I have to say, pleasantly surprised. I was sick and at home and really just wanted some soup. Most of the places nearby I have had in the past have ok soup but I wanted to see if I had any better options. I ordered some dumplings some soup and a order of Pad Thai. The dumplings were REALLY good, the soup was ok but the Pad Thai was AMAZING and huge portion. The single«dish» was probably enough to be family style. All and all, really great experience. Also want to through a kudos out to the delivery guys. Food was hot and fresh as I would expect it to be if I were at a table in the restaurant.

We have tried the Tofu in black bean sauce and the eggplant in garlic sauce. They are terrific and absolutely satisfying. Big portions, the right amount of spice and a lot of tofu and vegetables.

We went to Bo Asian Bistro last week after looking for a substitute Asian restaurant for Din Ho(crazy, I know!). It was prime dinnertime and we didn’t want to wait in a lengthy line for Din Ho so we took to Unilocal for other places in the area. Bo Asian Bistro is not Chinese BBQ but does offer a plethora of choices, and with another reviewer saying that it replaced Din Ho for *them* after moving to the area, we decided to give it a go. First let me say, take a moment and evaluate your level of hunger. Don’t be fooled by other Asian restaurants and their sparse platings. Bo Asian Bistro piles food onto the plate. This is your standard family-style dining experience, which we did not know, so we ordered three entrees(THREE!) and could barely make a dent in any of them before getting some boxes. The pork fried rice is delicious. There are large chunks of pork and the rice has very good flavor. I highly recommend this. The beef lo mein has a thick-ish sauce which was not my favorite. It tasted good and wasn’t gloopy or anything like that, but it’s different than what I’m used to and after a while I decided it’s too different. The orange chicken had good flavor but it was my husband’s dish and I didn’t really eat that(the beef lo mein was mine, the pork fried rice was ours). There is a $ 2 add-on option to any entrée to get a cup of soup, a vegetable egg roll, and some pineapple chunks. We added this on to one of the entrees and opted for the hot and sour soup, which was delicious. The vegetable egg roll was crisp but not my favorite, and the pineapple chunks seemed to be canned sugar-free if that’s your thing. Service was attentive and there wasn’t a line, which was a bonus. We’re glad we stopped in to try it out, and I imagine we’ll include Bo Asian Bistro in our Chinese restaurant rotation. We just won’t order so much next time!

My first time at Bo’s, and the food and the dining room were a mismatch for me. The food was outstanding. My server was great. However, dining room looks like a cafeteria or mall food court. The TV was set to Family Feud, but the sound was turned down in order to hear a Taylor Swift song playing in the kitchen. The next time I come here, and there WILL be a next time, I’ll get takeout.

Being a pregnant woman you know you have cravings… I not only had to wait over an hour for my food… After opening up my food I find hair in my Cream puffs… I immediately called & Spoke to Ann only for her to tell me that the manager wouldn’t be in for another hour… So, I was instructed to call back… I waited & Leo still wasn’t in later… Finally about 20 minutes later Leo calls me back to inquire about what was going on… I tell him what had happened & he says«Well we can make you a new order of puffs & get them out to you»…I said I don’t want a new order… Finding hair in my food has turned my stomach & that’s what you are telling me… So, then he says well I can put you on our Credit list & the next time you order your cream puffs are credited… Leo all I can say is Thanks for your concern of me finding hair in my food… I won’t be ordering from you no time soon…

The better place for Chinese place in round rock that has consistency, I can only think of one other place in RR that is just as good. Love the lo mein!

I’m surprised I haven’t received this place already, but was compelled to check and make sure tonight. I have eaten at Bo for over 5 years now, and it is easily one of the most consistent restaurants I have ever been to. I can’t think of a single time I have been disappointed in the quality of the food. The worst sin they have ever committed is forgetting sweet and sour sauce for my sweet and sour chicken — once. Other than that, I literally can’t name a time I’ve been disappointed. Specifics — The food is great. Doesn’t matter what I’ve had — and I’ve had a lot — it’s always good. Some of my favorites are the Triple Crown, Mongolian Beef, General Tso’s, and Sweet and Sour Chicken. Service is always very good. We get delivery more often than we go, but it’s always very good when we go. We go often for lunch as well — food is delivered extremely quickly and is always good. The place is clean as can be. In fact, if I had any complaints when we visit, is that it smells TOO clean — the smell of cleaner is fairly strong. But, that’s much better than the alternative. With delivery, it’s always very good and they virtually never forget anything. It arrives as quickly as can be expected. The one thing I would mention here is that we’ve stopped getting the steamed dumplings delivered because they sit in the box too long and aren’t great when they arrive — something I think is pretty impossible to fix. If you want dumplings delivered, get pan fried. Obviously, I highly recommend this place. If you’re in the Round Rock area and want Asian food, this is the best option I’ve found in my 6+ years here.

I ordered take out from here since my typical go to Chinese /Asian inspired restaurant is closed on Sunday’s. The Round Rock Chinese food scene is overall pretty terrible, except for my go to Asian/Burrito fusion joint down the street. The restaurant was clean and the gentleman at the take out counter was very friendly and accommodating. The food portions were huge and very reasonably priced. But… that’s where the good ends. The general tso’s chicken was very mushy. Huge pieces of dark meat with chewy fat and tendons. Sauce was good. Overall was difficult to eat. The fried rice was not fried at all. Very dry and mushy. Over cooked rice steamed with soy sauce and scrambled eggs. Zero flavor other than soy and MSG. The Lo mein was overly salty. The beef was very very chewy and not edible. Noodles were fresh made and good. Very few vegetables. The egg rolls were drowning in grease, not crispy, and over cooked. The best part of the meal was the free fried noodles, duck sauce, and Chinese mustard. 2 stars just for the cleanliness of the restaurant and how damn nice the guy at the front counter was. Food– negative 1 star.

Ordered shrimp fried rice and what I received was nothing close to it. It was weird tasting rice with a splash of brown sauce with a some shrimp. I had to pay $ 2 for extra shrimp and would hate to see how many you get regularly. The hot n sour soup tastes«old» and was not like I was expecting from soups I had tasted previously. My order was take out and I guess they figure they can serve you whatever they want because they don’t have to look you in the eyes. $ 25 for shrimp fried rice and two hot n sour soups. Not worth it at all. !!

This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant on this side of town. I ranted and raved and I felt it was a disappointment. Not a complete fail, I’m still giving them 4 stars. I just feel the quality of the food has gone down and the service isn’t as friendly as it used to be.

Was looking for Chinese food and decided to give this place a try based on the reviews. And the fact that I saw crispy shrimp egg rolls. Not gonna pass that up! So yes, the egg rolls were delicious. I mean they’re basically shrimp tempura in egg roll form. What’s not to love? I ordered the sesame chicken, and it was eh. The broccoli was practically non-existent, and the few pieces that were in there were not very good. The chicken itself was OK. The sauce was good, but the breading was kinda mushy, almost like there was too much of it. It wasn’t the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had, but it certainly wasn’t the best. My boyfriend got the beef with broccoli, and he said it was pretty good. I didn’t try it, but to me beef with broccoli seems pretty hard to mess up. I’ll probably give this place another shot at some point, at the very least to get those shrimp egg rolls!

1 star for taste 1 star for quality 1 star for portion size 1 star for options Although my first time at Bo Asian Bistro was a take out, I am bet I will be back again when I am in the mood for some Chinese Food. I found this place on Unilocal and even though there were some negative reviews, overall it sounded pretty good. I called in for my order around 5:30 on Wednesday expecting it to take around 30 – 45 mins but was surprised when the guy on the phone said about 15 mins. I walked into the restaurant 15 mins later and there one one other person in there but my food was bagged and ready to go. Within minutes, I was out of there, food in hand and ready to eat. The bag had to weigh between 5 – 10 pounds and I’m not even exaggerating here(maybe a little but it was heavy). I ordered a the Combination Fried Rice and the Triple Crown. Out the door, the total was $ 23 and worth every penny. Both dishes were massive. I am still shocked they were able to close either of the boxes. Both dishes came with a ton of protein. The Triple Crown was filled compleltly with Shrimp, Chicken, Beef, and Veggies and then in a separate box, had a full plate of fried rice. I can easily say the two meals ordered is enough food for 6 – 8 people. Glad I found this place!

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite american Chinese food spot. One of the biggest problems I’ve had since moving to austin from the northeast is the difference in american Chinese food — its just not the same. This place, comes mighty close. The prices are great for the portions you receive. It good be argued that its almost too much food. My favorite dish is the crispy beef. It really reminds me of home. The beef has just the right amount of crunch and the dark sauce is to die for. The fried rice is dark — something you don’t see very much in this area. Its wonderful in flavor without being to heavy handed and overwhelming your dish. The $ 2 add on is worth it just for the hot and sour soup. Finally a place where it doesn’t have the consistency of gelatinous ooze. Its just right and has the right amount of heat. The egg roll? Meh. I’ve just accepted that all egg rolls in the Austin just plain suck. If you’ve only lived in Austin or migrated from California then this won’t be the Chinese you are used to so leave your expectations at the door. Also, if you expected authentic Chinese from a shopping center in Round Rock. Im just not sure how to help you. This is American Chinese — a cuisine all its own with its own history. Love it for what it is rather than comparing it to whats its not.

I decided to order from this place after receiving a menu at my apartment. We placed our order online, which was convenient which was to be ordered by Eat24hours. What was cool about this was that you could check the status of your order at any time and get an update from the restaurant. When the order arrived we were amazed by the amount of food — and it was all really good! The Mandarin style crispy beef had a nice kick of spice and came with fried rice as well and the combination lo mein was made with the spaghetti style noodles with large shrimp and plenty of beef and chicken included. The prices were really reasonable given the amount of food — this is probably about three meals for two adults. I’ll be really sad when I move out if their delivery area in the future but will take advantage in the meantime!

I wanted to like this more! The cream cheese puffs are way too sweet for me. :( The fried rice I got last night was borderline burned and crunchy — - THATWASBAD! However, the sesame beef and sweet and sour chicken were great. I really wanted the rice but not when it is dark brown and burned.

This is my favorite, go to Chinese place in Round Rock! We haven’t eaten in the restaurant and have always gotten delivery. Orders go through Eat 24. Both times we got our food within 30 – 45 minutes. The estimate given is 60 – 75 minutes so it was a nice surprise when we got our food earlier! The first time we ordered I got Pork Fried rice and egg drop soup. Hubby got Kung Pao Chicken with white rice. OMG there was SO much food! I had leftover rice for sure. What I ate didn’t even look like I put a dent into it. The second time we ordered I got the Triple Crown which is a combination of Shrimp, Chicken, Steak and veggies. Hubby got the Kung Pao Beef with fried rice. Since I was hungry this day I ordered a 4 piece Cream Cheese Puff. With all of this we were eligible for free items but we opted not to get them because we knew there was going to be so much food. Everything arrives packed so nicely, no spills and the food is piping hot! All the food is seasoned nicely and has great flavor. The sauces are a great compliment to the dishes we’ve gotten. When it says it’s spicy, there’s definitely a kick. I’m so glad that we discovered Bo Asian Bistro. We’ll need to go to the restaurant and try everything there.
