For over 20 years this performance space, or more accurately described as an idiom has been in existence supporting the arts and artist of all kinds. The space is home to various types of performances, events, movies, videos, writing, etc… any possible form in which art can be created and shared is supported by this space. The creator and founder, Tony Bellizi has opened and created inside his home a stage, art gallery, library, etc in a consistent effort to help support local artists and give them a space they can use to nurture and perform their works. «Fear No Art» — the consistent motto and guiding principle of the The Vault has allowed hundreds of performers of all types to bring their creations and expressions to thousands of audience members, but admittedly, the founder Tony would say that it probably still remains NYC best kept secret! Getting on the email list at is perhaps the best first step in getting info on upcoming performances and direct contact with Tony himself. If you do attend a performance you will see a collage of photos of the performers that have played here and you may just notice a photo of this Unilocal reviewers younger self gracing its walls when my hair was considerably shorter and lacking facial hair. Hard to believe it has been 2 decades since the start of The Vault!
