the place is closed, but still I want to write about an experience I had when I came in on a Wednesday to eat lunch. I was standing, waiting for a bartender to tell me where to sit. because I wasn’t sure what he said, he proceeded to scream at me and had an attitude. I decided not to come in until a couple of months later, because with him screaming at the customers, it’s bound to happen he gets fired. a few months later, I ordered a snack form the bar area and the jerk was gone. the other staff there was friendly, and it’s unfortunate that I had to give three stars because the bartender screamed and didn’t have patience. on the plus side, I always encountered respect and had mostly positive experience here.

Horrible service, the worst I have ever experience! I don’t understand if there is any management in this place! On Mother’s Day, the runners brought out our food and just walked away, didn’t ask if we needed forks, knives or anything else! Didn’t even bother to clean our plates that were just sitting there when we finished our appetizers! Our drinks arrived 30 minutes later, while we were eating the appetizers! The waiter was no where to be found! I hope that someone will take this review seriously and retrain their staff, because this was the worst dinning experience that we ever had!!!

Been to this Applebee’s location and it’s actually decent. I’ve been here 4 times and I’ve never had a problem. Service was good, our waiter was on point bringing us our food and drinks in a timely fashion. I forgot the name of our server but he would refill our drinks when he saw we were low without even asking(that’s a plus). My husband and I go on a Saturday when they have half priced apps and drinks. The half price apps start at 4pm and ends when Applebee’s closes. The only reason why I gave four stars is because the wait is always ridiculous and the hostess are the most confused people I had to ever deal with. Otherwise the service and food is excellent considering Applebee’s is a chain restaurant with processed food.

I have been dining at this Applebee’s for the past ten years and every visit has been pleasant. Applebee’s has a very good happy hour deal for appetizers which come half price, tasty and full portioned. The chicken wings are way better than other chain restaurants. Today I came in for a free 3 course dinner which Applebee’s provides on customer’s birthdays.(They email you a printable coupon) I had the sriracha shrimp appetizer, hot shot whiskey chicken for main dish and apple chimi cheesecake for dessert. A free beverage was also included. Everything was delicious!

Went there at 10:25 for a table, a host came 10 minutes later and very rudely told us that only the bar is open because they’re closing in 20 minutes. I didn’t even want to eat at Applebee’s anymore after that experience

This was the worst place I have ever been to. It was so bad I will NEVER go into another Applebees again. This is a disgrace to the food establishment. DONOTGOHERE. Let me tell you how it went. I came here on my lunch break from work. One would think the service would be quick considering there was hardly anyone there. It took 15 minutes for the waiter to sit us. With about 10 open tables in front of us. But I use to work in customer service, so I try to be understanding. So we sat down after 15 minutes and continued to order. Our server only came to us ONCE. Just to take our order. It took about 45 minutes for our food to come out. Mind you I only have an hr for lunch break. After that NOONE came to our table no matter how many times we called. We had to walk up to the bar just to get a refill on a drink. But I was willing to let this go. But what sent me over the top is management. They had this lady who was going around to tables and bothering people while they eat. She proceeded to go to my table and said«what are you Chinese or Japanese» I’m neither and just because I look Asian doesn’t mean she can profile me into a nationality. I took extreme offense to that, but I was with my girlfriend so I didn’t want to start something. I told her to leave because that was a messed up thing to say to a stranger. And then proceeded to call me rude and walked away. So I let it go. Then 15 minutes later she comes back to our table and calls me «nigger» and other racial slang words. Tells me to turn around and calls me «bitch, Assshole» and other words. She says she wants to beat me up and starts to threaten me. I’ve been in worse situations than that so I do yell back, but I know how to handle myself. And to top it off I complained to about 5 different serves and even the manager. They did NOTHING. They let her keep harassing the customers. It wasn’t just me she was yelling at, it was everyone in the restaurant. But the staff and managers just ignored her and let her keep talking. This is unacceptable. Nobody should feel this way in a restaurant. So after this argument the waiter still never came to our table. The server from the other side of the restaurant has to come and take our check. This is a disgrace to the restaurant industry. The slow service I can deal with, I understand they get backed up, or they might be short staffed. But there is no reason why you should let someone harass customers and continue to call them racial slurs. Oh. And I almost forgot. She also spit on someones jacket right before we left. And what did the servers do NOTHING. I have thick skin, so I can take a lot. But if it was anyone else I’m sure it would of escalated into something bigger. Shes lucky she was a woman or I would of knocked her out. Bottom line is DONOTEVERGOHERE.

I’m not so sure why this place has horrible reviews. This applebees location is actually my favorite out of all the ones in NYC. The service is great and the food and drinks never disappoint. My boyfriend and I have stopped by here multiple times and we always enjoy what we order. From the mozzarella sticks and wings for appetizer to the burger or steak for entrees, everything is well worth the price!

It seems as though the management of this applebee’s needs some training. We went late(9pm), there was no wait but it took a while for us to be seated. Upon entering the restaurant, we noticed tables that have not been bussed and by the time we left, the tables were still not bussed. There is a system for ordering appetizers and desserts but what?!! we have to pay $ 1.99 in order to keep ourselves occupied with games? The food was mediocre. Could have gone to a diner down the street to get better food. The waiter was fine but the way they seated us was not helpful for him to run around. We were spread out from other tables. It took us a while to get his attention, again the system on the table, was not effective for us to call our server. Avoid if possible.

The service here is definitely underwhelming. Bartenders that will ignore you for 20 mins despite the place being empty. On one occassion the bartender asked us if we were ready to order after 15 mins of avoiding us and we said yes, and then she continued to ignore us and kept washing glasses. Lol wtf? Also if you go for happy hour, make sure to ask which drinks are part of the deal because they won’t bother telling you and will charge you full price.

Came here for a quick lunch with my mom. She didn’t feel like walking anywhere too far, so we chose convenience over quality. We would soon regret this decision. The fact that there was a 5 – 10 minute wait astounds me, because it means that people actually come here. I got the tilapia which looked nothing like the way it did on the menu. The side veggies were a complete travesty. Unseasoned boiled vegetables are the reason why kids don’t eat their vegetables. I also got a baked potato instead of the home fries advertised on the menu, but I was actually okay with this. My mom didn’t get the cole slaw as shown on the menu, and she said her ribs were dry. Overall, I wasn’t expecting a 5-star meal, but we both looked at the each other at the end of our meal and said that we wished we had gone somewhere else.

Just paid the tab, on a Saturday night & we are at the bar being served by Maximillian(I think). He was so attentive & the drinks were on point, as well as the food. We had a total of 5 appetizers that were half priced as well as a total of 3 coors light draft and a top shelf long Island iced tea and patron margarita and the total came out to a little over 40 $. Not only was the price impassive but max’s service was impeccable. He was engaging, friendly and accommodating & never had us waiting more than 3 minutes for our drinks. He also does little fancy shows when fulfilling our drink order! Overall, I was impressed with the service, food and drinks. I’d prefer this applebees than the one by queens center mall anyday, no water down drinks & prompt service. If you guys are going to pay this applebees a visit, make sure u sit at the bat with max, for great service! Love love LOVE

I came here to meet up with my bestie whilst grabbing an inexpensive bite to eat. We opted for the 2 for $ 26 dinner option. We chose an appetizer, dinner entrée and for an additional cost, dessert. We started off with The Asian Zing boneless wings. They were good but had more spice than sweet. I was looking for the perfect balance of the two, but was a little surprised by the overpowering spiciness of the wings. It’s a good portion to share between two people. For our entrees we had the three cheese chicken penne but instead of chicken my bestie opted for shrimp and no tomatoes. She really enjoyed her meal. I went with the bourbon street chicken and shrimp with no mushrooms and opted for sweet potato fries instead of the fried red potatoes. Visually my entrée was on the small side however it filled me up. It was delicious. The only critique I have about my platter is the excessive amount of onions. I believe they sliced and sautéed an entire Vidalia onion… no bueno. I love onions but there were so many I could’ve brought them home and made fajitas. My bestie wanted dessert, but I didn’t. She ordered the Triple Chocolate Meltdown. At first I didn’t want any but it looked so yummy. This is coming from a non-chocolate lover and I have to say it was mouth watering good. This location is clean. The staff is nice. Our waiter, Messay was adorable and very sweet.

Absolutely terrible, stole 10 dollars from us. We bought a gift card worth 10 dollars, insted of taking the $ 10 off our credit card bill they charged us the full price of the meal, and here’s the kicker, they THREWAWAY the gift card so we’d have no proof, don’t eat here

Bad experience. We waited over a half hr for our food. During that time no one not even our waitress came by to apologize for delay or let us know what is going on. By the time our food came they brought everything at once appetizers and entrees. That isnt how its done. Plus the food was left on warmer for a while you can tell by the time food came fries were as fresh. The waitress only came by twice. First for our order. Second time she came to supposedly ask how things were but as soon as she asked she said ok great and walked off. Never waited for response. Manager came by asked if everything was okay. I told him what happened and at this point i just want the check. He repeated you want the check? I said yes. He left to go get it. That’s it. The while experience was unpleasant and made me feel unwelcome. I have no interest of going back. I will either go by my neighborhood or the one in coop city. Their atmosphere is way more welcome, friendly and food tastes better.

We were seated very quickly when we went there to watch a game. As all chains, their service was well. However when I ordered iced coffee, it took them about a good 20 minutes. Other than that, the service and quality was great.

Always come here! Service is top notch, well atleast on the happy hour side of the restaurant. Yes they kind of separate the restaurant into a happy hour side and a normal side… Huge blue moons 5 bucks… Appetizers always half off Cool waiters What more can you ask!?! Only let down is Midnight last call for drinks on a friday night :/

A follow up from my prior review., We were seated after 10 minutes next to some patrons with a very annoying child who would not stop squealing. No thanks. I told my host that I’m not comfortable there, he grabs 2 menus and takes us to another table as far away from the brat as possible. ~pure awesomeness Verdict: Keep your spawn quiet, I don’t wanna hear it.
