Sure, it’s a store with a lot of new stuff. The 2 stars are for that. My personal issue with this Kmart is, it’s okay for me to pay outrageous markups on mediocre products, at best, yet it’s not okay for me to purchase something at it’s full value. I wanted quarters(I have been buying them at this location for a few weeks at once a week), and today, those are not for sale.

I use to like shopping at Kmart until yesterday. After shopping in the store for awhile I returned to my car, put my purse in it and the car locked itself. I have a 2013 Ford C-Max and so far it has been very reliable until now. I looked around for someone to ask if I could borrow their phone to call my husband to bring me a key but couldn’t find anyone. I returned to the store and tried to use their phone. I was promptly told that they only had one line out and it was being used and I would have to wait. I waited 15 minutes before I gave up and went to the store next door and asked if I could call from there. The manager offered his cell phone so I could make the 10 second call I needed to make so I could get out of the parking lot. I am truly disappointed in the customer service ladies in the front. I will definitely think twice about shopping there again.

Always messy and the stores layout makes NO scenes at all. Not the mention just everything seems dirty.

Here’s the deal, I like this store for the fact the lady who runs it is very nice, and there are a few nice ladies there happy to help, which is unusual for Redding. The bad thing is they have satellite internet to run your debit/credit, which won’t work if it’s raining. Today they ran my card twice, which put me over my limit, thus causing me to walk out of the grocery store with my head hung in shame due to insufficient funds in my bank account. I returned to Kmart and Wendy refused to give my money back. She says she can’t until the transaction goes through, which is in a few days. So, I am left with out a week’s worth of groceries for my family and no way to get any extra money. I have had a few employees lie about how the credit works there before, because later a nicer lady helps us use our points. It is ridiculous to lie at work, I will tell on you by getting your name from now on. Like Wendy, a store manager, refusing to give us our money back onto our card with what I am sure is laziness as she would not even try, shrugged her shoulders when we said would not return, and we used to prefer here over Walmart, spending hundreds here a month. They don’t care. I am sorry the lady who runs the place was not there, she would have helped, and she deserves a good review, but ma’am, you need to get rid of the lazy workers that lie, there are plenty of people who need jobs and actually like doing their work.

This store is in need of serious remodeling. But that’s about the only down side that I see. Yes, its disorganized. Yes, its a little dirty. But not more than any other department store.(Ok, maybe just a little). But trust me, the pros I have outweigh the bad in my eyes at least. I shop at kmart before target or walmart for multiple reasons. The first would be the rewards program. You get points that are equivelant to «kmart bucks» back on every purchase. Most stores only do that on qualifying items but kmart does it on all. Every couple months they send out an email with three bucks of points attatched for you to use too! That’s how I got two nightlights for 68 cents. :) Other than that, they seem to be the last place to double coupons!!!(up to a dollar). When you combine that with low prices and getting points back on everything, you really save a lot! I also really like the fact that layaway is year around. Walmart only does it during the holidays and target just doesn’t do it at all. I always seem to be able to find someone to help me, unlike walmart and the staff is friendly too. So when you consider all that, needing a store facelift just doesn’t seem to really matter anymore.

This store is in need of a facelift! It’s hard to believe that this was the place to shop before Wal-Mart took over the world. Its just as clean as Walmart is and attracts the same crowd. I would still rather shop here than walmart any day. Sometimes they even have better deals.

I wish I could give this store 0 stars. My experience here was absolutely ridiculous. I went to this store with a friend to purchase some stereo cables and a universal remote. The stereo cables where hanging in two rows, both marked for $ 4.99. I went to make my purchases, and noticed that the man in the electronics department had charged me $ 6.99 instead of $ 4.99. I pointed this out to him, and he went to check. He was nice about it and told me I was right, but he couldn’t do refunds back there, so we had to go up to customer service, and if they had any questions to call him. We went up to customer service, they scanned it and it came up to $ 6.99. I explained the situation and the woman working called back to electronics. I saw the man that had been back there walking in a different part of the store, so I assumed a new worker was back there, but it wouldn’t be a problem since the cables were clearly marked for $ 4.99. The person in the back didn’t know what the woman was talking about, so he came up front to see the cables and to check. After maybe 10 minutes, they are still telling me the price is $ 6.99, so my friend and I go back to show them. They had actually gone through the trouble to move all of the cables to a rack marked $ 6.99. By that time, the manager was with us, and we told her that they were clearly marked as $ 4.99 not 10 minutes ago, and she had the audacity to essentially say my friend and I were lying. I was appalled. At this point, the money wasn’t important, it was the principle of the matter. The manager told us, with extreme attitude, «well girls, it isn’t worth it to ME to argue this.» We all went up to the front of the store again, and she told the woman working there«Give them to her for $ 4.99, even though the price is $ 6.99. Customer Satisfaction.» She said this with such extreme sarcasm and so nastily that I wanted to throw something at her. I told her that I would NEVER come back to this store. Aside from the TERRIBLE customer service and the rude workers, the store is disgusting. It is dirty, run down, and an eyesore. Summary: The workers charged me incorrectly, went back and moved the products while I was up front at customer service, and then had the audacity to call me and my friend liars. Do yourself a favor and never go to that nasty store. I recommend Target, I’ve never had a problem with them, they are always nice and accommodating. K-Mart is terrible.

This place is in dire need of a remodel. From the time you walk in you can tell that at least 3 generations of your family have been around as long as this place. Maybe more. The prices here are ridiculous. Almost $ 5 for a box of Cheez-Its.$ 5.50 for a 12 pack of Coke? Get real. An all around ghetto, haggard place to go. As is the case with most Kmarts.

Although this store is old and has been around since the beginning of time, it’s not bad. Could use a face lift and a good scrubbing, but it’s not super dirty. This is the best place for holiday decorations, especially Christmas.
