insurnance lab should learn as the cause of the problem). Dr. Toy, Arelne, and staff are more like dear friends so as long as Doctor is in practice I am a patient for life.

I have been going to Dr. Toy since I was a little kid. I cannot stress how amazing Dr. Toy and his entire staff are. They accept most insurance, they even took medical when I was a kid(not sure if they still do this now). Of course they also take cash. You will not be disappointed with Dr. Toy. Objective reasons why I like Dr Toy and staff. Staff: Super friendly and helpful staff. Always friendly, they always return my calls and even recognize my voice on the phone! They don’t overbook appointments and I never have to wait long before being seen. Location is easy to find, right off the freeway with plenty of parking. Frame: Small selection of frames, but they are updated very regularly. Got myself a nice pair of vogue glasses recently. I always felt comfortable and of the medical places I go I love optometry the most(i’m scared of the dentist and I’m ok with my regular doctor). Mission for you visit Dr. Toy’s office. FINDTHETWOIDENTICALPENMAN. I have been staring at that poster for years and I can’t find the identical penman. I one find the pair one day.

I’ve been going to Dr. Toy for over 25 years. He has the most wonderful and friendly staff. He is very thorough and is great on not pushing me to upgrade every year my glasses if not needed. If you are looking for a family eye doctor., I would feel comfortable in going to him.

Dr. Henny Toy is a great guy with a friendly staff. He takes time to talk to you and makes sure your contacts are the proper fitment. He seems to care about his patients unlike other ones I’ve had in the past.

I love Dr. Toy! He had been my optometrist for years and years before I moved to San Francisco. He is such a nice guy who will bend over backwards to help you out. Case in point: I went to Hawaii on vacation and brought only one pair of contact lenses. Of course, one of them pops out while at the beach and became lost forever. It has been quite a few years since I visited Dr. Toy since I see Dr. Lem in SF now. Unfortunately, I only had a prescription for glasses with Dr. Lem and my prescription for contacts was with Dr. Toy. Anyway, so I went to Costco in Hawaii to get replacement contact lenses and found out that Costco requires a prescription faxed from your optometrist. I was out of luck with my current optometrist, so on a whim, I called Dr. Toy. Even though my prescription with him was over a year old, he faxed a renewal prescription to Costco anyway. ANDHE’S NOTEVENMYOPTOMETRISTANYMORE! If not for Dr. Toy, I would have had to go about squinting and trying not to look crazy with one eye open. The moral of the story is to always bring 2 pairs of contacts with you on vacation and also, to pay a visit to Dr. Toy. However, I’m not sure what the prices for frames are since insurance always paid for mine. Dr. Toy is also a graduate of UC Berkeley, which is the best school ever. So. Yeah.
