Literally the best nachos I’ve ever had, and they’re colossal. You won’t be disappointed by the quantity and quality of the food. The fries and wings are also delicious. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to eat around VCU. Our waitress Amy was also very kind and helpful. Very quick. Ask for her as your waitress. You won’t be disappointed

Delicious! Have been two times. Tacos and nachos are delicious and both are big servings(esp the nachos!). Had the spicy bbq wings… SO spicy, be prepared! But they were great!

Some of the best chicken on a taco I’ve ever had. The naked wings were also pretty bangin. Maybe I’m just from DC, but everything here is real cheap, and real good. If I lived here, I’d come every weekend.

This is a great establishment in RVA. My husband and I wandered in on a Monday and their Margaritas were $ 1.00 off so $ 3.95 instead of 4.95. Awesome deal! We got the key lime flavored marg and the mix was not too sweet, a good pour on tequila too! my husband got a salt rim but I tried the sourpatch rim-a great choice. They have an extensive wing and taco menu. We decided to have tacos(two for $ 9.00 and the tortillas are 8 in round so not too small or big). I had the BBQ chicken taco and the shrimp taco with honey siracha sauce. The shrimp were goos, not sure if they were hand battered and fried but sure looked like it. The BBQ chicken paired well with the slaw. My husband had the Huevos taco which had a fried egg and chorizo in there, that was absolutely delicious. He also got a cajun chicken taco– great seasoning and peppercorn ranch was delicious. We also had some chips and guacamole, it was pretty good but the tacos and margs were much more tasty and delicious. We will be back again! Also would like to note, the kitchen switched around our tacos(my husband got one of mine) but our server was quick to rectify the situation. We actually didn’t care that we got each others tacos because they were ALL delicious but regardless good customer service and a great place!

I have been hearing about this place for months now and finally stopped in after work for a drink. The staff is super friendly and the space is wonderful. A little small but uses it well. The bar is spacious and they have an excellent drink menu. I had the house margarita and it was delicious! The music is great, very Richmond-y feel. Next time I’ll get here earlier enough to try the food!

I’ve been a fan of Asado since they opened their doors about a year ago. Fries with Queso, Taco Tuesdays, Sangria Sundays. Need I say more? Everything is delicious. I can’t stop in the city without satisfying the craving I always have for their Honey Sriracha Shrimp Tacos!

Love the chicken nachos, but definitely a dish to share, very big portion Great tasting wings, although the blue cheese dressing tasted like mayo, but loved that they put blue cheese crumbles on top of the dressing. Great taco selection. Great portion sizes, great value The margarita was a bit too sour. And would have been great if they could have turned the heat on. It was cold in the building, had to wear my coat the whole time I was there I’d go back!

Went there last night to celebrate my birthday with a group of about seven. Service was excellent, the waiter was very attentive! She kept the Margaritas coming and the overall vibe was enjoyable. Loved the Margaritas with the sour patch rim and the jalapeño poppers were delicious. I would definitely go back.

Great tacos overall but there’s more tortilla then there is filling. Their pico de gallo is made well and compliments almost all their tacos. I had the honey siracha shrimp and it was pretty good! All the flavors worked together and wasn’t too spicy or too sweet. I also tried their fish taco which was moist but the meal flour coating was too thick! I highly recommend trying their House Cherry Limade, it’s so delicious! Oh, their lemondades are freshly squeezed if you’re into fresh juices.

OMG! I had the Cajun dry rub wings and they were so good! I have been thinking about them every since last Friday. I can’t wait to go back and try out some tacos but I will always get those Cajun wings. The place is rather small so trying to get a table on the weekend may be difficult. However, they have great happy hour deals.

Went here last night with a friend, the wings were great! I got the spicy bbq & they had a nice kick to them. My drinks were good, I did add a shock to my second drink. I really came for the 40 oz margarita but was sad to find out that it was only available as a frozen drink. I prefer on the rocks… However I’ll be back!

Still as great as ever and I love their queso so much I must mention it again. We tried the nachos with brisket tips this time, and it was pretty darn amazing. We were so excited that we had some to take home for a late night munchie.

Came in for dinner while traveling through town. Sat down and waited a good 15 minutes with ZERO acknowledgement from a single waitress. They seemed more into their chit chat behind the bar amongst themselves than waiting on the tables. They weren’t even busy, so there was no excuse. We ended up walking out and finding another place to dine at. It’s a shame that we weren’t able to dine here because we were looking forward to it. We drive through Richmond about six times a year and always make a point to stop to grab a bite to eat and some coffee. Looks like we will be skipping over this place because of the lack of service!

I like Asado, but it’s not one of my go-to restaurants, as there aren’t a ton of interesting or unique vegetarian or fish options. However, the service is great, and I like the vibe they’ve got going on. I just simply can’t find a ton of options for myself. I think if they added tofu to their menu, I’d be more excited to eat there. As for the specific dishes: The first time I went, I got taco salad, which didn’t impress me. The menu said it came with English cucumbers, fried peppers, and onions(along with other toppings). I didn’t notice any cucumber, pepper, or onion, but there was a ton of mixed greens. I would have preferred less salad and more topping, but it was okay. I’ve had the fish taco, and it’s pretty good, but I wish it wasn’t fried. I do like how it’s a whole piece of fish, though, rather than cut up pieces. Nothing super special, but pretty good for the $ 5 price. I think the most unique dish that I can eat here is the papas bravas taco. It’s super flavorful and very unique – I’ve never had anything like it. The potatoes are perfectly crispy and queso blanco is delicious. I’d definitely order it again.

The food was good but not the best I’ve ever had… the service was excellent. I wouldn’t recommend this place for kids because the music was inappropriate.

I came in because I heard my friends raving about this place! Since I wasn’t sure when I would be able to get back I made sure to try a little of both! I got the chorizo taco and the Cajun dry rub both were fantastic! The taco was huge and packed with so much flavor I loved it! The wings had just enough spice to them and dipped in so good ol fashion blue cheese and I was in heaven! The service was quick especially being there right after a VCU game and our waitress was super nice! Will be going back again

I have been to Asado’s numerous times, and I can truly say I have never had a bad experience — from the great customer service to the awesome taco’s and wings its one of my favorite spots in RVA. Décor wise its not much to look at, pretty small, pub(ish) style, and seats maybe 45 – 50 people. However, I will cram myself into a booth or sit on a lap to partake in the Honey BBQ wings and Kobe beef tacos! If you are a drinker, the Swirl is a must! I am not typically a slush drinker, but that seriously. just get it and thank me later!

I stopped by Asado for a quick meal before going to a basketball game. We were seated immediately by staff. I had fully loaded chicken nachos(tortilla chips, chicken, melted cheddar/Jack cheese, queso blanco, pico de gallo, & Mexican crema). Asado fully loaded nachos are enough for 2 to 3 people. The nachos were tasty and definitely very filling. I was stuffed with a lot of food to take home. There are drink specials during happy hour. Service was very slow from our waitress(it wasn’t busy). Parking can be a hassle depending on day and time. Asado was«A-OK» in Unilocal terms.

Definitely worth trying! Have been here a couple times since it recently opened near my neighborhood. Absolutely blown away by the great service — the bartender consistently checked on us and made us feel right at home. Great deal on Tuesdays with $ 2.95 margaritas. I’ve tried both frozen and on-the-rocks and they tasted great. Not crazy about the frozen blueberry colada, though… a little too sweet. Tacos are big and flavorful, and the salad was huuuge. Try their papas bravas, super spicy and on point!

Wanted to try some place new so we went there on a Friday evening. I never went to the previous establishment but it very much seemed like a bar scene. We were really coming to try the wings and the Inferno wings were awesome. Not so spicy that you could not enjoy the flavors. The cajun and naked wings were ok. We wish we just got all inferno. We also tried the loaded nachos which were pretty good too. For 2 of us, 18 wings and nachos were more than enough. The house margarita also went down easily. Would come back for wings, maybe try a taco.
