Western Stone Grill @ Grand Peking

NOPE…
Not sure what they were going for here but the theme makes no sense, unless you are trying to blend this in with the movie Shanghai Noon. Our warning shot should have been we were there just before «High Noon» on a Friday and the place was empty.
I could get past the strange combo of Western and Chinese food together but the problem was the food itself was horrible:
1) Typical Fast Food Chinese food selections — nothing unique here (unless you consider having skillet steaks on the menu a real change up)
2) Soup came out luke warm to cold. They offered to take it back, but after watching the scene in Road Trip I NEVER send anything back I plan on consuming. The wontons in the wonton soup were OK as they had some taste… the broth they were in however was flavorless water.
3) Presentation of the lunch portion of Orange Chicken was fine. However once you bit into the over sized chunks of deep fried chicken (at least I assume it was chicken) you were unable to get past the over cooked toughness of the meat. It was harder to chew that some cheap jerky meat. Maybe that’s how it was done back in the Wild Wild West.
4) The fried rice side that came with the lunch portion was large, but it was again flavorless. They kept asking if we wanted soy sauce or hot sauce — maybe because they knew it needed it to cover up the blandness.
I have no idea what the rest of the 5 star reviewers were eating but at our lunch with 7 people and 7 different dishes from the menu not one of us ate our meals.
Worst of all they were having problems with their draught beer so we couldn’t even get something good to wash it all down with… I am pretty sure that is what they used to do back in the 1800’s to cover up the bad quality of what they were forced to eat.
I hope the 6 people that gave it 5 stars eat there every day as it is the only way this place will remain in business once the word gets out.

Absolutely awful. Went there with some co-​workers for a team lunch, not a single person ate more than 20% of their food. Bills were mixed up, and one person didn’t even get their food until they reminded them.
Décor inside makes no sense whatsoever. This is a Western Chinese Resturaunt? What even is that? Am I supposed to feel like I am a cowboy in China?
Soup– Had the egg flower soup. Was lukewarm at best. No flavor whatsoever.
Orange chicken– Disgusting. Was so over fried that the meat inside was like eating shoe leather.
Fried Rice– Bland, totally forgettable.
Worst Chinese food ever. Would eat Panda Express over this. If you want Chinese food that actually tastes good, give Spicy Talk a shot.
Will never return.

I am a repeat customer. The food is always amazing and the new menu has brought new options to my table. Consistently good food, I would recommend it highly.

This place is awesome! The family dinner is the best way to go. Food was good before the makeover, and it still is. Bravo!
I haven’t tried from their new menu yet, but I can’t help but order the meal that got me hooked to this place.
Everyone is very nice and you get great service. I am kind of thrown off by the theme and décor, but I really don’t care. That is a non-​issue for me. The food is great and I have a great experience EVERY time. Not a lot of restaurants are like that.
Definitely worth checking it out if you haven’t been.

The food is great, I had this chicken skillet and it was perfect taste, and came to the table sizzling I had a side of steamed rice and egg flower soup. So yummy I wish I had could eat more but there’s only so much you can fit in your stomach and your eyes want more.
Definitely coming back.

Their Chinese food is so wonderful. Good price and big portion. I also recommend their skillet, it come with fresh vegetables and meat. Please don’t missing !!
