I get it, it’s 4th of July, it’s going to be busy. What I didn’t understand was the shop was run by inexperienced teens on probably their busiest day of the year. Where was upper management? Where was the owner? How could they leave the kids by themselves to run the shop on such a busy day? I saw first hand the chaos in the store. The kids were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. The people who were waiting for their pizzas were giving up and leaving after waiting for over an hour. I just wanted slices and was told it would be another hour before slices were ready. They were handing out the wrong pizzas to people and forgetting about pizzas in the oven. There was no sense of order at all. They definitely could have used the help of upper management or the owner. Were they on vacation? Later I heard that there may have been a fire at Zeppy’s. I feel bad for all of those workers. What an awful way to end an already chaotic day.

I used to come to this beach a lot as a child but, since I moved I haven’t had a chance to come very often. My favorite place was this pizza place and I was looking forward to it. I finally got a slice and it didn’t taste like before. The pizza is very bland with no flavor and the cheese was burnt. Very disappointed.

This place is at the Redondo Beach Pier in which I was taken to quite often by my parents, so I have good memories too, like some other reviewers. The pizza itself is really good, but pretty greasy! They only sell pepperoni if you’re buying it by the slice, which is $ 3&CASHONLY. Otherwise, if you buy at least 6 slices, you have a choice of several toppings. This place has been around for unteen years.

Pizza is OK, but I love the pizza sauce. The sauciest and best tasting pizza sauce that I’ve ever had. Rankings 1 — 10 with 10 being the best. Location — 10 It doesn’t get better than the beach. Ambiance — 7 Cool old school pizza joint. Selection — 5 Average. Service — 5 Nice. Food — 8 It’s all about the sauce. Overall — 7.5 It’s good beach food.

We ended up walking out… I ordered two«slices» and it was going to be a 15 minute wait… Inevitably I bring up the Unilocal page and start having some serious concerns. Everything you have read about Zeppys Redondo is True. Pizza Squares of cafeteria quality. Still, we hung in. We just needed a snack before skee-ball…Still waiting… So, we got a refund and hit the road in search of corn dogs.

It’s pizza. It’s not nasty. It’s cheap. What else can you ask for on a boardwalk?

We were going to go to the Oriental Breeze but they were closed and ended up here. Wish I didn’t. It was bland, tasteless, dirty overpriced pizza. Flies landing on my food aren’t cool. Away from the pier this place would wither away on the vine.

Ate pizza at Zeppy’s yesterday. Years ago, I used to bring my family here and we really enjoyed it. Their pizza is best, fresh out of the oven. I’ve never had a problem with their pizza, always ate inside.

I was a kid about 15 years ago and my parents brought me to the Redondo Beach Pier on a monthly basis. Every time we came I would always beg my parents for a slice of Zeppy’s. I came here recently after not having been to Redondo Beach in a few years. Of course, I had to have some Zeppy’s. It was such a disappointment. It’s the kind of pizza only a child or a drunk person can love.

Every time my husband wants to go for a walk on the pier or I’m stuck watching him fish. We head by zeppy’s for a slice of pizza, your better of just getting a small pizza. No complaints here you get what you see.

You can’t patronize ANY business on this pier, especially during the off season, and expect anything above carnival food and ambiance — this includes having teenagers blow smoke in your face while you eat, seagulls crap on your head, and getting run over by hordes of sugar laced children. With that said, I ordered a greasy slice of pizza and got a greasy slice of pizza. Praise carnival food!

The pizza is okay, but $ 2 for such a small slice is kind of ridiculous. The main reason I don’t like going to Zeppy’s, though, is because the employees are rude and unprofessional. There are plenty of other options if you want to grab a bite on the Redondo Pier.

What a great lil place to enjoy amazing pizza and a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean! I have enjoyed many dates here with my fiancée, whom has been going there since he was a child! We are having our rehersal dinner there, actually. If you like good pizza, the ocean and the simplicity of the pier, Zeppy’s is the place for you. No frills, just a lot of history and good food.
