Went in last night for a quick food run, it was my 1st time and the chicken gyro was really good!

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to, their foods aren’t worth how much they would charge you. Also, the employees are rude as hell, when you first walk in u will notice a sign Saying price is subjected to a customer’s attitude WTH! Every time I order sub from them I get a piece of bread(empty) and whenever I tell them they would say the same shit over and over«I am sorry i will make sure that never happens again» but it keeps happening everyday I order. Their hooks aren’t super clean you can see mildew at the bottom of the hookah and also u can see random species floating on the surface of the water. Keep in mind, you can’t have anything from outside not even an empty bottle or a bottle of water.

Surprised I have not reviewed this place since I always go here. They are great mainly because they’re open so darn late! So if you’re craving chicken wings, pizza and heavier dishes pretty late, you’d be pretty pleased here. They are a middele eastern resto in front of Broad st. We usually get their shawarma platters with beef, lamb and rice! Every single time we order, it is always plated neatly and they are so generous with their portions. The cucumber slices are still cold and fresh, hey I appreciate the little things! Don’t be intimidated by signs, they just don’t like dealing with rude college kids late in the evening so my advice: pretend they aren’t there and be respectful. I have never smoked hookah here but all i know is that they have strict rules upon entering. Make sure you read their rules because they’ll charge you just for sitting there w/o ordering anything over $ 5.

This hookah bar is not up to par. They use quick lights, they literally only put 1 quick light on the foil. I had to ask for 3 coals. They won’t let you keep the tongs to move the coals around. I took 4 hits of their hookahs and I stipes. What a waste of money

Food was okay … Hookah sucked the owner seemed to be a bit stingy I should say and there was something flooring in the water. He only gave us bout 3 coals total the whole time I was there and he was just rude. I though it also it was a bit pricy

Once again these people have fraudulently charged my credit card for $ 46. I called to speak to someone about it, and the man was the rudest human being on the planet. I gave him my name and phone number and asked to have the woman I had spoken to previously call me. When I asked what her name was, he said I don’t have to tell you her name. When I asked him what his name was he became even ruder and told me he didn’t have to tell me his name either. What kind of morons run this business? I would steer far away from this place.

This place is a joke, they’re an Arab cuisine but they refused to speak Arabic because you«don’t do that in America» also, their bowls are incredibly overpriced(75 $ for a bs plain bowl”. Like what are they even thinking selling paraphernalia for 3x the price as the headshop across the street. The chicken shawarma was smaller than my palm, and was over priced. I left disrespected and they won’t be getting my business again. Pure disappointment. And a shame to all Arabs.

Came here with my boyfriend and our friend. The staff was very rude. The food is a much smaller portion than what you would expect to get for the price. Also, do not buy pieces from there. They sell pipes that are worth 10 dollars for 70, and bongs that are worth 100 dollars for 3 times the price. Also, they told my boyfriend who attempted to speak to them in Arabic that they do not do that here because it’s America. I do not enjoy a restaurant that tells its customers that they can change the price based on their attitude. Poor service, poor food, rude staff, do not go here.

The food was not great. The quality is so poor. The quantity is so less for the price. The short fat guy at cashier had a very rude attitude. The hookah which we picked was 10.99 and he changed the price to 11.99 by himself and charged on my credit card. After charging he tells that there is 5%extra fee for credit or debit transactions. And he didn’t offer explanation for changing the price. Just because it is close to vcu and a lot of students come here doesn’t give people to miss treat the customers. I suggest people to double check their receipts at these kind of restaurants.

I came here the other day for lunch — it was an off day, but the food was still OK and the service was excellent. The gentlemen running the restaurant gave me a complimentary Greek desert with Almonds. That was pretty good! I feel this place is pretty good for taking lunch to go, it’s usually pretty good. I enjoy the atmosphere, and for days I don’t bring lunch, I don’t mind coming here time to time. :-)

Been here twice in two weeks, good hookahs starting from $ 10. The owner really knows her way around a hookah. The food is great(above average). They are receptive of feedback on the hookah and you can get it made anyway you want. They use magic coals.

Sandwich was pretty good but the list of things I didn’t like was much longer: Guy that took my order wasn’t really friendly and started smoking a cigarette inside the place. I get that it’s a hookah place but I hate the smell of cigarettes and he started smoking 10 feet from where I was eating. Yuck. They charge a 5% fee for using a credit card. Bogus. Credit card processing rates are about 3% so they are just pocketing the additional 2%. I wouldn’t go back here.

The falafel here is absolutely fantastic, though the hummus has a strange wintergreen mint taste to it. Unfortunately one of the men behind the counter always says inappropriate things to girls, over charged me by fifteen dollars then argued about it on one occasion, and has been extremely rude on many other occasions. Maybe hes been putting gum in my food?

While on our trip back from Florida, we stopped at South of the Border. While chatting with an employee, he suggested that we checked this place out since we’d be passing through Virginia by dinner time. That should speak volumes about this place. Someone from hundreds of miles away was recommending this place. The food was great, the falafels might have been the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The employees were very friendly and attentive. If I’m ever passing through this area again, I can’t imagine not stopping here again.

I love that the hookah is so affordable here. I always get the $ 12 hookah, double apple flavor and am never disappointed. I like to sit at the on the pillows near the front windows, it gives us a nice experience. The service is great, and the pizza is delicious.

This is the most chilled out place with great Mediterranean food and Hookah. The floor cushion seating makes you feel royal when you have the Hookah in your hand! Try the Kebabs and Gyro’s which are the best in town. They recently started taking Credit cards too with 5% fee. In Hookah… I prefer the Watermelon mint or the Apple mint.

I don’t know about their hookahs, their wait staff, or anything like that, I just get the delivery and MAN is it GOOD! I admit that yes, I do eat this when I am wasted, but I remember it from when I am sober and it holds up. I usually get the white pizza and the lamb gyros because the tzatziki sauce is do die for; I think their must be some addictive drug or like some get unknown thing in it that only they know about. I feel like if I end the night with a gyro from here the possibility of a hangover is greatly diminished as I indulge in the perfect night cap. If you have a sweet tooth, eat the almond cake and baklava because it doesn’t get any better. Don’t forget to pay cash cuz plastic ain’t worth nothing to these people. They don’t wanna break off nothing for the credit card companies and how can you blame them?

Didn’t have anything to eat, although can say that the hot drinks here are a steal! Coffee and tea, totally reasonable, albeit they come in foam cups. I called them up before coming and without even asking, the gentleman on the phone informed me that it was 3 people max per hookah, extras will have to buy their own or purchase some value of food that I don’t recall. This was my clue that the community college crowd probably comes here. Probably a good thing since that will keep the prices down. Cushions on the floor is a little cheesy, but gets the job done. Next time I’ll sit at one of the diner style booths for more back support. Hey, stuff like that is important to me! Overall, I’d say this is a win because of the friendly staff and good prices.
