Please spare yourself and do not go here. If you know anything about good Mexican food, or just good service in general, you would not eat here more than once. The food was terrible, there was almost no flavor to anything that I ate. It’s hard to describe just how bad this is. And the service was horrible, my waiter was extremely rude, sat me down and took my order, then I never saw him again. If there was an option for negative stars I would give it.

This place is great. No fuss, no wait for a table, and fast service. The portions are huge and the margaritas are strong. What more could you need?

This is one of my favorite Richmond Mexican restaurants. Before you come though, it may help you to understand my ratings. Mexican food is such a personal choice, it’s very hard to understand the basis, so here goes. I look for flavor and consistency over extremes. We come here often and always enjoy our meals. I don’t seek spicy for spicy ‘s sake. If you are looking for nuclear fire or millions of scoville units, you would be happier elsewhere. If you are looking for flavorful consistent Mexican food, this is a fine place.

We came in a weekday, place was slow but service was nice and food was good as well. I had enchiladas, quassia. Vegetarian quassia was great with grilled vegetables.

Came here one hour before closing and received excellent service, and the food and service could not have been better. Was a bit apprehensive after reading reviews but was not disappointed with any aspect of our experience here. Update. I dropped them a star for the terrible service we received on the most recent visit. Ordered an entrée to split as an appetizer and also ordered two entrees. We were sat at a tiny table for two. The appetizer came, then 10 seconds later the entrees came. There was literally NOWHERE to put the plates. Manager said, after the waitress was confused, they would hold the dinners till we were ready. Ridiculous. So we placed one plate on a window passthrough ledge. Again ridiculous. No hot sauce was on the table or brought after request. The food was still good but rushed and service again was terrible. This was a Friday and they were busy, but no excuse. My advice is don’t go on a busy night and you’ll probably have a decent experience.

I ordered the Taquitos Mexacanos. Where the taquitos were crunchy and warm, I was disappointed by the sparse amount of toppings they gave you. I had 4 taquitos and I counted all 7 of the diced tomato cubes. The one line of sour cream was funny. Then I remembered that this was my dinner.

Can I just say one thing? I am so sick of Mexican food, is that the only thing people in Richmond know? Mexican? The rice here is so bland the the steak was so dry that I didn’t even enjoy the meal.

I have eaten here many many times. My husband really likes the burritos. I have been happy with the enchiladas. For a right-sized meal that tastes great, I order the queso dip(a nice serving of beans covered in cheese sauce) with chips and salsa. The staff is friendly and the resturant is in a convenient location.

This is really family friendly Mexican Restaurant that offers a good full menu. I like their chips and salsa except they now have inconvenient square bowls for the salsa. My family has been going Casa for a long time and we now like this location the best. They have very good Fajitas and I enjoy them often. I also like their tacos and other items on the menu. They are very friendly and responsive to dining requests. If you are looking for Mexican in Short Pump this is the place to go.

I gave 4 stars because their Tilapia is really good. But we waited for 15⁄20 minutes to get our order.

Pretty average. Not great, but just ok. There has to be something better in the area.

got fajitas, the meat was nothing but small strips of unflavored round meat not big slices of brisket, sort of like clam strip size and covered in onions and peppers. recently they changed their menu significantly, they took all the good stuff out of the jumbo burrito and called it something else then raised the price. still cost me 40 bucks for 2 people and a sm. child. dont think im going back cause it is not really worth the money any more. they did keep my drink filled though, just not impressed with food.

Server came enough times to get our order and deliver our food. Had to go find staff for a drink refill and more chips. Beef(or was it) was chewy and fatty. All the food was VERY spicy. I don’t mind the spice but not everyone cared for it. What happened to Casa Grande, they used to be decent.

Very affordable, good service, everything thats necessary for a good Mexican restaurant. Lunch combos are the best value as usual. Good thing they consolidated to one location, as they had to compete with Rico’s when they had the Nuckols Rd location.

Still my favorite Mexican restaurant in Richmond. Everything is good from the chips and salsa to the enchildas, burittos, shrimp quesadillas and my personal favorite, soft chicken chimichangas. Their guac and queso(cheese dip) are perfect. The service is fast and friendly. The prices are low and portions are big.

I come here a lot but the food is not that good. The staff is pretty nice but some are creepy. The food comes extremely fast which is nice but it is not very good. It’s really greasy and last time I went there were thick pieces of hair in the salsa. Looked like some kind of animal hair… definitely won’t be eating here anymore which is sad because I come here often with friends because it is so cheap.

The service is seriously bad and also we are pure vegetarians and they served us both meat in our dishes and the worst part was that the server wasn’t even apologetic for his mistake. He wasn’t even concerned about it and didn’t even bother. The worst restaurant and service ever!

I occasionally eat at Casa Grande if I’m in the area. This location is tucked away in a strip mall across from Short Pump Town Center. I always get a decent meal at Casa Grande. The queso is tasty(not to spicy).I usually get the same dish but most dishes I tried was solid. I had the fajitas nachos on last visit. I really enjoy the nachos. The nachos came out sizzling hot. Most of the menu items are reasonably price. The service is fast. The employees are friendly. This location usually stays busy especially on weekends. You pay at the counter after your meal. I give Casa Grande a 3.5 rating.

Ok I can accept that I am not going to get real Mexican food here — I should have stayed in AZ for that. But 5 guys just pulled up to my table to roll silverware at 8:20 on a Friday night. Really? It sounds like I am in a dishwasher. I guess the ketchup that’s on the table says it all. The salsa is week canned tomatoes with some cilantro bits in it. Waiter now too busy rolling forks to get the forgotten tortillas. Now we switch waiters. And she now sits down to roll forks. Tortillas? She vanishes so I ask one of the other guys for tortillas. He brings them back along with my daughters tamale. I notice that the green sauce on the tamale is the same sauce that is supposedly chili verde. The Chili is actually precooked bits of meat(says pork but i could not tell) tossed with the sauce. The sauce is pretty good, but in volume it is overwhelming the little meat erasures that it covers. A sauce is not a main dish but a sauce. Margarita is gone — so is the water. And so are the waiters. The fork table has vanish leaving only a pile of forks. While I wait for a waiter, I watch the bartender mix up a giant plastic pitcher of margaritas. So in case your are looking for a fresh mixed drink, be aware that they make them 2 gallons at a time. I decide to bail and I go to the women up front seating people for the check and she vanishes. A new waiter brings my check and vanishes. Get up and wait for somebody to show up at the register. Oh well.

My all time favorite restaurant. I love the food. It is the best Mexican food I have ever had. The staff is quick and friendly and I have never had a problem there. I have been going there for years and will continue to for many more. Can’t recommend it enough!
