Used eat 24 to have sushi delivered. Ordered 7 rolls with delivery fee and tip it was 120.00 bucks. Was good. not the best I’ve had. Diving 7 rolls between 4 people we all had 13 pieces my teen son was still hungry(this doesn’t happen at beluga) Overall was good. If I was being lazy and wanted sushi delivered I’d order again. most rolls were between 10 and 13 each.

I love this restaurant. My friend and I go to Tao for a great massage and then Origami for lunch and have never ever been disappointed. Our server is usually the same sweet lady, and she knows us. The food is wonderful. They usually even have Uni(not always though). I have never had a complaint about Origami and would recommend it to everyone!

Definitely a lost treasure, Origami is a great spot and close to home. The Bob Marley Roll was amazing… definitely a favorite! We also had the Rainbow and Vegeten Roll which were very tasty. Free miso soup with purchase and the Gyoza was the best I’ve had! Server was smiling and genuine and they even give you origami paper to make while you wait. Coming back!

We met the new owner today & she’s very amicable! Love what they did to the place — little little upgrades that make the difference. The food is GREAT as always! And service was pleasantly fast.

Ambience was great. Food portions were not that great. I ordered the spider roll and it was«meh» compared to other sushi locations in round rock and Austin. Service was not stellar. Waitress forgot to bring out Sriracha sauce and food took quite a bit to come out.

Considering we paid about $ 50 for a carry out order, this was nowhere near to expectations. Yes, the sushi was pretty good, about what you expect from HEB, but my wife’s ramen had a strange flavor, and the beef was bad. I’m sure you know that smell, when a piece of beef starts turning, and it has the sour smell, and acidic, spoiled flavor. That was our beef. The only bright note was the tempura veggies/shrimp. But two pieces of shrimp and three pieces of vegetables cooked to perfection is not worth what we paid. Next time, we’ll pass.

I went to this place because the reviews were good. But honestly, it’s the WORST sushi I ever had. I ordered the dragon roll, and the stuffing was just rice, what the hell? And also, I ordered the spider roll, just the crab in the inside. They really don’t know how to make sushi. I had to show them pictures of what they’re supposed to look like. They need to update their menu. I don’t recommend this place at all. You’re better off buying sushi at the grocery store.

go here for lunch some times and I like this place very much. Try out their yummy box at lunch. It has variety of small portion food on bento box. Place– clean and good place to take a date Staff– very friendly Price– little expensive but not too expensive. Food– Very good I recommend yummy box for lunch. But sushi is fresh and their Udon(noodle soup) is good too. Must try beef tataki and pork katsu don

I found the fish to be fresh and the atmosphere to be lovely. I use to live in LA but now that I’m in Round Rock this is my go to place when I need that sushi fix.

Went here for lunch for first time. Enjoyed ramen and my wife and neice had box lunch specials. Nice traditional atmosphere. Pleaseant staff. Free eggrolls with Unilocal check-in. Would return for ramen. Great lunch!

Very quiet little place but the sushi was fantastic and the server was very attentive and nice. We got the Tiger roll, Texas roll, Spicy tuna and the shrimp avocado(?) appetizer. Definitely will go back again!

This was my first time in this establishment, as well as my first time eating Japanese cuisine. I went on Unilocal to find a ramen house and thanks to the great Unilocalers before me, this establishment had great reviews! My family and I came here yesterday(9÷7÷15) to celebrate my birthday and I must say we were all pleased with the food, employees, and overall experience. I arrived first, to check it out and see what we were in treat for. The gentleman who sat me at the table was more than happy to explain how the ordering process worked and went into detail on some of the sushi they offered. My mother arrived next, and once again, our waiter was right there to answer any questions she had regarding the menu and the day’s special. Once we picked our first round of sushi, we were even more excited to see them make it! We ordered the Bob Marley, and it was GREAT! My brother and his significant other arrived shortly after our sushi arrived and once more, the waiter was at the table to assist them with any questions regarding the menu. Overall, the food was awesome, the wait staff was informative, and the setting of the restaurant was perfect for our small family gathering. I can’t wait to return with my boys and spouse for their first experience here!

I’ve had many different ramen shops here in Austin and this, in my opinion, is the closest to authentic ramen. It reminds me alot of Japan, though nothing will ever be the same as the real thing. The shoyu ramen is delicious! Food can be a little pricey but will not drain your wallet. I’ve heard the sushi is amazing as well, but I personally don’t eat it so I can’t recommend it through experience. The atmosphere is comforting and the Japanese staff is very friendly. Give this place a try! If you’re a sushi /ramen lover, you wont be sorry you came.

When searching for a Japanese restaurant to make my sushi cravings fulfilled, while at the same time satisfying my family’s needs for noodles, I came across Origami Japanese Cuisine on Unilocal. The reviews seemed promising and the menu was to my liking. When we walked in, it was smaller than I had expected, but it was very nicely organized with tables and booths to the left and on the right something peculiar that I had never seen. At this restaurant, they had traditional style seating to where you could basically sit on the floor while your feet would dangle into slit in the ground, however the waitress had told me that was usually for dinners so we had to sit in the booth. For the most part the sushi was mediocre; it was not the best, but it was nicely prepared and presented. For the noodles, I was not a fan. They were a bit bland and needed more flavor or at least a kick, but of course my little brother still locked it clean(besides the mushrooms that he refused to taste). I give it three stars because the service was nice, but the food was not impressive. They did give us cute little origami figures and lollipops at the end of our meal, which is a bonus for the kids. I will say I plan to come back maybe for a dinner portion and because I want to sit in the traditional Chinese seating!

Good place. We had sushi between my wife and I. They have what seem to be good deals for the kids, however our plate came out messed up, with only noodles and no chicken. Chicken came out separate. Not a huge deal… things happen and the girl was working hard and always polite. We had the Bob Marley roll(excellent), the rainbow roll(excellent), and the Spider roll(good). In addition I ordered two pieces of Unagi. I was not impressed at all with the Unagi! Overall this was a good experience however I was disappointed in a lack of unique rolls. My wife loves rolls, and if I am going to eat them I want something with a little character. Still have to say that Mikado is my favorite. P. S. Don’t bother getting coffee. No cream and the bottoms of the cup was filled with grounds. :-x So the verdict in the end is that this place is just fine. Not the best, not the worst, maybe a goldilocks of Sushi restaurants around this area.

A perennial mistake many people make is to assume sushi and sashimi are the be-all end-all of Japanese cuisine. There are actually better places for sushi in Austin so that’s not really why I’d recommend you to come here: rather, the more traditional Japanese dishes(freshwater eel or mackerel bowls, sukiyaki, et cetera) are where Origami really shines. Another consideration is the service level: there is one particular waitress who seems to pop up in multiple reviews of this restaurant(anyone who comes here knows who I’m talking about) and she is absolutely the sweetest, most helpful lady, especially if you are in dire need of practicing your Japanese language skills. Now, if only they had okonomiyaki on the menu, then they’d be just about perfect. As far as Round Rock goes, though … this is close enough.

This place is an authentic Japanese restaurant and the wait staff is really friendly! I love how they greet you in Japanese! They also have little tables in the back where you can take off your shoes and sit on the floor for a «traditional» Japanese style dinning experience. I’ve had ramen, gyudon, and sushi here. I think the best thing to get here is sashimi or gyudon. I am not a big fan of their sushi because I thought the rice was a bit hard, but the eel roll was pretty good! The gyudon was delicious and so was the ramen! If you check in here you can get a free order of eggrolls! Overall, it is a nice place for a casual Japanese meal!

I rounded up because the hostess was very nice and the server made the order right. The good deserves 2 stars. The rolls were drenched in sauce and were quite expensive for what they were. We ate and left full but it wasn’t that yummy sushi full. We live very close so when I saw a Groupon I thought, «let’s try it» but we won’t go back.
