Another great meal this AM at Kenna’s ! By far best bang of buck breakfast in town. Friendly staff, cozy room, just a great place to eat. Thanks guys! Maddy

Went in with high hopes, but have to give this place a 3 star rating. Whenever I drive by it seems busy… and now I am not so sure why. Plenty of parking on either side of the diner. Upon entrance you are taken to a whole other era. We’re taking 50’s here, but I like that aspect. Also I noticed the cute black and white family photos on the wall. They were modern which did not necessarily go with the retro vibe, but its a family-run diner so I get it. Anyhow, a waitress that was behind the counter told us to «Seat yourself», so we did. She followed promptly with menus and wanted to start us with drinks. I decided on a simple grilled cheese with bacon, $ 6. It comes with a pickle spear and a bag of chips. I don’t necessarily want be to picky about this sandwich, but the cheese was sparse and did not make it to the edges of the bread. My coworker ordered the«Honeymoon soup» which is a take on Italian Wedding soup with a Tomato base. The report on that is that it is pretty good and worth the try. The $ 8 Caesar Salad with chicken was a disaster all-around. Not only is it super small in size, they used a honey mustard dressing. Not sure if this was a mistake or the normal here, but its just not right. Its missing all of fixings to make it a caesar. I didn’t notice bacon or parmesan cheese. Our waitress was an older woman and very sweet. I asked her what her favorite Kenna’s foods were and she was happy to help by making several recommendations. Overall: Food was mediocre. Service was good. Vibe is retro. Prices are decent.

Great breakfast spot! The weekday $ 3.49 two eggs, potatoes, meet and toast special can’t be beat. Service is excellent and the coffee keeps pouring!

The food and service was excellent! It was a little pricey just to get bacon and eggs but other than that it was a great time!!!

Great food! Great wait staff. Tired of not being able to her my wife across the table from me because the cooks find it needy to have to sit in the middle of the diner yelling the conversation for the whole world to hear. Third week in a row for me. I have been going here since it was Margies, but it might be time for a new place. Also you should get real hair nets for the cooks. Those dingy labatts hats have seen better days.

Recommend by a few people we know, so we were actually fairly excited to try it out. We recently moved into the neighbourhood and are looking for a local place to be our go-to. We were unfortunately disappointed. The staff were very pleasant, but food was mediocre and service was extremely slow. Not sure if we caught them at a bad time. Seemed like a bunch of tables were cashing out at the same time, but it really should not take 10 minutes to get our orders taken.

Kenna’s used to be called Margie’s until relatively recently and was by far one of my favorite go-to joints for breakfast or brunch on the weekends. Margie finally retired and her grandkids took over(I believe that’s the story), and what used to be a ridiculously amazing breakfast bistro has turned into one that’s just average. I would definitely say it’s better than Denny’s, and it was recently renovated(ish) when it changed names, but the food quality seems to have dropped a little bit too. There was some turnover of wait and cook staff it seems, and it definitely has affected the food. It’s not as good as it used to be, but most of the time I promise you won’t complain. Occasionally they’ll have a special where you can get 2 eggs, chili, hash browns, and toast, and if you do that, I highly recommend getting 2 fried or poached eggs with it. Just crack the egg yolk over the chili and let it run into the hash underneath. It is totally divine and unforgettable. When they get it right, they knock it out of the park(and you will be too!)

Want to love this place as it’s quite possibly the last local biz in sprawl-torn Henrietta, NY. But they seem to have lost their way from grandmas original philosophy of quality food and service. Cold, personality-less wait staff and mediocre food. It’s really too bad.

I used to go here a lot when it was«Margies», since then the quality has seemed to slightly decline & although a name change, just doesn’t feel like the same place. There is VERY limited seating and it gets very busy pretty early.

A cute little place with a retro vibe(dig those wood panels), Kenna’s offers up homemade diner favorites at reasonable prices. And big portions. They point out on the menu that they might not be super fast, but that is because they make their food fresh and with care. …well, I’ll take their word for it. The food is pretty good. One thing to note is that they do not serve anything but breakfast on Sunday, although some basic dishes(like a BLT) might be available. Since it was Sunday when we visited, we did indeed end up getting breakfast. I ordered a combination platter that came with bacon, eggs, pancakes, and hashbrowns. The bacon and eggs were great, and the pancakes very soft and chewy. The hashbrowns meanwhile were good, and the portion huge, but they were overcooked for my tastes, almost to the point of being burnt. If you, like me, prefer your shredded potatoes a light golden brown, this might be worth specifying. Service is a high point here. Our waitress was an elderly and very nice lady who was happy to help and make recommendations, and also very quick with the coffee pot. …which for a caffeine addict like myself, is always a good thing. Definitely a place to keep in mind for filling staple dishes at a decent price.

Kenna’s is located in what once once Margie’s Restaurant. I work right down the street, so when we go out for breakfast, we usually go to Kenna’s. Seeing as there are no shortage of breakfast joints in Henrietta, so that is saying something. Pretty standard breakfast joint offerings. The food is very good, the omelets are large and fillings are generous. The pancakes are good. The stuffed pancakes were really interesting — the sausage was mixed in with the batter I really liked them. Prices are very reasonable. Very friendly and attentive servers. Plenty of parking in a private lot.
