Pretty good vibe and wings to die for on Mondays. Just combine them with domestic or import bucket or 2 and you got a fun night out.

Went at few weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon and receive horrible service while the owners were sitting down eating their lunch. I went again this Sunday and did receive better service. The staff was more attentive this time. The Sunday specials is a deal you cannot beat. Their Nachos are awesome.

I use to come here before it was the spot for after work at Circuit City. It has improved great tvs and expanded bathroom, live dj and hookah. Hookah sucks and sangria sucks! I HAD the worst service, the waiter actually reminded me that the sangria was $ 40 three times and even with her hand did 4 fingers and a zero. I WASSHOCKED. And when asked if I wanted a open tab or pay as you go, I said open tab she said u need a credit card for that, i was like oh really. I guess I looked like a cheap retard. Not coming here unless its neccsary.

Somehow my review was deleted. No worries, I’ll write it again and attempt to include my same sentiments from the first review Came here looking for a nice local bar to frequent after recently moving to the area and we were VERY disappointed. We come to the bar around 10:30pm or maybe 11pm? Greeted by a bouncer to pats down my boyfriend, to get into a bar. I don’t know of any gangsters in Rego Park, but fine, whatever. As we enter, we are immediately greeted by super loud music for not that big of a space. Looks like they are attempting to have that club vibe, which isn’t really what we were looking for, but okay. Bar is full with above 35 year olds and some thirsty guys. We were the youngest people there hands down. This was also reflected by the music, they played a little bit of current music, some latin music, but then they played really old music for half the night. Let me just say DMX made a musical appearance quite a few times We sit, we and we order fries, a margarita, and a beer from the waitress. The fries take like 15 mins, but can overlook this because they came hot and the waitress made sure to check in on it. My margarita comes, and it’s just crushed ice with a bit of syrup in it. If there was tequila in it I would have never known. The weakest margarita I have ever had anywhere and I’m no big drinker. At this point I just thought it was the way the margarita was made so I drink it and decide I’m going to order something hard to mess up. a vodka cranberry. When the waitress brings over the drink, I can already tell by how dark the cranberry juice was that there was little to no vodka in there, and this is with ice. I could not taste a lick of alcohol, like none, nada. I would feed this drink to a class full of children and send them home to their parents with confidence. Your best bet is drinking before you come, or not even coming at all(give the latter some very serious consideration). For a night of drinking here, I’d be surprised if you got a buzz at all. You’d have to stick to the things you know have no variable alcohol content, meaning shots and beer(they also don’t have cider). I’d rather go to Applebees or Dallas BBQ of all places. My god send me to Friday’s for all I care, just don’t bring me back here. To conclude this place really needs Bar Rescue, I can only hope John Taffer can save this bar from itself. In my last review, the bar owner Gary commented claiming his bartenders were the best in the business and that he would speak to them about what was going on that night. The only problem with that is the bartender showed us that she has to use a ticker at the end of each bottle to pour each and every drink. So I am aware that the problem isn’t with the bartenders, it’s still with the establishment.

They have a mirror behind their bar that at one section looks like the second part is much farther away than it really is. I thought that was cool. It seems this is a fancier place in Rego Park considering they have a dress code from Thursday-Sunday & I think even had age restrictions. They have karaōke here every other week, which I attempted to show up for but if there’s a sports game going on you will not be singing for a while. I didn’t get to see the book or try that out but the inside of the place is very nice & staff was friendly enough. One of these every other Wednesday nights I’ll be singing karaōke there one way or the other.

Absolutely love the wings!!! I have tried wings from many places but hands down these are my favorite. I also love the guacamole and I’m Mexican so that’s a really good compliment. Love the atmosphere and the music is always on point. Great chill spot. If your in the area definitely stop by and u must have the wings!!!

This BARISPOPPING!!! I went there on Saturday night and it was lit. Great music, beautiful bartenders, and strong drinks! What more could you ask for? My highlight of the night was the bartender Liz who kept em comin and knew just what to say at every stage of my drunkenness. Cheers to her! Ill def be back soon. One thing they could improve is the atmosphere(more females) but it was lit.

Came in with hope of having a quick drink with friends; didn’t turn out that way. The place wasn’t crowded, but did have a good crowd. Took a seat at the bar and was greeted by one of the bartenders and handed us menus. They have a wide selection of drinks and for the quality I found it to be a little overly priced. We waited some time for a bartender to take our orders(there were a few of them and not all making drinks). I had the Tokyo Tea; can’t say I loved it but I didn’t hate it either. One thing I noticed while watching the bartender make the drink, was that they precisely measure each shot(don’t expect a bit of a longer pour)! The only thing I can say was that I didn’t get the slight bit of effect by it — and it doesn’t take much for me I may add. The place also had a DJ. While that seems to always be a plus, I could do without it at this place. The music was all over the place(Opens Eyes Wide). They went from 90’s Freestyle to 2015 Reggeaton and it was way too loud for the size of the place. There were no standees at the place and it was quite difficult trying to have a conversation with my friends without yelling– anddd we were seated side by side. My biggest turn off was a cigarette smell that approached right before finishing my drink; and it wasn’t coming from outside — we sat closer to the the back of the bar. Not sure what that was about. This was my second time here and this didn’t change my initial impression. I wish I could say I’d return to give the food a shot, but can’t see it happening in the near future(sad face).

Tropix is a good bar to go to if you’re into the over 35 crowd. The alcohol is very rationed and parking is difficult. I didn have a terrible time, but I definitely don’t think I’ll be back.

Do not order mixed drinks. They are watered down. Order straight drinks, no rocks. Place was empty on a friday night. Avoid, avoid.

Yea this place… i dont know. just not for me. Why i gotta take my hat off and not wear sneakers? Will that make me a diffrent person? Will that make this place not be next to a mall, between a chinese take out and a falafel place? Its like a place to go if you like to «act» uppity. When i want to act uppity, catch me at the copa. Keep it low key. Stay classy.

Table service was awful so don’t bother paying extra for it, it’s not worth a dime when you have to keep getting up to the bar to order drinks and ask for water. The dance floor is too small and the servers push and elbow people out of the way when they’re walking back and forth. Just overall a really crappy place, bad service and a horrible DJ. The nicest person there was the guy standing outside the bathroom(why was he there? I don’t know, but he was nice). You really have to go with a good group of people if you want to have a decent time here but that would also be like grasping at straws.

What a great spot! I’m just mad that I didn’t find it sooner! Went here on a Tuesday night — where there is a great drink special — half off beers, wine and some other drinks. We had the wing sampler where you can get 3 different types of wings. Our waitress recommended the Lemon Pepper wings and she was right on the money. They were delicious! Our waitress, Liz, was wonderful and really helped make the night even better than it already was. She was friendly, attentive and just all around lovely. We will definitely be back as they are so good with creating a great atmosphere with good food, good music, good service and good people. Can’t wait to go back!

I went on a Monday night. WINGSNIGHT since me and my friends love wings this is the spot to come to! Their wings menu is full of different sauces & spices. My favorite garlic parm is one of the best. Orgasm in your mouth lol we tried the Lemon pepper one to me it was okay not one of my faves. The General tso flavor was really good but I sticked to the garlic parm. The music that night was okay, it was low, and it had the same playlist playing all over until the DJ came. The waiter was very attentive and I didn’t notice if the wings took long or not because I was busy enjoying my great time with friends. It’s a great spot to come if you’re a WINGLOVER! P.S the ladies bathroom has two toilets next to each other.

3 stars because of the weak a** drinks they make here. You’re better off taking 10 shots of liquor. We started off with a Mango Mojito that tasted like mint leaves, seltzer w. a splash of mango juice. Where was the liquor?! We told the waitress, she tried our drink then took it away & added more rum to it. She actually made it worse. It was terrible! Next we had a L.I.T, that tasted like a bottled version you buy at the liquor store MINUS the liquor. Umm O_o On to the patron shots that tasted like water. I’m not a big fan of tequila especially not straight up but he wanted me to take shots with him so I obliged. I tossed all 4 of my Patron shots back like I was gargling with salt water. That’s insane. I don’t think we had Patron but instead some water down El Cheapo tequila.
