I just want to make a, quick shout out to Outback. I had ordered a meal for pickup. Once I arrived home I was surprised to see an extra container in my bag. The sweethearts had thrown in a ½ order of their«Thunder Down Under», because they caught in our conversation that I was allergic to gluten, and they wanted to give me a gluten free treat. Thank you Outback!

What’s with steakhouses disappearing from Kirkland? First The Keg, now Outback, which I heard yesterday is ending their lease for the place on 85th sometime in 2016. Not surprised — The quality of food at this Outback has declined over the years to the point that they are now not much better than a Shari’s, just more expensive and with ridiculously limited hours and no guest wifi. And for the second time, I felt like they were pulling a bait and switch — the corporate office runs delicious sounding specials, but when you get to the restaurant they tell you the special ended the week before, when you’d just seen it online or on tv the previous day. Sleezy.

Had a craving for outback while visiting. The one that’s close to my house back home is mediocre so when I saw it was 3 stars I figured it would be mediocre like the one I have at home. Well upon pulling in to the parking lot, it made a great first impression. It was clean and well presented. All the signs were working(the one by my home usually says«out» or just«back» when lit up). Was seated right away and received prompt service. Our server was Tyler I believe and he was awesome. Attentive and friendly. I ordered my usual sirloin steak and baked potato. And they were delicious. I think he combination of appearance, taste of food, and the exceptional service might’ve made this my favorite outback. Too bad I don’t live here otherwise I’d be a frequent customer. If you’re I the mood for steak in the Seattle area, stop here.

My spouse and I went a here to get a nice dinner to celebrate. Bad choice. The blooming onion was a delictable delight of old grease and zesty char of the devil«seasoning». Only a true gastric champion can choke this pile of fried straw death with with a onion jello center down. I grieve for the puny shrimp that became the skewered mass of colorless rubber that met crustacean purgatory on my plate. The chicken was a prefozen, dry and stringy medallion of shame. The waiters were very nice. We were not charged. Sadly, I cannot ever go back to this nirvana of mundane restaurants for my body immediately rejected the product. They do make excellent steak bubblegum cooked to your taste. The memories of this celebration are sure to last for at least another 24 – 48 hours. Enjoy

We had a great dinner at this location. The food and service were both very good. It is a good idea to stick with steak, though. Absolutely avoid the Blooming Onion.

Kitchen seems incapable of cooking a steak as ordered. Rare came out well done. Sent it back. New steak came out and was still cold throughout. As in uncooked. Bad news if a steakhouse can’t make steak. The service? They could not have cared less.

Unlimited shrimp was so-so, kinda like boiled and then fried, and ribeye was also kinda cooked. Filet minion was nice. The one tasty things were salads.

Went here last night with some friends. I used to love outback but recently it’s really only been«ok». We had the«Wood-fire grilled shrimp on the barbie appetizer». The bites were ok, but it was 2 skewers of 3 shrimps each, so rather pricey at $ 11. The full stack of back ribs was also a mediocre experience — The Costco ribs are better. Our server, on the other hand was great. He joked with us throughout without getting annoying, and I would definitely hire him if I was running a restaurant. The unlimited shrimp however was a popular choice with my friends who had several refills and seemed pretty happy with what they got.

I haven’t been to an Outback Steakhouse in a long time. As a matter of fact, I had recently found a gift certificate that I have literally had tucked away in a drawer for almost twenty years. After being seated, I presented the certificate to the waiter who quickly admitted he had never seen anything like it before. He took it over to a manager who looked it over and gave the okay for me to use it. I really wouldn’t have been surprised or upset if they had said no so that was nice of them to do for me. While the food was good, nothing that I ate really stood out and was also pretty much what I remembered it being during previous visits. I ordered a steak and shrimp combination that came with steamed broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes along with the standard loaf of bread. There was nothing wrong with any of those items but, again, nothing really noteworthy either. The service was really good and was the highlight of my visit. From the moment I walked in, I felt very welcome and was assisted by multiple members of the staff over the course of my meal. I mean that in a way that was very complementary and not overbearing or intrusive at all. Overall, this was a good experience and I would most likely return for another visit.

Good service. Bad food. My steak looked old. It tasted bad. Outback is normally ok food but this is the worst for food. Building looked outdated. Staff was rude talking about stupid stuff. Female Bartender was the only good thing.

Man, we’re winning all over lately. Exceptionally pleasant, expedient, and attentive staff. Our server, Tyler, forgot some mushrooms my fiancé has asked for and fixed it before we even noticed the problem. I tried out the new Portobello filet and they cooked it exactly the type of rare I requested. Very happy.

Food: 2 Service: 3 Ambience: 2 I was craving steaks a few days ago but didn’t want to spend a lot in a fancy steakhouse; so, we decided to try Outback Steakhouse for the first time. Besides, this restaurant advertises as an Aussie steakhouse so I was always curious about it. There is a huge parking lot in front of the restaurant so the parking is not a problem. Entering the restaurant, the first thing that took my eyes was the inadequate lighting. It was dark and gloomy inside. We ordered Blooming Onion as the appetizer. We had never tried such a thing and the picture in the menu looked cool. Well. What we got was not as pretty and the taste was all cooking oil. As the main course, we ordered medium Bone-In Ribeye steak. The steak came out half well-done and half medium-well. It was not even seasoned properly. Most likely, we won’t dine here again.

Oy mate this food is not too shabby. I would probably give it 3.5 stars out of five, but Unilocal doesn’t work that way, and I don’t feel a full four stars are warrented. Steaks are what they specialize in, and while there are many superior steak houses to be found, this place still does them nicely and at more of an affordable price if you are on a budget. Other dishes are hit or miss. The lamb is an a par with the steak. The ribs are OK, as are the burgers. I haven’t tried the chicken or seafood. Well, except the coconut prawns appetizer, those are crazy delicious. People seem to love the Bloomin Onion, but I am not one of those. It’s a deep fried salt bomb that brings the pain later with the heart burn. I advise against it unless you have at least three other people to split it with. A little goes a long LONG way. Sides and desserts are decent, nothing special. They also offer a full bar.

Danny at the Kirkland Outback is one of the best waiters we’ve ever had! I came here with my family for my birthday and he did everything right! Food was awesome as well! A very nice evening had by all! :D

No wait to get in and reasonably good waiter. Steak was cooked exactly as we requested However, the fries were soggy and meat a little bit flavorless. Our steak on the BBQ is way better tasting. For almost $ 100(4 people), I kind of expect better

Giving this 4 stars mostly for the staff who were fast and attentive during our visit. The quality of the food was good enough but not somewhere that I would want to go back to often. There were 3 of us and our son had the wings which he loved and I had the ribs and my husband had the steak. No specials. It’s a chain restaurant so food quality is somewhat expected and you should know that going in. How could they elevate their restaurants? I suggest that on some menu items, plating needs to be revisited — you taste with your eyes before you eat. All in all, pretty decent food but not memorable.

Outback Steakhouse definitely do one thing very well — they make great commercials to entice their customers — however, eating their food is somewhat a different experience. My 2 stars are almost just for the bloomin’ onion — it is HUGE and pretty tasty! I went with the sirloin and shrimp — it was just not good. Steak was dry, shrimp were way over cooked. My husbands order came out entirely wrong, and so we had to wait for his food to be started over, at which time my food was going cold waiting for his to come back out. They did not even offer a comp on his meal. The server did his best, but the food just doesn’t make this place worthwhile for me to spend my money.

I usually come to Outback when I want something with no frills, a hunk of meat, and don’t feel like cooking. This place usually does the trick but it’s really nothing special. The insides always feel dingy and dark to me. This location also seemed to have a weird smell. Every time I’ve been in here, the crowd was generally 75+ in age or else there were parents with lost of small children. I usually order a signature steak(the filet) with rice and soup. This last time around, the baked potato soup was edible(although it seemed like it might have been sitting out for a while) but the rice was gross. It was flavorless and dry. The steak itself was pretty good — I ordered it medium rare and it came out just as I requested. It needed some kind of flavoring on it but overall was fine. Maybe happy hour is better?

*This review is for the bar area only* I must have passed this restaurant by 1,000 times over the years but have never stopped in. Let’s face it: it looks rather frumpy and dumpy from the outside. I was just never moved to go inside. But recently a friend suggested we go here for happy hour on the spur of the moment, so I swung by straight from work. I was impressed! The lay-out of the bar was good, with lots of comfy booths and a central square bar island with a large wall-mounted tv. It was immaculate. We were early on a weekday and it was quiet and few people were there(in the bar or in the dining area. We could talk in privacy, which was great). Our waitress was super. I wasn’t feeling great and she suggested a ginger ale concoction that actually worked wonders for me. My friend had a few alcoholic drinks and they were good(she said). Without asking, they brought us out warmed bread, and it was fresh and tasty. The bathroom was clean. The menu was diverse. Our waitress came by a few times to ask if we needed anything. The prices were fine(I thought very reasonable). There’s ample parking outside. Seriously, what more does one need for a local bar? I’m not sure what the dining experience is here, but I would definately go back for the HH.
