Great views of the sunset, golf course, and ocean. They have a few benches to sit on and plenty of parking. Nice romantic spot.

Amazing. Wow, wish I had a paraglider. Oh, and knew how to paraglide. I tried to snap some pics of the 3 paragliders toying with the updrafts off the cliffs, weaving in tight circles. Too late in the day, the setting sun washed-out the shots.

I come to Palos Verdes quite often and I write some poems from time to time, wrote a few today. Enjoy! — — — — — — — — — – GASMONEY When I was younger I would always find change. My parents did not care for change But to me it always meant something. They would give me change to buy a soda or two But there was nothing worth more than gas money which allowed me to do what I wanted to Enough so I could roam up and down the hills Waiting for you while contemplating Waiting for you to turn down the street Waiting for you to find me waiting That was the best part of extra change. Driving around in circles, just in case waiting for you to leave work then finally see you driving and see your face Now, I still find extra change and drive up and down these hills Driving around in circles, smiling and laughing, but nothing is quite funny. Waiting for you was the best part of it all and once again, Im spending too much gas money.

This park space gets 5 stars for location alone. See the photos. It’s a 1−½ acre pocket park that was re-named this past summer to honor the first mayor of Rancho Palos Verdes, who recently passed on. The footbridge in the park has been dedicated to Police Officer Randal Simmons, the long-time LAPDSWAT officer who was killed in the line of duty. The park space is on the grounds of Trump National Golf Course, at the entrance. There are seating areas and a bike rack, the little bridge, a sculpture, a parking lot, four picnic tables, and not much else. Except for the spectacular views. I even saw a wedding taking place here one time, right next to PV Drive, haha. The bike path runs next to the park, so it’s a nice setting in which to take a break. The park does have a drinking fountain. Of course just down the drive is the clubhouse, with immaculate restrooms and great burgers. The outdoor grill offers one of the better burgers I’ve had in LA, in fact. Sit at an umbrella table overlooking another gorgeous public space, Founder’s Park. Which is exactly what I’ll be doing in about an hour…
