I came here for a quick lunch with my father after seeing the great reviews on Unilocal. We came in around 12:30pm and only one family was dining in, which seemed strange to me. We went up to the counter where you place your order and ordered two tacos each. I chose a pastor taco and a bistec taco and my father ordered a beef fajita taco and a pastor taco as well. The other family had already received their food, so I’m not sure why it took fifteen minutes to receive our four tacos. While we waited, I perused the rest of their menu and saw they offer quite a variety of things, both simple taco shop fare and more restaurant-type plates. My tacos were delicious! The pastor was my favorite and the bistec was fine. They give you one large tortilla regardless of whether or not you choose flour or corn, so two tacos was enough for me. They also have salsas that are adequately labeled. I believe I have quite a high tolerance for spicy, so I tried their extra spicy salsa and my tongue was on FIRE. It is definitely not for the faint of heart. I would return, but not before trying out some more places around here!

Convenience, timing, and all around good tasting food. I had an event in Round Rock that needed breakfast for over 200 people so trying to find a place to accommodate us was a little stressful but luckily, I found Del Sol Taqueria. I called 2 weeks before the event to find out if they were able to make 250 tacos at 7:30am on a weekend. The lady didn’t even think twice about it. The price was great and she called me the day before my pickup to confirm the order. When I arrived, they had all 250 tacos, pre-filled salsa containers and utensils boxed up and ready to. Who would have thought tacos could be so heavy? They helped load my car up and I was off to my event. Tacos all tasted great and everyone loved them! Will definitely use them again next year.

Looking for a place to get tacos on the way home from Austin and this hit the spot. Friendly service and filling plates. Can you get better tacos elsewhere? Probably so, but this place has no line on a Sunday morning, and we enjoyed the relaxed, casual vibe.

I have tried this restaurant once for lunch and gotten breakfast tacos once. If I could give partial stars I would give them just over 3 for value. For lunch I ordered a carne guisada and overall I thought it was a good meal. It had a fair amount of meat which is always a plus and it was very tender. It also came with rice, beans, and a couple of avocado slices and your choice of corn or flour tortillas. I opted for flour. The plate cost around $ 9.00 and you could easily make 3 good sized tacos and have meat to spare which I thought was a great value. Being someone that is always looking for a protein packed meal, I’ll be back for this at some point. Too bad they aren’t open for dinner. The breakfast tacos which other helpers seem to rave about, I thought were very average. People on Unilocal keep talking about homemade tortillas. The tortillas are definitely better than a Rudy’s taco, but the tortilla is not what you would get with a homemade tortilla at Valentina’s food truck. I was expecting more of a manteca loaded tortilla that melts in your mouth. I tried a chorizo and egg and a sausage and egg taco. They were both decent and again for the price I would get them again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get them.

Very good tasty food, not Tex-mex, but Mexican! Cleanness wise I wish they could make improvements. Since food is fresh and price is reasonable I will definitely go back and suggest others. I went to Rosas café and did not enjoy as much as I did here.

Came in here one morning. Wanted 2 breakfast tacos to go. Lady at counter said it will take 5 minutes. Actually took 20 minutes. For tacos? Jesus. Place looked dirty. Smelled weird. Mostly day laborer clientele looking at me like I don’t belong there. Should have listened to myself to leave. Got my order. Went to my car. Was about to take a bite and saw a bug in my food. WTF? See the pictures for proof. I only give a restaurant one chance to win me over. This one got on my nerves. No offer to refund. No offer to replace order. No explanation. Nothing. Nobody knows any English except 1 person. When I showed them my order they start talking in Spanish only. I have gotten sick before(gastroenteritis) from Mexican taco places and had to be hospitalized. Non stop vomiting. Couldn’t eat or drink anything. So you understand where I’m coming from. I swear to God this is the last time I have a taco. I don’t give restaurants another chance especially the ones that !@#$ up really bad. It seems like they don’t care about about hygiene and sanitation. I know it’s hard to keep a restaurant clean and there’s a 1% chance that a customer gets sick from them not doing their job. But I don’t want to be that 1%. They need the Health Department to do a surprise inspection. Seriously. It probably is great food… most of the time. But I’m not coming back to this !@#$ hole again. Negative 5 stars.

The sauces were phenomenal. Like literally ethereal. You can tell whoever is making them(for sure, from scratch) knows exactly what they’re doing. There was super fresh pico de gallo, and 2 mild sauces, 2 medium sauces, 2 hot ones and 2XX hot ones. They also had fresh whole grilled jalapenos on the bar. I had a chorizo, egg, cheese, and potato taco and an Al Pastor Taco. They were both expertly crafted. The chorizo said it was homemade which made me want to try it. I typically find it super greasy but this one was not at all. Very delicious. My husband had the migas plate and added beef fajita meat on the side. Typically that meat is flavorful but chewy. This was flavorful, tender and delicious. The beans were incredible. I’d order them as my food — that’s how good they were. The potatoes that accompanied the beans on the Migas plate were cooked well and not greasy at all. We were enjoying our lunch so much that we forgot it was time to pick up our son from school so I left my husband and baby there to finish and went to pick up our son. When he came inside he licked my husband’s bean fork and proclaimed — I want more now please! He’s 3. He had his full lunch at school and still gobbled up a bean and cheese taco because it was so good. I’m thrilled to have discovered this place but sad that it took us this long. We will be back very soon! They’re only open till 3.

(#95)…Whoop, Whoop… We may make the 100 mark by the end of the year, and a great find this was… Shout out to Shannon B… You put the bread crumbs out and had to follow… Actually our First place we have ever ate at that was counter service… Dont judge, wife really like the table side service and Hey… So do I… But Wow. this was so worth it… Place it small, yet Very clean, friendly and ready to serve… LOVE the salsa bar… How many places have a selection like this… Not very many, and if they do… How good are they… Fresh, Fresh and Fresh… Umm…did I mention Spicy… BOOM…a couple of the salsas should have warnings on them, as I shoveled them in my mouth…“You Took To Much” the wife says, and yes, yes I did… but I recover, and yet can stop eating it… The red, Dark looking one… Wife was hooked on the Habanero«orange» sauce… sweet, yet spicy… And On to the main dish… Coming out on plastic style plates, these are impressive when they hit the table… And you cant beat the«Bang for Your Buck» value… wife hit the Beef Chiladas and I hit the chicken… Both of us dove into awesomeness… Green sauce was tart/spicy, just like it was supposed to be… Red sauce, was a bit weak for the wifes taste, but the beef was good… I never, ever comment on the rice, but Hmmm… was really good, moist and… Well Good… Small kernels was the catch on this one… it had some texture too it, yet not hard and crunchy… OHH and the beans, those lovey beans… Super good, that is All… wish they had Charro too, but I can live these… Wished we would have ordered a side of fresh made tortillas, but we will be Back for sure… Breakfast looks amazing!

Breakfast tacos, people. It’s all about the amazing breakfast tacos at the family-friendly Del Sol Taqueria. And the homemade tortillas straight from the hands of angels. And the assorted tasty salsas you put on said tacos. And maybe the generous plates of made-to-order deliciousness with which you can create your own breakfast tacos. Both corn and flour tortillas are being expertly patted out by hand behind the counter, a lovely sound to hear while you’re awaiting your order. Soft and fluffy(even the corn!), you’ll want to just gorge on these until you pop. Complimentary tortilla chips become available at 11a, something you’ll want to stick around for if you enjoy savoring that sweet, slow burn of 6 progressively spicy salsa options. Each sauce has its own flavor profile and serves a different purpose. FYI, that light creamy-looking green one is NOT made of avocados, it’s simply jalapeños, garlic, salt, and emulsified oil — similar to the Doña sauce that made a certain Austin-area taco chain famous. The creamy orange one is something similar, but made with habanero — pretty sure that one is my favorite. My only request for improvement would be to add some escabeche(pickled veggies) to the salsa bar, but that’s a nitpick. Yes, they have some lunch-ish items like enchiladas and what-not, but if you order only that, you are missing out! Read the other glowing reviews(very few of which are from gueras like me) and you’ll see that the majority of praise comes for the breakfast items and ala carte tacos. At the least, you must try the migas plate(crisp tortilla bits perfectly incorporated and the right egg to other ratio) and the bistec ala Mexicana(tender, with no gristle!), with double orders of both corn and flour tortillas on the side so that you can fully experience taco nirvana. Bonus points if you add in a barbacoa side. Can’t talk. Eating. Mmmm-mmmmm… P. S. If some of your group members have terrible palates(I’m looking at you, 9 year old son), they can always fall back to the more bland quesadilla, nachos, nuggets, and burgers part of the menu. Those poor, unfortunate souls.

Had the chicharrón roja burrito. First bite I knew this was going to be our new Mexican spot in RR. The salsas where really good and packed with flavor. Service was quick and friendly. My bae bae had the flautas and boy was that a great choice. The chicken was stewed and still moist. They where perfect.

This migas here are some of the best I’ve ever had. I brought some home for dinner, next thing I know my room mate is heading out the door to go get some of her own(cause I’m certainly not sharing!) Fish tacos is another of my favorites off the menu. The open salsa bar has a wonderful selection of fresh salsas. If you’re a white girl like me, the avocado salsa verde will have you doing the Jarabe Tapatio before you know it.

We went here for the first time since it became del Sol. Our tacos barely had any meat in the tacos and the tacos wernt even full. The tortillas were different but tasted good. My barbacoa taco was big but had to much grease and not enough flavor. Not packed at all clean inside and not sure if we will be coming back.

While out and about shopping today my husband and I wanted really good Mexican food. So, I seen this restaurant had 5 stars. Regardless of the appearance I thought the food would be better. I ordered a cheese and onion enchilada, rice, beans and beef taco. The enchilada tasted like a cheap waxy goo, the rice was stuck together, taco beef was dry and beans were thick, with no taste. Far from 5 stars to me. I highly recommend to keep on driving.

Another coupon from the Community Impact magazine bites the dust, they let you try new places for less, this particular one got you one free taco if you buy 2. My wife had the sausage, egg and cheese and i went with 2 chorizo, egg and cheese, all of which were on homemade tortillas, i had one flour and one corn… good stuff! They have a nice assortment on their little salsa/condiments bar… had a senior moment and forgot to take a pic of it, but i did post a few others. They have salsas of 3 or 4 different heat levels and they’re well marked, and pico de gallo.

This is a no nonsense, satisfying, authentic Mexican Taqueria. Their food is consistently good and well made. They make both corn and flour tortillas in house! It’s not fancy but the food is what counts. I have been here 4 times this week because I just can’t get enough. The beans are expertly seasoned and keep me coming back. I especially enjoy the migas. The menudo is delicious. If you like tacos de tripas, they do an awesome job! They opened not too long ago. This used to be a different taqueria that I was sad to see go but I’m happy with the new establishment.
