Several years ago my husband made the wonderful choice of purchasing my engagement ring at The Gem Lab. The location is small and quiet but they help you customize and make jewelry exactly how you wish. They are very careful about skin allergies and sensitivities and know how to make a diamond look beautiful and sparking. We also purchased our wedding bands here and they came out wonderful and my band compliments the engagement ring perfectly. I come back at least every 6 months to have my rings polished and they look good as new(Included when you purchase the rings here). I have never made an appointment just walked in and they were able to help me. Staff has always been helpful, courteous and friendly when I have stopped in. Pricing seems reasonable and fair and they really seem to care about making their customers happy.

My wife and I have been going to the Gem Lab for many years and have always been pleased with the customer service and knowledge of the personnel. It helps me out tremendously that their computer knows what I’ve purchased in the past so that any new gifts are complimentary to previous items and definitely not duplicates(although gold and diamonds are never out of fashion). i brought a travel clock in thinking it was broken and it was just a battery problem(byw, they don’t do watch repairs, but will recommend a watchmaker). While I was waiting for the clock, four salespeople asked if I needed help with anything, so it must be that in a small store they can be overwhelmed with customers at times, but try their best to please. I think their prices are competitive and there always seems to be something new to buy. They do custom work too and are expert at jewelry repairs. I think that since they have been in business for so long shows overwhelming customer satisfaction.

Went in with a fairly simple r see quest and was told they lacked the skill to make it happen. Who the neck do they have working here? You also dont get to talk to a jeweler but a salesperson who ferries your half understood requeat back and forth. Skip this relic and heads towards peoples lottery. They are a million times better in every regard.

Ooh… Better not arrive too close to the end of the business day; you won’t be able to shop there. They need to be clearer about that when customers inquire. We arrived there about 10 minutes before closing only to be shooed out the door.

My finance’s family has been going to this jeweler for a very long time and never had anything bad to say about it-so naturally they recommended this jeweler to him to purchase my engagement ring. My engagement ring is beautiful and is perfect for me, but I have had issues with it. It was sized way bigger than what my fiancée ordered it in, so I had to get it sized down… twice. Over the summer, i noticed that my ring had become loose. I looked closely at it and my ring was actually broken! The ring part itself had separated itself from the diamond in the middle. I went to a jeweler in NYC to have that fixed. They said it was an issue with the initial casting of the ring-so I know it had nothing to do with my re-sizing the ring. We went back over Christmas to look at wedding bands. We had a woman help us that was either very nervous, or new. or both. My fiancée had a general idea of what he wanted, but needed to see his options. Instead of listening to what styles he wanted, the woman simply took out every single wedding band and asked him to choose one. When it was my turn to look at rings, i already knew what I wanted. My fiancée told me that they had a wedding band that matched my engagement ring perfectly, and that’s what I wanted. I just wanted to see what it looked like on my finger. They didn’t have the wedding band in the show case, and just showed it to me in a magazine. I disappointed that I couldn’t try it on, but as long as it matched-I was OK with it. We were able to get a discount on our wedding bands because the engagement ring was purchased from them, and we had a coupon that was sent to us. The woman told us not to put down a deposit until she was able to confirm how much my wedding band would be because they had to order it. That was the last attempt Gem Lab made to contact me. I had to make every other interaction with them. I called back a few weeks later to find out what was going on, and they told me that we had to pay for my fiancées band in full by the new year. I found that very hard to believe considering we didn’t even have the ring in our possession. I called back just before the new year to pay it off like she told me-and the associate I spoke to had no idea why I was told that information. A few weeks went by and we still didn’t receive a call from the Gem Lab to let us know if his ring came in yet, so I called them. They seemed surprised that I was calling to find out the status, because the ring was in the drawer waiting to be picked up. I told them that I never got a call from them telling me otherwise. I called them the other day to pay off the balance on my ring, the associate I spoke to also asked me if i wanted to pay off my fiancées ring while i was at it. WHAT?! I told them that I paid it off weeks ago and it had already been picked up-they had to call me back in 10 minutes so they could fix the issue. They called me back and they seemed to fix the problem, and I paid for the rest of my ring. My ring was also ready to be picked up-but nobody let us know. The products that the Gem Lab sells all seem to be beautiful pieces of jewelry. They just really need to work on their customer service. People are spending thousands of dollars, the least you can do is give us a call when our pieces are ready to be picked up.
